I have been using resurrection remix for a while now but flashed xiaomi.eu ROM to try it out. (based on Android 6.0). However I am unable to get tethering to work. Hotspot and usb tethering refuses to work. I have a TWRP backup of my original stock ROM and that also does not work, which leads me to believe there is a firmware issue. Is there any firmware i need to flash after going from custom ROM to MIUI?

I have SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE S5830i and installed MindCr Rom v2.4. I wonder if i install another custom rom without flashing back the original stock rom will it work? I had done this before and it causing bootloop problem. Is there other way to do this?
Nope. Backing to stock ROM is important for CM-based custom ROM's. If it's a stock-based ROM, you can install over it but it MUST be a stock-based ROM too. CM7.2-based ROM's need Bieltv.3's kernel flashed via CWM and CM11 needs a MTD-compatible CWM (6.0.5.3 is the only one that works.)
Downgrade S3 to KitKat from Lollipop
So I installed Ressurection Remix Lollipop rom on my s3 but it' has to much bugs. I want to go back to kitkat. I tried to flash a kitkat rom but it failed and i can't find any instructions on the web. Could someone please help me ? Thanks in advance.
Did you wiped data and cache before installing?
TWRP recovery is the best nowadays.
Wipe Cache/dalvic after installation.
If you used Arter kernel on 5.1.1 based rom, then you should flash stock firmware via odin in order to gain wifi again.
I am using a XT1022 and a custom ROM of Android version of 6.0.1. I want to use a stock ROM right now.
Earlier, i had a stock version of my ROM but the last time i flashed it, my mobile got OTA upgrade. And later i again flashed a custom ROM but now, i could not perform my stock ROM flash. Can anyone tell me how to find the present stock version of my android?
Why do you want to go to stock Rom?They are outdated.
Still if you want stock lollipop then visit this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e/development/rom-stock-motorola-lollipop-rom-t3167111
I started using custom roms with official cm13. then been on many roms. but recently i discovered that i can't flash cm based roms. I tried with official cm14 and resurrection remix 5.8 nougat. the more recent updates. the flashing gets stuck halfway. sometimes it locks bootloader sometimes it doesn't. even on the latest firmwares. I'm currently on Aosp extended by Umang
change twrp if its helps
try with format data first in twrp
Check if the ROMs you flash contain firmware files, or skip flashing firmware after installing ROM.
