Hi,
I am using a Gadgetshieldz screen protector on my S7. I am looking for a case/back cover something like this-
http://www.ebay.in/itm/BACK-COVER-F...845565?hash=item212b81c4bd:g:ZEUAAOSwknJX0bgs
https://www.amazon.in/Sandstone-Qui...36912&sr=8-5&keywords=samsung+galaxy+s7+cover
just to cover the back part of the phone and to get some grip. I have ordered like hundred's of cases from different websites but they mess up the protector eventually. Can you guys please suggest any case which won't mess up the protector? The thickness of the case don't matter as I just need it for the grip.
Thanks
I literally just went to Walmart and got the 2 layer and also the 1 layer protection case from bodyglove. For just that reason. Protect the sides and back but don't mess up my protector. It leaves a slight gap between the screen protector and the case so it will never mess it up. Perfect for me. And wireless charging still works. The cases are cheap and do exactly what I want.

Can you share the photos of your case?
I ordered more cases in the meantime and the result was the same. I saw someone having a s8 and his case having edges only on the top and bottom. The sides weren't having any protection. Are those kinda cases available for the s7?

I could but it's my only way to take pics so not with the phone in it which defeats the purpose lol. I'll see if I can take pics tomorrow with someone else's phone and text them to myself. If you go to Walmarts website and search for s7 cases or s7 bodyglove cases it's probably the 2 cheapest ones they sell haha. They are super thin and like silicone. Perfect for me. I'll try to get pics with the phone in the case tomorrow.

Unfortunately Walmart in my area is not selling the same. But if I get the photos I can ask the sellers on eBay to arrange a case like that for me. Will wait for the photos. I tried a case last night also and it was crap. The cases that they have for the s7 edge in which the sides don't have any case protection just the lower and upper part of the phone, I am eyeing that for the s7.

I use the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle - it is a combination grip-case and snap-in holder (the case snaps into the holder, which clips on). The audio and power jacks have covers, but they can be uncovered to access those jacks - that means that the cover can be left on. The sides are neoprene, and the back and holder are hard plastic (all in basic black). $12.99 USD @ Amazon.

By the looks of it, it will also mess up the protector installed

I like my Speck Candyshell case. It's stout enough to offer good protection, while still being pocket friendly. It's kind of a pain to insert/remove the phone since it's a very tight fit, but it doesn't interfere at all with my Walmart brand tempered glass screen protector.

I'm thinking of getting one. How is it holding up for you? specifically are the rubber strips coming off? or the gloss plastic prone to scratches?

This is a good fit and I think if you have a screen protector just on the screen then it shouldn't be a problem.

Agam it is good considering there is no tempered glass alternative but one thing I would like to suggest you my brother please do not go for any kind of cover from the market because I have tried like millions of them and every cover will eventually mess up your screen protector and the strips on the sides. Bottomline do not use any cover if you are using gadgetshieldz protector.

Oh I was worried about that, I think you should install a skin at the back. Like a leather or sandstone one.
If you find a good tempered glass for s7 in india, do mention it. Since Samsung had the offer of 1 yr screen replacement, I'm braving it without any screenguard right now.

I have installed the complete set of Gadgetshieldz which covers the phone 360 degrees. There is no tempered glass for these curved/fully curved phones, period. I would suggest you to install GS protector. It will be better than having no protector at all.

After 3-4 months of use, the rubber is still perfect. Since I live in the Arizona desert, there's sand everywhere, so there are many tiny scratches on the rear glossy plastic. If you're not in an area where literally everything is coated in a fine, abrasive sand, I have a feeling the plastic would probably show considerably less wear with normal usage. All in all, I've been very satisfied with the Candyshell. For a $7 clearance item I found at Walmart, I think I got a steal.

Saw another post with link to it, but here's a review of the case. It's not super bulky. But add enough protection for most

Just got one of these. My question is to pop the included screen protector off and just go with the one that came with the Nexus or peel that one off and go with the Supcase protector. I've read reviews of people suggesting both.
This is a durable feeling and looking case. I've always had UAG cases in the past but this one seemed to offer a little more protection.

I find a tempered glass screen protector under the plastic built-in one to be the best. It sits really flush this way and you can't see the halo in the glass screen protector because of the case.

If you do this, make sure you after you pop the built in screen protector off you scrape off the black adhesive that held it on or it will fuse to your screen protector and rip it off if you take off your case. Any small metal tool can be used but be careful not to scratch the case. After its removed you can use some qtips and a little bit of rubbing alcohol to clean any residual adhesive.
I didn't do this originally and my case was stuck to my screen protector for 2 months till I finally decided to try and force it off and it ruined my screen protector.
I'm going to keep my supplied screen protector on along with the case screen protector.

Good luck, sensitivity sucks!
No problems with sensitivity so far. I like the case. Little bulky but the phone feels safe.

The edges of the screen sometimes take a few tries to respond!
I have this case. Its fantastic for work. Its awfully bulky though! But, with that bulk you get great protection.
Its great if you need the protection. I typically remove the phone from the case when I'm home.

This is what I described doing in a different topic - used an X-Acto knife and it took about 10 minutes to get all the plastic protector's adhesive off, which I felt might stick or lift up the lip of their case on the actual screen protector I'm using.
However, I also found that the Supcase didn't sit perfectly flush on the Nexus 6 with my own screen protector after removing their plastic one - one longer side has a gap between the frame and my protected phone surface.
So, I am keeping this case as a backup, only.

Just got this case from EBay .I must say Dam good quality cases an holster love it..actually kind of like its design an fit better then Otterbox...feels more solid..
Had the case for a while its pretty good. Not a daily case for me as I switch when doing different jobs. It's actually kind of hard to get off that's a good thing for some people.
I've just had to return mine after using it for a few days. When taking pictures with the rear camera flash on, the flash and case don't work well together and the pictures are spoilt (first pic is with case, second without. You can see the tint that having the white case on causes). Disappointing as I have already had the screen break on me (first time ever!) and was happy of the extra protection that this case affords
For the most part I go naked with my N6. I am ordering one of these cases for when I go golfing and maybe some other activities where I want to have the best protection. I am keeping the supplied protector cause it will keep dust and water from getting on my phone. Which is, by the way, the reason I am going with this brand because most of the other "tough" cases don't have that.
How does this case fit around the speakers? Is it open letting dust in under the screen protector or are the speakers sealed?
They are open, dust can accumulate
I've been using mine for months now with no problems. only complaint is the camera port is long. Dust an small debris gets under screen protector, its slightly bulky but worth the protection. Both factory screen protector an case built-in on an notice a little touch sensitivity loss, but worth the protection! Add the fact that the N6 is water resistant an its damn near perfect!
First off, I have ZERO affiliation with this company - I paid full price for the case and waited 2 weeks for it to come from China (I had this case with my V20 and was happy they made it for the S8)
I have bought slim cases from Ringke, Spigen, Caseology for the S8 (all from Slickdeals $$$ off posts) and so far all of them felt a bit too slick and thick(compared to what I've experienced with other phones).
I don't know why more companies don't use the "Salient point" design (what this company calls the textured back)
Makes it extremely easy to hold the phone and a good feel in the hands.
Is it worth $10 when you have other slim case options out there for much less (with promotions)? Since I've experienced the feel of it previously I personally think it's worth it. I do wish they had US stock and didn't ahve to wait so long for it.
Now I will say this thing is THIN, like this is going to offer almost no protection from a drop thin (you get corner and back protection but that's about it). I didn't get it for that, I got it to help with holding the phone. Will a skin accomplish the same- probably and I've considered the Dbrand Dragon skin too.
I will say the case fits SNUG - I had a hard time getting it off to take some pics of it

http://www.ebay.com/itm/232311855985
the thinnest case would be ones made out of polypropylene. some of them get as thin as PAPER. others get thicker/harder plastic feel, but no real point as any drops will crack your glass...
I always buy TPU thermo polyurethane which is very resilient and i've been surprised a few times on how it protected my phones. the thinnest TPU i found are the CIMO
https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Cimo-...011&ie=UTF8&qid=1493474636&sr=8-5&keywords=s8
I have the Spigen which is too thick, back side measuring 1.4mm on my calipers
EasyAcc TPU which i'm rocking right now which is 1.3mm
Cimo which hasn't come in yet, but... I've had them for s6 and s7 and it only measures 1mm
I like to cut a small hole and mod the TPU cases so that it works on my modded magnetic charger.

I have this case. It's really nice. Fits well, and really is the thinnest possible case at just .025" thick. I must say it is a little slippery even after using it for a few days. I'll probably try and find a similar one that has a bit better grip, but I would certainly recommend it.
I'd also like to mention there is a small raised lip around the camera opening make the fingerprint reader easier to find while adding a little extra protection the camera.

Loving it so far. It is a bit slippery though, not like other TPU cases I have which provide more grip. The separation between the camera and fingerprint scanner is a nice touch too. I'm guessing it is made from some sort of TPU., it is soft and flexible but not silicone. Be aware this is very light protection. I just wanted something to prevent scratches caused by everyday use. I was going to go naked, but this is pretty close and gives some protection.
I'm loving the new spidgen neo hybrid case
Not sure what spidgen case(s) you've tried this far but I absolutely love the neo hybrid case...
Highly recommend this one...

For under 15bux hell, I bought 2 (different colors)!
Look, this case is meant to be a minimalist case so I'm not messaging any claims about what would happen if you dropped it face (screen) first onto gravel or an uneven surface but face first on a flat surface the screen is protected and any other basic drop on a corner, back or side I'm fairly certain it would be fine... I'm even able to charge on a Samsung qi wireless charger with the case on...
The textured back is perfect for holding it and gives the phone a nice secure fit to your hand...
I'd give it a 9/10 as it could use a little motmore stand out protection at top and bottom to better protect The screen - but that said, this case is soo thin you won't even notice it on your front jeans our slacks pocket... its seriously svelte...
I picked up spidgen's screen protector 2pk and it's just ok not a fan of The clarity but it's staying put without issue in this case and will have to do until zagg remedies their issues with Their tempered glass for the s8 which is virtually useless and not very case friendly... (if anyone has found a good tempered glass protector for the s8 please tag me or pm me -ty)

I also have the Nillkin PC Ultra thin case and have also found it to be to best compromise between offering decent protection and staying pretty slim. There also a tiny lip on the screen side so that it won't rest the glass on surfaces. Looking at it from the front, you can hardly tell that the case is on. The Nature TPU case by Nillkin is also very nice, but you can only get it from China at the moment.

How is the grip
---------- Post added at 05:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:49 AM ----------
Does the olixar flexishield actually have something special for grip? They say it's a non slip coating but is it any different than regular tpu
So I'm getting my S8 today but I still don't have anythong for its protection.
1.) What is the best CLEAR case for this device that gives it basic (slim but not too slim)? I also want to have that raised lip for the fingerprint sensor in the back.
2.) For screen protectors, is Temperd Glass recommended for curved devices? If so, which one is best?
I want to have the total cost for these at a minimal as I don't feel like spnding a lot just for the these basic accessories.
Thanks for the help!
Well I wasted almost 30 bucks on screen protectors and the only thing I can say is DO NOT buy any 3D tempered glass that is supposed to cover whole front. The main problem here is the adhesive which is located only on edges of the protector. There is air between screen and protector, which sometimes decreases touch responsivity, forcing you to apply some pressure in certain areas so that the input is registered. Also, most of these 3D glass protectors collide with many cases, so they simply don't work. Personally, just go for some decent case that will secure your device from drop, like RhinoShield or Spigen Neo Hybrid. If you care about design and don't want to lose it, go for something clear and thin/ultra thin
I bought a Baseus case from eBay and lobe it so much. So thin and light and matches perfectly. They are in Amazon too.
Also works with my Darth Vader skin that I have on the back so it still shows that off.

So are you saying not to go with any screen protector at all? Does this apply to the usual "flimsy" screen protectors as well?
Definitely do not buy any harted glass. I have ordered 3D TPU film that has adhesive on whole surface it will ship on thursday so I will tell ya if it works or not

I strongly thinking of going back to no protector. I tried glass and the White Stone dome one was great except the glue on the side kept chipping out and looked terrible. I've got a film protector on now from Best Buy Canada and again it feels so crappy compared to the naked screen. If I remove it I'll still be careful but I do have insurance just in case. I already don't use a case (only a skin) for the very same reason...that I want to enjoy the feel and look of this beauty, not cover to up to protect it for someone else in the future.

I did that with my HTC 10 for a year for the same reason and it has no scratches or micro-abrasions at all. I think it's pretty safe to assume the S8 will be no different. As for going caseless... I wouldn't recommend that for a device mainly made of glass lol. Check out the Supcase review I just posted and try it out if you like. If not, return it or at least you'd have something to put on your phone when you're going somewhere or doing something that may cause you to drop it.
Buy yourself genuine samsung screen protector tpu version and genuine samsung light case.....or silicon case genuine.... all goes 100% together.
@Hunteres
But then you oay more than what you should be paying? And that there are others that are even of higher quality than Samsung? Pass.

Is this the first time that Samsung hit it correctly? Are these generally cheaper in eBay than when bought from Samsung stores?

Right, I don't have a doubt regarding their genuineness. It's just that there are other screen protectors like the Spigen Neo Flex that costs $8.99 for a 2-pack as well. Same goes for the clear cases, there are others that are significantly cheaper than the Samsung. So I'm just wondering how do these fare with the official Samsung ones. Any thoughts?

I agree. My only concern though is that I kinda want the "raised lip for the fingerprint sensor" feature that the Ringke cases offer and I don't think the Spigen cases have that.

Well, yeah, but I want to know how the Spigen compares to the Ringke. Maybe it is better in terms of other departments and the like.
im using the Ringke fusin clear case.
i absoultly love it, its offer all the feature's im looking at case (thin, clear and lift on top and bottom of the screen)
im gonna order the Spigen liquid Crystal as well. as the reviews says its very good case. (remindes the Ringke features)
I'm using the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. I think it a great case. I had the same one on my S7 Edge for a year.

I just finished installing the Whitestone Dome tempered glass screen protector. Initial thoughts so far is it's the best on the market hands down. Make sure you check for case compatibility before you purchase it though. The price is a little steep at $45 but well worth it IMO. The adhesive is under the entire glass and uses a UV to cure. Clarity and touch performance seem to be spot on. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06Z...+galaxy+s8&dpPl=1&dpID=51W7ozwV4HL&ref=plSrch

Me too, in Midnight Black color! Very elegant and nice.
Haven't understand yet if the clear back will become yellow or not in time...
About the screen protection, I'm a tempered glass lover. Since I've been using them I've saved all my old phones.
I've tried some curved glasses on my S8, but finally the Zagg Sapphire Curve is available in Europe and I've ordered one!
I know, it's not glass, but it's supposed to be harder then glass, and got now it's the cheapest solution for having a protection this good that adheres to all the device's screen.
And I've seen that it's case friendly and that not that bad in touchscreen sensitivity!
Will let you know

The Spigen ultra hybrid on my S7 Edge stayed pretty much clear the year I had it. I'm using a Armorsuit Military screen protector. It's not glass but it will do for now. It's really difficult to find a tempered glass protector for a curved screen. It seems like all if them are junk. I wait and let others experiment until there is one that really works without issues.

For clear case, my recommendation would be the Spigen Ultra Hybrid clear or the Otterbox Symmetry Clear. The otterbox is slightly chunkier but not much.
As for a screen protector I've tried the Samsung official one and the Spigen Neo Flex.
The Samsung one is a dry application and therefore is extremely difficult to get on right without dust spots. I tried it on 3 different phones and didn't get either of them right, even with the dust removal sticker.
The Spigen Neo Flex is a wet application which is far better cause when it dries out it leaves no dust spots or air bubbles. But imo the corners aren't a perfect fit for most cases. Again I tried a few and even with Spigen cases the corners lifted on all of them. A little trimming of the corners with a scalpel solved this. This protector isn't as clear looking as the Samsung dry film but is of the "military material type" and so self heals with any minor dings and scratches. I'd trim the corners a little (follow the contour of the corner and trim off a mm or two) before applying this for best adhesion on all corners for a case. It def has a slightly different feel to screen but at rhe moment I think this is the best solution of at the moment to protect out precious S8 screens.
Hope this helps.

I've been reading/watching many different reviews regarding tempered glass for OnePlus 5 here and in other websites.
Currently, it seems that there isn't a decent full-covered tempered glass .
Should I just order Otterbox Achiever and just retain the stock screen protector that OnePlus 5 comes with until a decent full-covered tempered glass comes out? I know that case and screen protector protect different parts of the phone but I don't want my future phone to be defenseless.
I'm willing to listen to your suggestions.
Thank you!
Tempered glass is great, rellay protected many of my phones. Currently I have a Orzly tempered glass on my Oneplus 5, I also bought an otterbox but it raises the glass. It sucks that one has to choose between otterbox protection and tempered glass protection.

I also want a tempered glass but the reviews on Orzly are bad. I've read that it's only good at the start but as hours or days pass by, dust will get under it or the glue will start to come off, etc. There were also reports of rainbow effect.
What's your experience?

I have some rainbow effect. The biggest problem is that it is not compatible with the otterbox. The otterbox raises the orzly tempered glass. Does anyone know of a tempered glass that works with otterbox? I guess some do but that is the kind which has black frames that cover some of the screen.

I think there's no otterbox-compatible full-cover tempered glass right now. That's why I'm thinking of dropping the idea of tempered glass for now and just buy otterbox.
I'll just change case when there's a good tempered glass.

I've gone the route of the Otterbox and the Nilkin TGP which isn't ideal as it's not a full screen protection (but is full adhesion with zero rainbow) BUT it covers the majority and the Otterbox will do the rest.

If it is alright, can you give us pictures of your OP5?
I have an Otterbox and temper glass. I watched a YouTube video comparing the temper glass with a lot of cases and validated that it fit. I feel as though his review was solid and honest and I've been happy with the combination and would recommend it.
However, I do see microdots in full sun exposure but it's not enough for me to complain about. It doesn't pick up finger prints or smears either. I do see from time to time an "oil spill" effect but it goes away after being out of my warm pocket for a few moments. Afterall, then adhesive is only around the edges so this oil effect is expected to me.
I put my protector on as straight as I could however, I could have done better (does come as a two pack) Thus, maybe once a week I do have to reseat the case because it does appear as though the case grabs on to the glass only by the volume rocker, which already is the most flimsy part of the case. Again, not a big deal for the added protection that I want and it rarely happens. Besides, you should be cleaning your case once a week anyways so there.
Hopefully that's helpful. Here's the YouTube link-
https://youtu.be/Ei4woZ7ZRJU
I like to note that the Spigen case supposedly works too however, I haven't broke down and bought one yet.
If anything, not to hijack, I wouldn't buy an Otterbox. It's too filmsy around the volume rocker. It needs a harder TPU shell.
Cheers

Sadly only other photo taking device I have is my PS Vita so quality isn't great but you can clearly see the edges etc, fortunately the protection of the Otterbox gives about a 2mm lip as well so likelyhood of hitting the unprotected parts is slim.

Hmmm. I'm a heavy watcher of anime in phones when I'm traveling by bus or train so I guess, I'm gonna pass with Nillkin.

Yeah understandable, it's annoying that there seems to be no perfect solution to this, I've heard the RhinoShield Crash Guard is a possible assuming you also put a skin on the back to protect that.
I'm happy with the solution I have as I feel it gives the best possible protection right now, although appreciate it's not ideal for media consumption. Good luck in finding what suits you best :good:

Yes, I agree. It's kind of disappointing that it's been months since the release of OP5 and there are still no decent tgsp.
Hi all,
I have a spigen neoflex TPU protection on my s23 ultra, with a plastic spigen case.
I've bought an official Samsung leather case, and it seems really nice.
But, the neoflex is a bit to short on the sides, so that my finger feels the border of the screen protection every time I swipe left or right.
So, I would like to replace the neoflex with a tempered glass protection.
Do you know one who will fit well?
I have had a really bad experience with an Oppo find X5 pro : I've tested 5 tempered glass brands and every time my beautiful official Kevlar case unglued the tempered glass in the corners...
Thank you for your help
Whitestone dome or Spigen have been the best in my experience.
Avoid amfilm at all costs.
I have domeglass with leather samsung cover. In my opinion everything is fine. Of course glass not cover full screen and is about 1,5 mm smaller than all screen - safe "bumper" for covers.
I have too spigen optic armor and with domeglass is perfect fit, no one gap between case and glass but I seldom use this spigen.
Since S23 Ultra has a curved screen, I dont really think you should get a tempered cause either they dont cover the curved area or if they do, I dont really trust the protection they offer. For Curved Screen, I suggest getting a Screen Protector Film just to be safe. There is a Full-Body Screen Protector from Gadgetshieldz that covers the screen and other parts of the device like the sides, back and camera. Cases dont necessarily help with the scratches cause Ive seen multiple devices getting permanent marks inspite of the cases mostly due to the dust and things. So best to keep everything protected with either a Skin or a Full-Body protector. They also provide Skins if thats what you prefer.

Yaa I swear. All my previous devices had this issue. Ive used the best of the best cases and they still have these tiny scuffs which are permanent. This reduced the resale value of my devices and thats when I opted for this Full-Body Coverage cause I really dont mind spending a bit more to avoid these permanent damages. Im thinking of getting it wrapped with Skins next time.
So I am happy with still good stick fabric foil around frame .
Sometimes better use only minimalistic covers, not too bulky and happy with device than see scratches or crack after more time with angry tell "what was it for all this protections"

Both screen protectors and skins they provide barely adds any bulk. they are literally as thick as a sheet of paper and I dont think you can go any thinner
