I remember back in my old WM ROM cooking days there were some apps that could be baked into the ROM with pre-configured settings such as the phone number that way if the phone was stolen and SIM changed, it would automatically send an SMS to a backup number and from there you could issue hidden SMS messages to track and wipe the phone. I see there are quite a few aps out for android that can be installed, BUT with modern tech savvy thief's the first thing the do is wipe and then put in their own SIM so any security apps you had are gone and useless. I like the simple functionality of the build-in ADM but would like to know if there was any way to pre-configure the app before a CWM flash so it would survive a device wipe "just not a re-flash unfortunately unless we could lock the recovery in the future so that only Odin would reset". Thoughts?
This morning my Nexus5 with kingroot to root the phone did not root successfully. Root card in four-color process rotating ball where cell phone data is not backed up. Chousi.
My Nexus5 is 5.1.1 systems, kingroot during the first appeared as if I press the volume bootlord unlock selected above yes, after the word GOOGLE appear below the icon has a big lock, the phone has been in a four-color ball rotation then on pc software interface displays root failed.Becauese I did not backup,I want to find my data.If I Can not enter the operating system, copy data storage module hardware?
My phone is a (cheap) Wiko Ozzy. I know it's not the greatest machine ever but it does the job for my mobile needs (being able to quick search the internet everywhere and communications), it was only 80€ new and it comes with no bloatware but google's. Also to root it a simple framaroot run does the job.
I have the phone customized alot, many xposed tweaks, automate, nova laucher, gravity box. The rom is the stock 4.2.2
One day I was messing up with android tweaker 2 and changed the dalvik heap size. When I reboot it the did not boot... It had that vibration key feedback problem. lol....
I went into recovery mode and made a backup... Yes, I did not had one and made it after the boot problem.
For my luck Wiko has a website with the roms they put on phones for download. With a simple program you can reinstall the rom very easily. I did it and my phone booted. I then tried to restore the backup I had previously done and for my surprise it boot with all my customizations but root access and busybox that I had to reinstall.
So what is the problem you ask?
Well I lost access to the phone storage and now It says Im out of space when I try to install apps
I used to have SDcard, Internal Storage and Phone Storage.
And I used to have the option to default install on sdcard and phone storage. The phone storage option disappeared but on the bottom of the page there is a mount option for it that just wont work.
I also tried to access it on windows and even after formatting the phone storage drive (windows was prompting for it and since the phone worked all fine without access to it I did it) the problem persisted...
Can you help me please?
I wanted to make the apps install on phone storage without having to make a real factory reset so I dont end without all my tweaks...
No one have any ideas?
I dont know what more can I add...
The phone is working fine... the only thing missing is one of the three partitions I had before the reinstall...
The weirdest to me is that in the storage settings I have the option to mount the "Phone Storage" but it fails.
I click it and the bars for type of files appears and disappears a few seconds later with the notification: you can safely remove phone storage....
Now I cant even install Adobe Air to try .swf viewer because it says it is out of space... It's like it ignores the sdcard default install option (the only one I have now and that is selected).
hello everyone,
i installed the app called "Hidden Android Settings" then i was seeing it's option.... then i clicked on "BAND MODE" it showed me this option:
Set GSM/UMTS bands (USA Band)... then i clicked on it and it said, band successfully set, and since then i lost my network, and my phone now is with no service
i uninstalled the app and went to network mode and changed it back to LTE/GSM as it was but nothing changed... i even did reset network in backup and reset options but nothing has changed.. now i put my sim card in my tablet and it works... when i do carrier manual search it shows my carrier, i wasn't able to select it.... also restarting many times, reinserting sim card, airplane mode... i did all, nothing helped!!!!
PLEASE ANYONE KNOW ANY SOLUTION AVAILABLE TO RESTORE MY NETWORK?
thank you all
Backup all data from your internal storage that you want, remove SD card, wipe phone completely with flash tool and flash the latest ftf and you should be good.

Have you tried manually setting up a new APN?
Hello,
For a long time I'm using my good old friend OnePlus One, it works great to me on stock AOSP CM-13.1.2 until yesterday. I fail in the name of good and terrible thing has happened xD.
I wanted to stop draining my battery by apps which all the time were using GPS service to track my location so I started to make some change in settings -> privacy guard settings -> Location permission.
I tried to change the permission to those apps from "Allowed" to "Always ask". I do mistake and change permission to Google Play Services. After that I restart my phone. Now every time my OnePlus One is stuck/freeze after booting screen and I see only black screen and popup window in center with requests to give Location permission to Google Play Service.
Touch screen not working when is press to Allow, It cant go ahead to lock screen.
My phone is not rooted, locked bootloader, no TWRP, only stock Cayanogen recovery with options:
Reboot system now
Apply update -> Apply from ADB->ADB Sideload
Factory reset -> Full factory reset or Wipe cache partition ( I dont want lose my data on phone)
Advanced-> Reboot recovery
Advanced-> Reboot to bootloader
I read on internet that I need to modify or delete /data/system/appops.xml file
What can I do now, how can I do this modification without losing data.
Can I do it from shell console ADB? and which option I have to choose in recovery to connect my laptop OS: win XP with OnePlus One?
I read that i can do it by TWRP recovery but i dont have it on OPO. Can I safely flash it to phone without losing data? Bootloader is locked.
Is there any tutorial how to do it safely? How to Delete or download, modiffy and replace file /data/system/appops.xml using ADB commands, backup my personal data to PC, connect with phone by ADB with computer.
Any help needed. Sorry for my bad english.
Best Regard
ArkadiSEA
