com.android.wallpapercropper has stopped error on TV box - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

Using the U2c android tv box with specs
2017 Model Android 7.1 TV Box Z Super 3GB RAM 32GB ROM Amlogic S912 64 Bits Octa Core Smart TV Box Support 4K 3D Dual Band WiFi 2.4GHz/5GHz
Whenever I try to change the wallpaper from the gallery app I get the error message in subject.
Also, whenever I install a launcher, the launcher usually crashes when I try to open it. Nova Launcher crashes immediately after opening. Go Launcher works but it cannot change my wallpaper. Arrow launcher can change the wallpaper (using bing wallpapers) but it does not work too well otherwise. All other personalisation apps that I have installed simply crashes whenever they try to change the wallpaper, or they crash when I try to open them, even the TV launchers, is there anyway to fix this?
I have cleared cache and soft factory reset from the settings. Willing to try anything. Thanks for any help you guys can give. Have a great day.

You could try mailing U2c - i had issues with the Z Pro s905x (SuperSU killed it and put me in a boot loop) the Guys at U2c were helpful and sent me system update that got me working again.
don't think forum rules allow email addresses posting however go to the below (put amazon dot co dot uk at the front of the below to complete the url - i have not yet made enough posts on the forum to be allowed to post links...)
/gp/product/B073WC1Z66/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
read the reviews for the device and you will see U2c replied to some reviews offering an email address to mail for support - look out for [email protected]

Hello, am looking for the stock rom for the u2c z pro s905x 2/8 android box. Have you had any luck contacting u2c helpdesk?

[Q] whatsapp doesnt work on N9 lte

I was a big fan of nexus since few years but never owned a nexus device.
Got my 1st nexus device the nexus 9 LTE but unfortunately cannot make phone calls and no SMS also with my Sim card. I was still fine with it but when I tried installing whatsapp it shows "your device isn't compatible with this version".
I need whatsapp anyhow.
I don't want to root my device also.
Attached is the picture of screenshot of my play store when trying to install Whatsapp.
Whatsapp is working but you have to sideload it. Download at: http://www.whatsapp.com/android/. Then install the apk en follow the instructions. No problem for me.
That works..great stuff..thanks mate...
Can you help me with other stuff too plz
1) use SMS with the Sim card inserted.
2) dialler keypad just to check prepaid credit on the Sim
3) screen mirror of a mobile to my n9
1) For sms I use evolve sms. It's working but you also have to sideload it. Just search for evolvesms 3.01 apk (latest version). I've contacted the creator of the app for enabling access through playstore but it is google who has to enable it because of hardware capabilities.
2) Sorry. Can't help you with this question. Maybe dail-in with hangouts?
3) You can try screenshare on playstore (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.springdesign.screenshare.browser.client). There is a seperate version for phones. I haven't tried it.
Bro I tried the screenshare app before of what you asked me to install. It only helps in data sharing.
I want an app which allows screen mirroring . want my tab screen to get displayed on my TV.
My Samsung phone works well with. My TV but this n9 , cast screen doesn't work

I've no problems casting my N9 to TV. I've a Samsung TV and a chromecast. Using hoppyslim as a ROM with elemental kernel.

Google Calendar installs, won't run.

I recently got a new Azpen A746g tablet. It's a low end device with a 1.3ghz quad-core Allwinner23 CPU (an ARM Cortex 7 design), 1GB RAM, 8GB flash, and Mali graphics driving a 7" screen in 800x480 resolution. It has Wifi but not Bluetooth (a "design-to-cost" measure). There's a slot holding a 32GB microSD card (the max it will take.) It ships with Lollipop 5.1. (Azpen is a vendor who doesn't push Android updates, so that's where it will stay.) It's rooted via Kingo Root. My local Micro Center outlet had them on sale for $30, so it's effectively an impulse purchase.
I've had several previous Azpen devices, and each has had quirks. This one is no different.
A previous model of the A746 shipped with KitKat 4.4, and included the stock Android calendar app, but Google Calendar could be installed and used instead. The current one also ships with the stack Android calendar app, and Google Calendar will download and install, but dies on open. I just get "Unfortunately, Calendar has stopped".
I tried disabling Calendar and Calendar Storage, and clearing the data on both, then rebooting and trying to run Google Calendar, with no success. I posted a query in the Google Calendar support forum but as expected got no real assistance. (When the moderator replying starts by telling me to try several things I stated I had tried in my initial post, I don't expect much.)
The main purpose in life for the tablet is eBook viewer, and it's fine for that, so not having Google Calendar isn't a show stopper. I can live with the stock calendar app for the limited usage I'm likely to make of it. I'm just scratching my head trying to figure out why Google Calendar dies on load. I looked at the Android log files, but couldn't see anything I could tie to the failure.
Does anyone have suggestions for debugging, and determining why Google Calendar dies when I try to run it? I can live without it, but I'm annoyed at not knowing why it fails.

Does it have play services or other Google apps working?

Try to root it and then you can do a logcat (which will help to diagnose this issue)

Please actually read my post. I already stated that the tablet was rooted, and that I had looked at the logs. (I use logcat to look at the log files.)

Yes. Play Services is there, and Chrome, Drive, Gmail, Google, Keep, Maps, Photos and YouTube are installed and work as expected. Google Calendar is the odd man out. It installs but won't run.
(The tablet came with Google Play Music installed as a system app as the default music player. I disabled it and installed the stock Android Music app. Musiic I might listen to lives on the external microSD card. I don't stream stuff on this device.)

NBC Sports App not working on KIII 905

Hey guys recently I upgraded to the KIII model of 905 android box. I've had success in getting apps like xfinity TV (latest) and Directv app to work. These apps are all great but I prefer the NBC Sports app as it looks and feels better to use, the problem is that after selecting a stream it shows the loading screen then kicks me from the app to the android home screen. I have tried looking into it and can not seem to find the problem, I've tried this on wireless and wired. Vpn running and dns to rule out anything. I've ran apps like xprivacy and receiverstop along with rootcloak but without success. Would anyone know of a reason it kicks me from the app? I have tried different versions of the app also. Older and newer. The app used to work on my old M8 box but that has died now. I would greatly appreciate some input or even a reply from someone who knows what the problem could be, Thanks alot guys.

My Play Library Widget disappeared after Android Beta Preview 3 OTA update.

Good Evening/Hello/Hi,
I own a Nexus 5X and I am running Android O Preview 3 using the Nova Launcher 5.2
Phone is not rooted and bootloader is still locked.
I recently downloaded the Android O Preview 3 OTA update directly f System Update settings. I was just before the OTA update running Android 0 Preview 2.
Problem :
Once the device updated and rebooted everything is working like a charm. Except, I found out that some of my widgets on my home-screen are not working anymore.
I can only see a grey rectangle with an Play icon and under written Setup. (see image attached)
I had 3 of those widgets and they were all "My Play Library" (One for My Movies, My Books and My Newstand).
When I try to re-add it from the widget menu. It's nowhere to be found it completely disappeared.
Any other people have this problem. Got a way to fix this ?
It was working correctly on Android 0 Preview 2.
I even tried to reboot and wipe the cache partition, tried also to change to another launcher like google now launcher to see if problem was related to Nova Launcher but still it's not there at all in either cases.

Thank You

Woke up this morning and mine was gone too. Looked exactly like your screenshot. I didn't install any updates though, I'm still stuck on Marshmallow, it was just gone. Google probably just killed it out of nowhere, as Google does.
This also happened to me. I'm wondering if it will ever come back. Any ideas for an alternative widget in the meantime?
Happened to me today as described. Sucks as it was my favourite feature to have all my books on my home screen.
Current solution was to add a folder using root explorer to data/app called com.android.vending-1.apk then go to airplane mode and force stop Play Store and uninstall updates. That reverted my Play Store app and prevented it from auto updating which will do for now.
Will link source to that tip when not on mobile.
Also interested in alternative widgets for this purpose.
Yeah, I noticed mine was gone too. I hope they add it back...
Adding more. Happen on my old nexus 7 2013. Definitely linked to Google removing the widget from the play store apk. Dammit it was a great widget. I could easily see my movies books and magazine. I'm pissed they did this without notice.
got the same problem on my galaxy S7 edge running Nougat, it's a right PITA
What a bummer! Gone for me too, on a completely stock Galaxy Tab S3 running Nougat. I used it for the digital magazines I subscribe to in Google Play Newsstand and it just disappeared without any notice.
Dammit Google. I used that for books too, on a 12" tablet, full screen. It was awesome. Why not fix it instead of removing it just like that? There are many of us who liked it a lot. Geez.
Anybody able to create a widget app that could replicate what the 'my library' app did?

WileyFox Swift 2 X - Google Phone Dialler (com.google.android.dialer) incompatible

Hi,
I have recently bought a Swift 2 X and am starting to think it may have been a mistake. I would really like to remove the pre-installed TrueCaller dialler and replace with the standard Google Phone from Play Store.
After contacting WileyFox support they told me:
I'm afraid that you cannot delete Truecaller from your device, however you can disable it which stops it from being able to access anything on your device.
Before you do this however, I would recommend to download another dialler from the Play Store. As soon as you have done this, you can safely disable Truecaller.
To disable TrueCaller please go to Settings > App and then scroll down to TrueCaller tap on it and then tap on disable.

When accessing the Play Store from my device the Google Phone app isn't visible (due to it being incompatible) and for confirmation of this when I view the app on the Play Store from my PC there is a message telling me "This app is incompatible with your device".
I am running Android 7.1.2 Build TOS249H-N2G48B. Can anyone tell me why the app isn't compatible or if there is a way I can get it to work please?
I installed it from apk mirror (there's a 'nonnexus' version from 5 december 2016 that works fine, other versions don't work).
Might I add that this is the one fix this phone really needs? Your purchase wasn't a mistake, the phone is quite good (value/money wise & software support wise), they just made the mistake of bundling this dialer...
EDIT - if you don't want to sideload, you can always try zero dialer or exdialer (both of which get somewhat favourable reviews online)
Great! Thanks very much for your advice - I'll give those options a try.
Set as default dialer
I figured it how to make the Google dialer work properly. You've got to go into the apps section of settings then click on the cog at the top of the screen.
Near the bottom of the screen you'll see phone app, click on that and choose Phone. Hey presto, it works!

This is on one of my WileyFox Swift 1, the other is still on 6.0.1
Thank you very much for zero dialer (Play Store), I have been struggling with the default basic Truecaller ever since I downgraded (YES, not a typo) from 6.0.1 to 7.x.x
The lack of call blocking drove me to trying to solve the problem again.

Thanks for confirming. Would you care to do a very short review of the Zero dialer? maybe some screenshots, what works well, ...?
Even if you don't, it's good to know that there is another viable option than the nonnexus which I've been using.
