Redmi note 4x "mismatching Image and device error" - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

Hi guys....
I am a newbie to root and flash devices, personally I m using Lenovo K3 note but last week I got a mobile "redmi note 4X" to flash global rom in it...
first I have tried MI flash tool to install global rom and it gave the message Mismatching Image and device error" to resolve this issue I tried many tutorials from youtube like removing device checking lines in flash.bak file, when I flashed the rom it it showed the message flashed (only in 2 sec but happens nothing)......
then I installed TWRP recovery in mobile from your forum's thread and then excitedly after installing TWRP, wipe system ,data, cache etc to install images....
but when I installed it gives error and my mobile is bricked now stuck at MI logo only.......
now need your expert approach to come out of that problem, I will be very thankful to your team if you can help me.....
I have unlocked my mobile using mi account.....

"install update.zip signature verfication failed "while flashing twrp

Hi!
I just got my redmi note 2 and found the device full of chinese apps and the battery life was not what I expected. So I want to flash a new rom and a custom recovery. So I tried to flash TWRP 2.5.7 and I Followed these steps:
downloaded TWRP 2.5.7 and renamed it update.zip
Saved it to Internal Memory
Used the updater app, phone automatically went to the recovery mode
started flashing TWRP
but when The process reached 99% a error message read"update.zip signature verification failed"
I did a full wipe and did it all over again.Same error.also tried MI PC suite but it would'nt let me create a backup hence no flashing. So I am at my wits end here folks. Please help!!!!! And being new to MIUI doesn't help either
I am currently running on MIUI 7.0 stable (7.0.8.0)
SOS SOS!!!!!
You can't flash an unsigned zip file with updater/mi recovery.
MiPCSuite can't create Redmi Note 2 backups, it's a bug.
For install twrp recovery install an official developer rom (you can find it on http://en.miui.com). Now you have root access going into Security / Permissions / Root Permissions.
Install flashify, open it. It will say you haven't got root. Go in into Security / Permissions / Root Permissions and enable it.
Now flash the recovery.img file of TWRP with flashify as a Recovery image.

Thank You sir.I will definitely try this. I will let you know if this worked for me.
Also, can the official developer rom be flashed by the updater app? Or some other methods are required?

Try flashing this with twrp first before flashing anything, its gonna disable the dm-verity, also if you're using cm I think flashing the latest SuperSU will brick your phone, but if miui then its probably because of the dm-verity, just flash this first and see if it works

Problem with OTA update

Recently Mi released the 8.1.2.0 update for the redmi note 4. I tried to update it using the updater app at first, but it showed some sort of error. That i should try and download the full rom. I Tired this method a few times, but the error kept on repeating. Next, I tried to update it using fastboot flash, and that resulted in my phone getting stuck at the Mi logo. Please tell me how i can update properly
Use this guide but ignore the bootloader unlocking part unless you want to unlock your bootloader.
Follow it down to step 12.
I find using SP flash tools the easiest method.

Can't flash roms using twrp

(sorry if this isn't the right place to post this, i don't usually ask questions in forums and sorry for my broken english too)
I'm new to this kind of modding and I wanted to try installing the PixelExperience custom rom on my xiaomi redmi 7, i had my bootloader unlocked and i installed the lastest version of the twrp recovery using fastboot, but now i can't flash any custom rom and i keep getting "updater process ended with error : 7"(I tried other custom roms with the same result)
I know this error is to prevent installing wrong roms but i'm 100% sure my phone is a redmi 7
I also tried deleting the first lines at META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script but it didn't work.
