Yeah, stock recovery over wrote the TWRP while you flashing MIUI via TWRP.
Try putting the recovery.img in the adb folder? Am not familiar with that, since I don't have a PC.

Droidboot Lost! Please help

Hello,
I am using Asus Zenfone 5 T100J. I have rooted my phone and run the TWRP 2.8.7.0 custom recovery in it. The Rom running the phone is Resurrection Remix 5.5.8. Today I tried to flash a custom kernel in my phone and accidentally typed "fastboot flash fastboot boot.img" instead of "fastboot flash boot boot.img" . yea I override the stock fastboot with a kernel! My mistake!!
Now the issue is that I cant access the fastboot. I can switch On the phone, use recovery (thanks to Advanced Reboot) and phone works fine. But cant use adb since there is NO fastboot.
There is no point in pressing Vol Up + Power since the actual fastboot may be corrupted, thanks to myself.
guys please help me get my droidboot back... I cant even sideload using TWRP (Device not detected when sideloading, otherwise device is visible). I badly want droidboot to flash using adb. Kindly help. Thanks in advance..

Stock emui recovery image lost after twrp!!! Fail to get EMUI recovery to life

Hi all,
Im using honor 7 plkl01 5.0.2.
I just install twrp and my stock recovery image is gone and i wish to get it back. So i flashed the b130 stock recovery.img from TWRP.
But it ends up with error 11 (recovery) and error 2(load).
Is there any way i can get my stock emui recovery back to life so that i can update my firmware locally?
Ps, i tried adb to flash but ends up write recovery error and command not allowed. my phone is unlocked by the way.
fastboot devices
[should reply with a device]
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
[with recovery.img in the same folder as adb]
You should try starting with B100 files.
Which rom are you using? Open Multi Tool and flash your currrent rom's stock recovery by following instructions. It's so simple.

Hi,
And yes it's correct, but i help a little more, to get the recovery of B100 download the B100 firmware, then download HuaweiUpdateExtractor to extract the recovery.img, then you've said all ^^
Put the .IMG in the same folder with adb... Flash, it should work, then maybe a hardreset
Good luck
Edit 1 : By the way, i prefer flash the recovery manually

You can't flash a recovery if you are booted into recovery, it's like pinning down a person and asking him to get up.
Okay so to flash a recovery you must be in bootloader mode, to boot into bootloader mode you have to first switch off your device then press Vol DOWN+Power Button once booted into bootloader mode, fire this command to flash recovery:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
The recovery.img file should be in the same folder from where you are executing the command.

Hi, i know you know the way ^^ but you made a little error, to perform the command, it's in fastboot mode ( Vol. DOWN + Power )
Vol UP + Power leads to the recovery
Unless this works too ?

Oh yeah, thanks for noticing, that's my mistake. no it's Vol DOWN + Power only for bootloader.

new to rooting, Why can't I open the TWRP.img file. wants to burn to cd

Hello, I have a H-901 v-10 That I've successfully unlocked the bootloader and am ready to flash TWRP recovery but every time I try to open the file my computer wants to burn it to a cd/disc.
What am I doing wrong?

Stop trying to OPEN the image file. You should be on a command line using the fastboot flash command to flash the .img file directly to the recovery partition. You need to do some more reading because it sounds to me like you haven't yet installed the android developers kit which contains the adb and fastboot commands you will need to communicate with your phone.
Start by doing what you should have tried first...a google search for "How do I install TWRP on my phone?"...the first result is https://www.howtogeek.com/240047/how-to-flash-twrp-recovery-on-your-android-phone/
I've setup adb and fastboot, opened the twrp folder and have opened a command prompt window by typing shift + right click and entered fastboot flashing recovery recovery image then it showed some code on the command prompt but it didn't flash the twrp what do I do

cant boot after "fastboot flash boot twrpfilename.img"

Hey guys.
SGP312 model here, unlocked bootloader.
not sure what i did wrong here - i got to Fastboot mode and the blue light is on, when i run "Fastboot devices" i get the device name.
so i followed the explanation here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...pment/ub-twrp-v3-2-1-xperia-tablet-z-t3735110
and did: "fastboot flash boot twrp-3.2.1-0-pollux_windy.img"
however, now my phone won't boot, and when i type "adb reboot recovery" i get "error: device not found" (even thought "Fastboot devices" gives me a response")
i tried fixing it with Flashtool, and everything works well until i get to "Wait for Flashmode" and im instructed to "unplug, power off, pres vol down, plug in USB cable" - this simply doesn't do anything =X
so.... how do i get out of this? all i want to do is install one of the newer roms from the forum (either Marshmallow or Oreo)
can anyone help me get out of this issue i've gotten myself into?

you flashed recovery to boot. So only recovery exists in boot section.
Of course tablet won't boot afterwards, as there is not kernel.
Download custom rom you want to install, unpack boot.img from roms zip files and flash via "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Afterwards enter recovery and flash custom rom zip, gapps or whatever you need.

I did the same thing knowing the outcome and then successfully flashed Lineage.
For future reference, with the Xperia Tablet z where should I be flashing the recovery if not to boot:
"fastboot flash *What goes here?* twrp-3.x.x-0-pollux_windy.img"

Soft brick while trying to flash TWRP

Hello to all !
In order to install Lineage OS on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, I was trying to flash TWRP as recovery. I was able to run successfully command 'fastboot flash antirbpass dummy.img' to skirt anti rollback, then i execute successfully 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img' command to flash TWRP, but no way to boot on TWRP.
I tried also to run command 'fastboot boot recovery.img' but while booting it stays stucked on MI logo.
While searching for a solution I inconveniently run command 'fastboot flash boot recovery.img', so now I'm in a bootloop on fastboot mode if I press volume down and power button, or MI logo if I start in normal mode.
I still have access to fastboot commands, do you know how I can do to fix it (and maybe a way to install TWRP correctly) ?
And I can not stop my phone, does it exist a command which allows to do this in fastboot or I have to wait for my phone to be without battery ?
Thanks in advance for your help !

I guess you have Redmi note 5 - codename: Whyred (Snapdragon 636 and with dual rear camera) so Redmi 5 plus doesn´t have ARB.
If the next recommendation doesn´t work you will find better guidance in the thread for your specific device https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro so is slightly different.
Flash again your stock boot image , reboot and check that USB debugging is enabled and start again the process:
Put TWRP in your sdcard and a copy with this name in your adb folder into pc, reboot to fastboot and first just boot to TWRP, don´t flash it in fastboot, use code
Code:
fastboot boot TWRP.img
then in TWRP flash TWRP file and flash dummy.img ARB. In the case that your counter is up to 4 here you will find the file to enable again fastboot mode https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/how-to/index-everything-anti-roll-t3816219

I will assume that you have the correct TWRP build for your device (do you have vince, or whyred?).
If you have the correct TWRP, then did you flash magisk or lazyflasher after installing TWRP?
MAAAN
Do like this: once you flashed type
Fastboot boot recoveryname.img
