There are some methods
If you are on in miui
And have super su with xposed
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.devadvance.rootcloak2
Then install rootcloak to hide root
Simply install activate the module reboot and in rootcloak select the app you want to hide root
Clear data of of that app (e.g netflix)
Or install magisk work with both miui and custom rom
In magisk manager magisk hide select the app
Clear the data of app(e.g Netflix) you want to hide root

Google has recently launched the Tez app for India, which supports payments from banks using UPI.
I tried installing it on my OnePlus X, rooted with xposed framework, Oxygen OS. It gives the message -
Tez can't be used on this device.

I tried searching for solutions which generally end up with - Unroot your phone.
I tried RootCloak, doesn't help.
I don't want to unroot my phone, but I want to install this app.. it's getting quite popular among my friends.
So is there any other way to truly hide my root status for installing this app?
Root ur phone using magiskSU and hide root to tez by magisk hide.
Your device have to pass the safety net check for TEZ to work ,install safety net checker from playstore and test
On OOS it should work with Magisk SuHide option activated.
Remove Xposed forever. And would be better never ever use your rooted device for banking activity.
Unrooting or removing Xposed framework does not gives excuse to run Tez app. I have experienced. As your phone has the custom ROM, you cannot use Tez on your device. You have to completely install vendor's Official firmware on your device
i have no issue with magsik
On my OPO running COS 13.1.2, this is how I got it to work:
• Install Tez from PlayStore
•Disable the Xposed module within the Magisk Manager
•Goto Magisk Hide in Magisk Manager and select Tez to hide
•Disable the Xposed framework within the Xposed app
•Reboot phone
•Open Tez
I have found that once I successfully opened Tez and linked my profile and Bank Account, I could re-enable Xposed and still use Tez after rebooting
If the above process doesn't work for you, unroot your phone, and root it again with Magisk Manager, instead of flashing Chainfire's SuperSu
Follow simple steps -
1. Just uninstall xposed framework (No need to remove exposed installer)
2. Register tez / BHIM (dismiss root notifications)
3. Reinstall / update xposed framework.
I was facing issues during registration process only and im not using any third party app to hide root.
Now both are working fine.
Run Tez or any other secured apps on rooted device:-
I had the same problem with my rooted phone and magisk didn't do their part or we can say unsuccessful.
So I tried this and it works...?
Caution:- Follow step-by-step.
1. First download these three apps(in external card):- (Download all in recovery bootable zip )
1(a). SuperSu v2.82 RS3 (Recovery Flashable) :-
1(b). SuHide v1.09 Lite (Recovery Flashable) :-
1(c). SuperSu Config Aroma File v1.00 (Recovery Flashable) :-
2.Now root your device in TWRP mode
2(a). Select supersu config file and install it in "systemless SBIN mode" (modes showed when you start installation) and then leave all the other options default.
2(b). Install SuperSu into twrp boot mode.
2(c). Reboot once into android (or main screen) then again reboot it in recovery mode.
2(d). Install SuHide into twrp boot mode.
3. Reboot your device normally.
4. Open SuHide find the app which you want to use in rooted device and press right button (front of that app) till it changes to slash(/?️) eye or pirated eye.
5. Now use that app.
Note:- Succesfully Tested on MOTO G4 PLUS with given versions (if lastest version does not work use this versions only).

Right now, banking apps get clever and implemented more rigid security(they check this package name com.topjohnwu.magisk) even after you enable magisk hide...
But @topjohnwu, again helped...
if you are facing so, follow these steps:
1. clean flash/dirty flash ROM(works well with it otherwise also working)...
2. install magisk... and again install magisk from magisk app...
3. go to magisk hide and hide only banking apps otherwise magisk hide feature bricks.... please hide only those apps like - gpay(tez), phonepe, paytm and banking apps...
4. Tricky Part - go to magisk->settings -> replace Magisk manager (Replaces Magisk Manager with random package ) and wait till magisk do it... and it'll reboot app...
5. Voila... u did it...
6. for gpay - disable telephony(because using custom ROM) and register...
phonepe and all - normal way...
Source - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77014053&postcount=43
and remember deny root access if the app wants like paytm...
Bro thanks for the info ,it worked
Hi,
Even following this doesn't work with PhonePe, It simply shows white screen after I have put it in magisk hide and repackaged Magisk name. Any other alternatives? Also the 'Check SafetyNet' says the response is invalid when i try to check.

flash magisk using the app again...
happened to me once... i fixed by installing the magisk again...
I just installed the app and it shows that " Launching the app on rooted device is blocked". So I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it again and used magisk hide. Also, I have hide magisk manager already enabled in magisk settings but the app still doesn't budge and somehow still detects root and thus I can't use it. Any solutions ?
I'm on MIUI EU 11.0.6 rooted with magisk 20.4
seshStation 5.1 kernel
Official latest TWRP recovery.

Do you pass safetynet?
There's a magisk hide config module in magisk downloads if you don't.

Yes I'm passing safety net. Both the magisk manager and the check SafetyNet app confirm the same.

You could flash your original boot image and see if it's related with the kernel, just in case.

I was thinking the same. I'll reply with the results. Thanks
You could try renaming the magisk manager.
It worked for me with the McDonald's App.
You can find it in the settings from magisk manager. Give the app a random name like managerxy3 and use magisk hide option, just in case.
Maybe try core mode only, if you only need root and don't use any modules.

I already have that enabled (Hide magisk manager). It's in the OP. I only have busybox by osmosis installed in magisk modules.
I just installed Paytm First Games (Lite? ) and upon launching it asked to Login via OTP/Paytm. I didn't proceed any further. Magisk 20.4,crDroid 6.4.

Yup the lite version on the play store works but not the full version downloadable from their official website
So is there any solution to this??
How the paytmfirstgame (full version) deteck root after renaming magisk , passing safetynet and hiding app from magisk manager. I think magisk is now not a bigshot
Still can't open Paytm First Games even after using Magisk Hide
Any solution?
Facing the same issue. Do we have any solution on how to make the paytmfirstgames app work on rooted device?

Try disabling/ removing the magisk modules and if that doesn't work revert to stock kernel if you're using a custom kernel.

Tried with stock miui Eu kernel but still the same. Disable all modules and still the same. Magisk hide is on. Hide magisk manager is on too. Weird.

Did you hide all the google services from magisk ? Try clearing data of magisk and repeating the process. And btw MIUI EU can pass safetynet without magisk so if you really want safetyney pass you can sacrifice magisk.

Yup, I know miui Eu without magisk can definitely pass safetynet.
And ya, I have hide all related Google services and still same issue.
Just not sure what's triggering it.
But something's funny, when hide magisk manager, it still able to bypass those bank app root check although both still false status.lol
Try downgrading google play service. Run magisk from canary channel. Latest google play breaks cts

Ok. That's surprising. For downgrading, I believe it is related to "uninstall updates", right?
Can disable the update once downgrade?

Update: you are correct. Once uninstalled update, status back to true.
I made few tests.
1. I tried install Edxposed, status became false.
2. In edxposed manager, blacklist Google play services and play store, still false.
3. Install hidden core module under exposed. Status became true but some government app became forced close.
4.I uninstaledl edxposed related stuff and reboot, status still false. I have to clear the data under Google play service to make status back to true.
So, it seems like edxposed is unable to hide properly like magisk does. No choice but have to abandon edxposed.
Hello!
I'm trying to make the eToken app from BCR work, but I can't find a solution.
Right now I am running Magisk 21.4 with Manager 8.0.7 with LineageOS 17.1 I have to specify that I am using an Xiaomi Mi A2.
If anyone has a solution for this, would youmind helping me.
Thank you!
Hey @HellFire_Wolf ,
Just fixed today try and follow below steps.
1.restore magisk manager with original package.
2.disable hide app.
3.reboot.
4.rehide magisk manager.
5.rehide app.
6.reboot.
It works for me now, OnePlus7T Pro
Now I see the comment.
But do you have a custom rom?
Atm I'm using dotOS
No, the stock one, rooted, and Magisk as a SU
Dh magisk hide works to hide the root on a strock android but for etoken to work it says you cant use root, unlock bootloader and use custom roms. So I hide bottloader and magisk, but what about the othwrs
I haven't used custom rom's, so can't help you more.
I sugest to get the RootBeerSample app from playstore then hide root in Magisk, then check what is detected.
Also double check that you hid magisk from system, not only root from apps.
It changes the app package to a random one and hides some specific checks that most apps use to check for Magisk.
Ik about magisk hide but didnt know about the app. I'll try it Thanks!
