Ive got the H860 too, and there are no new updates or security updates. The latest security patch shows April 2016 on my phone and im constantly checking every day for a new update. This is really unfortunate, i feel like i have wasted my money on a phone that will never get updates. I don't know whats wrong with LG, its either the bulk of variants they are releasing or someone isn't getting the importance of updates. While on the other hand my other devices got updated to June security patch since a month back or even more.
yep bro same problem here and h860 it is dual sim internatinal variant i dont know why they dont care about it
My H860 is running V10e SEA version, with security patch being June 1
my h860 v10g-ame-xx april patch ..... ???? wich old v10e or v10g ...
SEA and AME wich region ...
Still no security updates since April 2016 ! H860 dual sim variant !!
Its been so long since i flashed the v20a and i know it needs some bug fixes but lg hasn't released any OTA update yet, has lg abandoned the G5?
I know there is a v20b and v20c but why don't i receive the update OTA ? Is there really any improvement over v20a? But the point is that i want to receive the update normally and don't visit to xda every month to check if there is a new update to download it and flash it via lg up.
Lg updates sucks even with v20a i had to flash it from the lg up , ota never arrived and lg bridge always got me a error.

LG doesn't suck that much.
If you searched, you'd know that you won't obtain OTA updates if you flashed V20A on a phone from a different region (ex: South Africa/UAE,etc).
if you want OTA updates, flash your respective region's Nougat, when the time comes you'll get the OTA.
I have the proper region nugat, the only reason i ask is because I'm to lazy to go back to v10i.
I'll just stay with v20a until lg decides to release an update.
But it's stupid for a v20b/c to exist and not every one to be able to receive it.

gotta live with it
And be happy; Sammy phones get updates even later and less than us.
Guys if any one has H86020a_00_OPEN_ESA_DS_OP_1216.kdz for LGH860 plz send me link
Yes I think LG has abandoned the G5 because G6 is very close before release. V20a mostly will be the last official update the G5 has received and there wont be any more coming.

More will come, i'm sure.
At least the first version of Android O
Hello, any notice on when is it going to be Nougat available on the Lg g5 se?
Or it will never come?
Greetings
I checked the LG Bridge and got a 1.59GB update this morning - was super excited it was going to be 7.0 but after it finished, all it was was camera enhancements (and I think Feb 17 security update - all though it wasn't listed) - a big file and it ends up being a let-down. My LG G5 se remains on 6.0.1 I have to say, LG are pretty useless with updates (especially OTA) - My Moto Z and Sony X both got 7.0 weeks/months ago. BTW i'm in the UK

Hello! Im going to give it a try right now just to see if i have it available to download. I bought this device in the Czech Republic.
May I tell you that last week I called via Skype to LG USA and asked for the status of the update and the operator ( in a very tired way or sound) told me that updates for G5/G5se are now availabe, but it doesn't seem to be right by the moment.
And one last thing, please: Could you tell me the software version you have? Mine is V10a-234-30
Greetings
EDIT: As of 03/05/2017 Lg bridge says that this update is to improve camera functionality before updating
same number but v10b. would take whatever LG say with a pinch of salt, think the G5 has been updated but not the se. I've never received an ota from LG, always through LG bridge

Yeah, you're right. I have now updated the device and it says v10b... besides from that I actually consider that the camera app or the camera itself are the same as in the previous version, didn't see any changes at all except from the android security thing.

Its what i said above
yesterday also get this security patch for 6.0x, but it was much smaller - aprox 450MB(patch itself from 22/02/2017, while security patch from 1/02/2017) - 2 weeks to deploy it to end users, and 3 weeks for build/internal tests.
with such speed I don't expect 7.0 in next month or two
After the last patch via lg bridge i guess the battery now is a little better in terms of active screen time.
But we still lose much in standby mode.
After little research i made ..Guys, i guess no european h840 lg5se models exist yet.. they are all for latino american market?? So we can flash any nougat rom on our devices released in South America ?? Im not sure just my thoughts

You can if you want, one kdz file from mexico has the telcel(carrier) logo, besides from that its ok works fine. The other from turkey was for every unlocked phone out there, it doesnt have fm radio and works as good as the other.
Im going to keep waiting till the year ends. If this phone doesnt get updated, i will manually do it with these kdz files

it's was only one issue with American ROM - it was possible to lost warranty in EU with such firmware.
but since Yesterday(2017/03/09) on LG firmware present EU/UK H84010b_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0222.kdz firmware - it was mention on begin of this topic, so it's possible to return to original region
it's a bit off-topic, but Google Assistant appear on H840 even on Android 6.0 (but only in English language).

I don't use the Verizon variant, rather, a normal LG G5 SE. When I attempt to fetch a software update via LG Bridge, it simply says something along the lines of 'LG Bridge is busy, reconnect'.
I've checked for an update using my phone and there's nothing. What should I do?

I'm getting about 5 hours screen on time on 8.0 using auto brightness indoors and opera mini with ad block and data savings on.
I did turn off sync, wifi, bt, location - only 4G LTE T-Mobile usa.
Disabled many built in apps I don't use - most of Google products, etc.
Always on display is on.
