Leave your reviews / comments about any cases for the Xperia XA1 Ultra
.......
Here's a case from X-Level. Ordered from Aliexpress for around $6 USD. Unfortunately it the package was crushed during shipping, leaving some minor bulging at the sides... It looked really bad on the first day, but after 24 hours, the case returned to (mostly) it's original form.
Comments:
- Very slim fitting, material is quite nice (I don't think it's TPU, it's more of a silicone material that is somewhat matte to the touch)... I have noticed it's a tad bit slippery because of the matte finish.
- Buttons are extremely easy to press, maybe even too easy. I feel like they're even more responsive than without a case which is weird. I've accidentally pressed down the power button and volume button a few times. Camera button doesn't have great responsiveness because it is two-stage, so it's hard to discern whether you are pressing it or holding it.
- Biggest complaint is that it bulges a bit at the top and bottom. I've seen this with other cases for the Xperia XZ, XZ Premium, and XA1. I guess the slab-like design of the phones makes it hard to get a tight, form-fitting look. It's not very noticeable in my photos, but it's definitely an annoyance visually.
- If the case was a little big more snug, specifically I would have given this a much much higher review, as there are aspects I really like about this. I think if this case made out of TPU would be much better fit. 7/10.

Nillkin Nature TPU Case
I just ordered this one as I'm a fan of the Nillkin Nature series.
Will post actual photo once I got it.

Nice! I was *almost* going to buy this, because I like the quality of Nillkin, but I'm not the biggest fan of transparent cases (so I opted for the matte black one you see in the post above). Look forward to seeing what it looks like in person!
Here's the Nillkin hard-shell case. This was the first case I got a few months ago but never posted. If it only covered the top and bottom I would be using it more often.

I love the Nillkin Frosted cases dude! I've got the frosted black for my X and a frosted gold for my XA and they fit beautifully. Might consider the gold one for my XA1U, I would like the white one but I work a dirty job so of course it'll wear more!
Anyone have experience with the love mei cases. I'm a rugged case kind of guy and this seems about our best option but no personal experience with them
I am using this one

It's good match with white.

Last week I ordered this case for $3,48. Received it today and I think it's great! The HD clicks in perfectly and the case itself looks a lot more expensive than it is actually. It has been sewn with brown thread which gives it a little more 'hip' effect. The case has a magnetic lock and it has been finished pretty well, made by synthetic leather.
All buttons and stylus are still available, except for the headphone jacket.
Only thing is that when you are calling with the case on, it looks like you're calling with a very very big clamshell phone

I have bought the Emily Fashion case - they are fantastic - less then £2 delivered from Hong Kong - arrived in 4 days with a free (if a tad crappy) screen protector. I cant fault the case it has a slightly rubberised feel and fits perfectly. I find all the leather case solutions a bit bulky this is much more minimalist whilst still looking good and protecting the sides and bottom of the phone from those annoying chips and scratches
yes i already received the emily case and it is great. Everyone loves the green color :d
Is emily case made from rubber material that attract dust? I have a rubber case. I have to remove and clean the case regularly. Even so, small scratches can be seen on the sides of the HD.
Hi All. Other than the link posted at the start, does anyone know where to get these or what to search for? I was hoping to find a white one. Searched all combo's of Emily Fashion Case and HTC Touch HD and got nowhere except back here!
Cheers
Dez
p.s. anyone looking to buy a white case, DO NOT get a noreve ivory leather case. The white leather one looks white. The white ivory one is a dull grey. Boo. Got a refund tho...
Seen lots of chat about silicon cases and leather pouches on the forum, but had wondered if anyone has tried PDair's Rubberized Hard Case for their TD2 yet?
I stumbled across it while browsing for silicon cases, but wouldn't mind something a bit sturdier. Actually looks like the same mold as used for the crystal case but in rubberized black plastic. And all for equivalent of about £10.50...

Looks exactly like this one I am using:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160344468071
(I am not the seller, this is not advertisement)
Best fitting case I know, best protection, it is a mix of hard case and silicone case
That does look pretty similar. Good to hear the fit is ok...was a little worried it would add a lot more bulk to the phone than a standard silicon case...any thoughts? Also if anyone has clearer pics available...
I tried three silicon cases before, but this one is my favourite.
My Girlfriend has just fitted this to her phone: Rubberized Hard case. (Mine is the phone on the left... yes, she got the same phone as me! )
Only just fitted it tonight but it feels OK and doesn't look too bad, looks like it would provide quite a lot of protection and seems really hard to open!
I'm not the ebay seller (I didn't link to a specific seller but to the search results page) She paid about £3 from Hong Kong.
Good call, have ordered too....worth a try at £3.25!
This case the same as the one mentiones in the first posts here. I can confirm all you said .
Thanks for those photos it looks better than I thought it would... I ordered black, white and red should get the black soon waiting on the other colours then I'll mix and match the cases
Just to add to all those who have ordered, there's one side of the case (on my g/f's its the right) that where the two sides clip together is a space for your fingernail to open the case.
On the other side it does not have this space and makes it really hard to open!
I just received mine today (black) and I have to say I love it so far. It seems to be very secure and it looks pretty nice in my opinion.
lol I got my black one today as well in the post. I like it alot as well. Would have preferred it didnt cover the area over the around front lens bit but thats a minor gripe otherwise it's a great fit and it's got more of a velvet feel to it which is nice! doesn't feel as chubby as it did before with a silicone case on it! Great price as well under £4 on ebay... pdair price is too steep for what it is! now I just await my white and red one
I bought this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260471207242
for $3.50, looks like the from pdair and considering that the price of the one from pdair is $18 this one is a best buy.
Received my different coloured versions of this case and have to say it makes the phone look a lot more eye catching! ... I'm sporting a black front with a white back on the phone at the moment

Has anyone tried this for the Note 3? I bought something very similar in gray translucent color for my Note 2 which fit the job perfectly since I keep my phone in my front right pocket so don't need anything bulky and the design/color turned out nice. Just hoping the charger port is big enough for use with Smart Dock which was a little snug with the Note 2 one. $3.99 with shipping included from Asia.

old thread, but I came across it and figured i'd respond.
I had something just like this for my HTC One.
it was great in how thin it was. Obviously not much for drop protection, but it provided better grip and scratch protection without adding weight/size.
Only issue was that the fit was very tight, and the material is not elastic. As a result, i ended up stretching one of the cutouts slightly, and it never quite sat perfectly. I liked it anyway, and would try one again if i still had the phone. I might try one of these for my GN3.
These cases are superb. I bought several of these just in case I want to swap them out. So far though, I have only swapped it out once because of light scratches from a year of use on my S3. These cases are definitely not for drop protection. Strictly for scratch protection. They are the thinnest available. They are also not grippy. I like it because I personally hate the dust collecting silicone cases. At first I bought the black version for my black note 3, but then i bought the white/clear version of the case and I like the clear case more. The black case hides the silver accent edge of the note 3 while the white one allows that detailing to show. It also doesn't hurt that they're dirt cheap.
I bought one of these and they are super thin. I love that it barely adds bulk. But as windowmaker said, there's no grip what so ever. At least before you had some grip from the battery cover. I decided to trim out the back of mine so I have some grip at the back since the battery cover is now exposed. But still no side grip. Maybe put clear skinomi skin on the sides for better grip. But if you want thin, this is one of the thinnest out there.

I've got one. Not bad but not perfect. The fit wasn't good enough, it always looked like it was coming off on one side. Cutouts very good. Does not protect the screen or the camera in any way. I switched to Ringke Slim since and I think it's better and not much bulkier. But for the money - great buy. And the Note still looks like the Note. And the owner still looks like homo sapiens not some anal-retentive douche who spends a fortune on a lovely and stylish phone just to turn it into some Ninja-Turtle global destruction device
Does anyone have a picture of the note 3 with this case on?

I used to use these style of cases because I wanted absolute minimal size added to the phone while providing basic scratch protection.
Recently I moved to "skins"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeStBNHqCZA
That's a skinomi wood one, and I much prefer it to those cheap 2mm cases. Not does it keep the phone slim, it provides the same type of protection. The cheap ebay cases werent going to provide any type of drop protection anyways.
Let me introduce to you my absolute favorite case, not just for the S8, but for many Smartphones that I have owned over the years. Long before I became a fan of these cases I was in love with the (UAG) Urban Armor Gear cases, that was until they didn't support a new smartphone that I had purchased. Like many of you I went out seeking a case that I liked, often buying a dozen cases or more since they were relatively cheap and easy to return thanks to Amazon, but once I found this gem I knew my search was over.
Supcase is now the first brand I go to for a case whenever I get a new smartphone and I was devastated when they didn't make one for my HTC 10 so I was forced to pay more for a similar product, Incipio's Octane case. The main reasons for me choosing this case over other similar cases are the look and feel, but the price is very nice as well. Compared to other similar cases I find the grip to be perfect and it doesn't grip to your pocket either. It seemingly adds no bulk (probably the thickness of a nickel on both sides and back) and it literally kept me from taking my S8 back and exchanging it for the S8+ due to it feeling too skinny in my hand. With this case on it has a very ergonomic feel and fits perfect!
The buttons are not any more or less responsive than a naked S8 and are easily found... and so is the horrible Bixby button unfortunately lol. This is a hybrid-type case with the edges around the case consisting of a very durable shock-absorbing TPU that is molded to a hard polycarbonate backing. Drop protection is excellent and exceeds military shock standards which comes at no surprise. It has raised edges to protect your screen when placed on a flat surface and the cutouts are sizeable enough to fit any plug you may have.
Overall it's a very good case.
http://a.co/5ldVaTJ (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XHFP7P3)
EDIT: Just to clarify on the thickness because some people say it 'looks' bulky... It only adds roughly 2mm of thickness to the sides. Of course the corners are roughly 4mm, but that's where you want more protection anyway. This is FAR from a bulky case IMO. For those in the states, like myself, 2mm is almost halfway between 1/8th and 1/16 of an inch.

It's not bulky at all. Don't knock it til you try it. As I said in my review it only adds about the thickness of a nickel to the sides. It's only $12.99 on Amazon.
EDIT: I just measured the thickness and it's halfway between 1/8th and 1/16th of an inch or approximately 2mm of thickness that is added to the sides.
This is always what I start with as my go to case also. It may not look the best but the in hand feel and grip is perfect. Wish they had a clear back version.

They do, but the style is different I personally don't mind the frosted back and it's not a fingerprint magnet like the clear cases which would arguably look worse lol. It also does a great job covering up any scuffs and scratches that happen over time... something the clear ones simply can't do.
For all you UK/EU users, the excellent Armourdillo case is now in stock at MobileFun for the OnePlus 5, I really enjoyed this case for my 3T, it provides excellent drop/front protection for your phone at a reasonable price.

Sadly they don't have a large range of colours yet, only black or blue:
Black : http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/olixar-armourdillo-oneplus-5-protective-case-black-p64276.htm
Blue : http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/olixar-armourdillo-oneplus-5-protective-case-blue-p64278.htm
Although at £12.99 and offering similar protection to the Otterbox I would still say that's a great deal. Mine is in the post so I'll add some images when it arrives.
I'm hoping the ridges on the bottom are the same depth as the pop-out stand as pop-out cases usually tend to rock when you try to use the phone on a table. It doesn't look like that's the case though, that's the main thing I would want to change about it.
I'd love to know how they got the phone in silver with a white front, possibly it was a prototype for cases they were given, I would guess this as the ports on the bottom seem to be sealed.
In other news, the Rhinoshield has also just arrived in stock with MobileFun today too:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/rhinoshield-crashguard-oneplus-5-protective-bumper-case-black-p64392.htm
I've ordered that as well so I'll try to leave a small review when it arrives.

So, The Armourdillo has arrived (MobileFun sent an e-mail explaining that the Rhinoshield is delayed ) :
See attached pictures for the Armourdillo (Black) in all it's glory...along with a nice shot of my pentile matrix on my Orzly screen protector, you can see there is adequate protections for the back/sides, there's ample room around the ports, the notification switch is also very accessible.
The phone will rock slightly when it's on it's back and you're using it which I predict will become a bugbear, really don't understand why they can't raise the ridges slightly or make the stand removable, all these types of cases have these oversights.
As you can see there's adequate face protection too, especially when you're using a TGP as I am, there's still clearance with that on too.
Any questions, let me know.

How breakable is the outer part? I had one on my workphone (A5 2016) and one little drop cracked the back. Wasn't pleased one bit but I hope it's got better
Not sure and I don't intend to find out but it seems sturdy enough, the case does add a bit of weight to the phone but with the added protection I don't mind.
Does it stick out a lot, the stand part?

It does a bit, I really wish they'd make that an clip on part or raise the rest of the back to match.
