Guys, my cousin got me a new brand sprint s8+, unlocked of course and I'm from Tunisia.
However I've got some questions about it:
I'm using Tunisia's carrier mi Sim not Sprint, but I've noticed that 4G is not perfect as it should be, had A7 2017 before and the 4G in the A7 worked perfectly, but in s8+, sometimes I strugle with the 4G and it says on top, "LTE" not 4G like the one in A7, wondering why ? maybe cause I'm not using sprint carrier ?
I wanted to instal a stock firmware of s8+, the international stock one not sprint firmware, is it possible ? cause some applications and some service are from sprint that I'm not using them and useless to me that take up my the RAM memory and even drains battery, so where to get that firmware and is it possible to instal it in my phone ? g955u model

Working on T-mobile service and i only get 1 to 2 signal bars.
Also, it runs on 4G and i don't get 4G LTE.
How do i convert it to the T-mobile s9+ ?
My wife has the t mobile brand and she gets full signal with 4g LTE.
I'm new here with the Samsung community but i have been htc fan for the past 9 years and its over.

Root then in TWRP terminal or wherever type echo "TMB" > /efs/imei/mps_code.dat then flash the G96XU omc folder in a CSC tar and should be good to go.

Are you planning on rooting it? If so there is a way to make your phone work full with T-Mobile.
Is there a way to do this to make it work on the bell network in Canada? I don't mind rooting it just been a few years since I've done anything like that so a walkthrough would be awesome

My wife's Galaxy Note 8 somehow boots to different firmware based on SIM card inserted into it which surprised me since I thought that phones are usually coming with single firmware for either provider. I'm considering switching to T-Mobile from ATT and I have ATT branded Galaxy S9+ unlocked. My question will it have the same experience I noticed on my wife's phone or I have to deal with flashing firmware etc to make it work properly with WiFI calling etc features of native T-Mobile ROM?

Thanks for contacting us. Samsung integrated new firmwares on S8 and newer model phones. Means whatever sim card you insert, it will program according to it. If you insert T-Mobile sim card, phone will restart and will show T-Mobile logo and apps. Same for AT&T and other GSM carriers. If you are AT&T user. Please insert the AT&T sim card and phone will ask you to restart the device with AT&T logo and apps. Tap yes.

If unlocked ATT branded GS9+ phone will work on any other carrier, what is the point of the threads below about flashing T-Mobile CSC (or whatever it's called) to ATT phone and vice a versa, etc if phone already supports switching between carriers on it's own?

Since I inserted my T-Mobile sim card I can only get the 4G signal and no LTE (also tried Verizon sim card and the same result). Speed test on 4G with a few different location (Northwest) and the result from 1.00mbps - 22 mbps max. I online chat with Samsung support and found out that USA don't support dual-sim and that's the reason I don't get the LTE service.
Is there a custom ROM or a way to flash my phone so that I can use the LTE service on my phone?

Sorry but whoever told you they don't support DS sounds like BS to me, the carrier only see the phone signal, they don't know if it's coming from a single sim, dual sim or multi sim gateway device.
If you go into.....
settings --> connections --> mobile networks
and make sure both sims are set for LTE
1- 4G/LTE are the same. LTE/4G icon changes depending on ROM and carrier.
2- Samsung agent has no idea. It's a person on a generic building in India contracted by Samsung most probably.
If you own a dual sim s9+ you can get both modems/sims to work on 4G/LTE even at the same time.
If you see 4G you are working on LTE. Then what speed you get it depends on several factors, not just the phone or signal

I want to get the international version of the S9 Plus but I'm not sure how compatible it is with the T-Mobile network. Will the international version of the S9 Plus work with the T-Mobile network? And also I want it to be able to root the phone because I know the Snapdragon version of the S9 Plus has a locked bootloader. Any advice?

all USA model Galaxy phones with snapdragon processors have locked bootloaders. The F variant is what you want and yes, they work just fine on t-mobile. at&t too.

I ran an international Tab S2 on T-Mobile, and it worked pretty much just fine in Los Angeles. I was kind of curious how this might work now, if the network has changed since then or whatnot, and then how the merger with Sprint might affect it in the near future. Any info is appreciated!

I attempted to flash the international T865 on my unlocked T-Mobile S6 LTE with Odin and a Patched Odin but in each case it failed.

Yeah I don't think that works. Have you tried putting a smartphone sim in your T-Mobile S6? I'm sure the system will recognize it as a tablet and not a phone. That's why I want to order an 865 international model. But then again I guess I might look into how much it costs just to add some tablet data to my plan.

I have a smartphone sim (no difference than an normal sim) and get mobile data which allows me to use the phone when WiFi is not available (I don't want to use my phone as a hotspot). The T-Mobile LTE tablet cannot make phone calls or text but can use the text and call on other devices option on Samsung phones which allows you to use the Tablet using your phone number.
On other samsung devices the US models use the Snapdragon chip while the international model uses the exynos chip which can easily unlock the bootloader and root the phone or tablet. I understand that the S6 LTE tablet is using only the Snapdragon chip worldwide so rooting may be much more difficult. However the international version should have the OEM unlock available so the bootloader can be unlocked. Normally I only get the international versions and root, but if is getting more difficult each year to root the Samsung devices. I bought a used S6 LTE and am happy with my tablet.

So you have a smartphone sim in your T-Mobile Tab S6 LTE, and can get unlimited data? Is it a T-Mobile SIM or another carrier? I tried that some years ago with a different tablet and it didn't work because the system recognized it as a tablet and not a smartphone. That would be cool if it works though, I don't care that much about calling and texting, but unlimited data would be cool.
I like the international models too because they can be used like huge phones lol, but they don't have all of the T-Mobile LTE bands, but I think they have enough that it works okay.
