Root and TWRP VS985AA - Verizon LG G3

Hello, XDA. Sorry for the bad English I do not speak this language.
I want to know if anyone can help me with this problem, I have a LG G3 VS985 and I am currently in the MM 4AA version and I want to rootear and install the personalized recovery of my phone I am willing to carry out any method that I recommend.
Thanks for your time.

Why must everyone searching suffer with this deceiving title!!!!!!!!!
A mod should change it.
The answer as best as you'll get is the method of lg flash to down to 35b then some other program to 22something? then 10c.
There is a thread in the vs985 section. I spent a day trying but all the lg exe's listed in that thread did not cooperate at all. Magisk 14 may be an option but thats something i'm currently figuring via trial and 3 days of unsolvable bricks......

I may be incorrect about aa working. That's what I tried with and like I said no go. Build MRA58K

[Q] Looking for a suitable ROM

Hi all.
Despite having bought a phone in China before, I made the same mistake again. You all probably know that Android devices in China usually don't ship with any of the default google apps. I got tired of having to do everything in Chinese, and I question the safety of apps available on Chinese markets, so I thought I'd flash another stock Rom to my phone. I tried flashing a stock ROM from Hong Kong and Taiwan (where they don't censor and google is available, I heard) that I downloaded from Baidu, but they both soft bricked my phone, and I had to find a mainland stock rom to get things working.
Sites like hotfile and mediafire are blocked in mainland China, so I have to use a VPN to download from them. The connection is spotty at best, and I've often had my download fail at 97%. Does anyone know of an ODIN compatible ROM, that includes google play, which has been confirmed as working?
Any help or direct links will be much appreciated.

are you sure it is a I9300?? Maybe this helps: click
the phone you have has nothing to do with the i9300
It's definitely an I9300. It says so in settings, and Kies identified it and upgraded my firmware to 4.2.1. If there's a workaround to install google play that anyone knows of I'd be much obliged. Also my phone isn't a unicom model, I'm using China Mobile.
There's no official 4.2.1 for the i9300, Kies couldn't have upgraded you to that
If you search through the s3 general forum there is a thread for owners of the Chinese variants with plenty of hints and tips on how to get it flashed to decent firmware

I had the same problem. I suppose you trying to install CWM recovery with Varcain's guide. If that's the case the reason is that loki_flash file was made considering JB stock V10A is installed on the device.
So to install Cwm recovery you must do what I did, first downgrade to JB by flashing kdz JB V10A. Then root again (I didn't have to though) and at last install CWM recovery.

Hi,
That's not a root solution, but as I'm looking for informations about conquest phones, I found an update for the conquest S8 on needrom DOT com which brings Android 6 on the S8 normaly.
--I'm not allowed to post direct link, so you'll have to search on needrom...--:crying:
As I don't own a conquest phone yet, I didn't try the update... It's just to let you know.
On the same idea : if anyone know an official website for conquest products, please share

That's way more help than anybody is going to give you. Put down the phone and learn, else you're going to kill the device.
