Has anyone tried both the official OnePlus 5 3D curved screen protector and compare it to the auckly full screen full adhesive screen protector? Does anyone notice any difference between the two?
I tried both and the difference I noticed is that the aukley does not have enough Force to stick to the screen.
This leads to air between the protector and the screen.
The OnePlus does this much better
I am so happy with the official OnePlus 5 screen protector.
I have auckly. It sticks to the screen just fine. I was wondering if the OnePlus screen protector hands over the edge a little
Hello!
I recently bought a OnePlus 5 and decided to give Auckly a chance...
Installing the protector is pretty easy, it fits well but won't stick completely at the edges.
Plus: I'm using a very thin flexible case. It's pushing on the edges and lift the screen protector because he's just too thick.
I'll try another one now...

Anyone suggest a 9H glass screen protector? I have done some research and heard of Halos or foggy screens, covering proximity sensor and others saying if they go to the edges where the screen curves it doesnt lay completely flat causing it to catch on clothing.
Post your suggestions i just got my nexus 6, its a great upgrade over my lg g2.....
Verizon's tempered glass is the best, cut short so no halos

There is an active thread full of information for screen protectors for the N6 here http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/accessories/tempered-glass-screen-protectors-t2922645. No need for another.
So I got two new cases for my S7. Level 5 Incipio performance series case that has a built in screen protector and a level 4 case which is very slightly less thicker but doesn't have a built in protector.
Anyways the level 5 built in protector fits very flush to the screen and responds well but it is VERY fuzzy and takes away from the clarity of the screen.
The Level 4 is very similar to the level 5 but no built in screen protector and is slightly less thick and slightly less lip but still rated for 12 ft fall.
Anyways would it be safe to use the level 4 without tempered glass or a screen protector? Will the screen scratch without a protector or shatter if I dropped it in the parking lot or tile?
Also I did order some tempered glass and a cheap stick on protector. I see what everyone means by halo. The glass protector was a total farce. I never seen a halo that bad on any phone I've had. Now I can see why most are not using tempered glass. I tried the stick on one and it scratches way too easily.
I say 4 with a film protector. Just got the Zagg Curved and will try it later today. I don't have high hopes for it though.

I tried the film protector too. Stuck a bit better but still a pain around the edges and scratched very easily by touching it and I'm not spending big $$$ on one especially with the curved glass.
The S6, Note 4, Note 5 didn't have these problems with screen protectors. The Note4 had a tiny Halo but nothing major. Nothing like the S7 does.

Which film protector did you try?
I have the Spigen Curved crystal and an Armorsuit case friendly sitting here that I have not tried yet. Later tonight I'll try the Zagg curved but have feeling it's going to be a major disappointment. I had the Note 4 & 5 and both had screen protector problems (halos).

My Note 5 had tempered glass and the Halo was very minimal. Nothing like the S7. Yea I saw the curved glass and it doesn't look impressive or that it will work well. Looks like a waste of money. Besides I don't think that would even work with my case because my case is so snug.
I probably will end up going back to the Defender again. It seems every phone I get I end up going back to the Defender after awhile.
So far I've tried 5 different screen protectors and they've all been garbage. I want to try the Zagg one but don't really want to waste 40 bucks on something that's hard to return if it sucks.
Has anyone used it? Does it cover the screen properly?
No, it doesn't. I've got about 0.5 mm of uncovered AMOLED on each side.

Thanks for the replies. Wonder if anyone is going to just make a damn glass screen protector that curves so it fits this screen. I'd spend a decent amount of money on that.

I voiced the same thought in another thread. Seems like that would solve quite a lot of TGSP problems considering more and more phones are being made with 2.5D glass.

Could you possible elaborate on which particular brands of screen protectors you got? You know, for research purposes
No, but I was there when my brother and his SO both put zaggs on their piXeL and they did end up with the slightly exposed screen on either side. Very very poor work by zagg. PeehPs even more troubling was that they each had multiple protectors simply not adhering at the edges, which was frustrating. They went to Verizon to complain and were given free exchanges since the verizon folks said lots of people (of all phone types) had been having these exact issue with the zaggs recently. Definitely not touching them myself.
[2-Pack] Google Pixel Screen Protector, Dmax Armor [Tempered Glass] 0.3mm 9H Hardness, Anti-Scratch, Anti-Fingerprint, Bubble Free, Ultra-clear - Noticeable screen on both sides of a perfectly centered protector.
Pixel intelliGLASS HD The Smarter Galaxy Glass Screen Protector by intelliARMOR To Guard Against Scratches and Drops. HD Clear With Max Touchscreen Accuracy. - Noticeable screen on both sides of a perfectly centered protector.
[2-Pack] Klearlook Google Pixel 9H [Scratch Proof & Ultra Clear] Tempered Glass Screen Protector - This was the closest to covering the whole screen, but still not quite. Might have just stuck with this one if I'd realized the others were gonna be worse. Still would have bugged me though.
Google Pixel Screen Protector, Fosmon 3 Pack [Full Screen Coverage | HD Crystal Clear] TPU Sticky Coating Screen Shield for Google Pixel - This is not a tempered glass protector. Because it's so thin it was impossible to get off it's adhesive covers without touching the sticky side, also impossible to get it down centered and without bubbles because it was too thin. But it did cover the entire screen properly.
Google Pixel Screen Protector (5")[2-Pack], ILLUMI AquaShield Full Coverage Screen Protector for Google Pixel HD Clear Anti-Bubble Film - I bought this one the other day but it has not arrived yet. Figured i'd give the wet apply one a try because I can at least center it and it should cover the whole screen. I'll have to see how it feels though.
I put on a wet-apply protector the other day and am quite happy with it. I went with the Skinomi MatteSkin.
I've used matte protectors before and never stayed with them. I'm finding I really like this one, though. It has a satin kind of look that goes well with the black leather skin and colored "G" logo (Slickwraps).

I haven't tried the zag, but I'm using the SuperShieldz and it's pretty good.
Hi people,
I've Just bought a Redmi note 4 32Gb Version.
I've been searching a lot for a perfect Tempered Glass Protector for Redmi Note 4 but I am confused with all the reviews where users have mentioned the small size glass due to 2.5arc display.
Can anyone here recommend A glass protector that properly fits on note 4 Screen like edge-to-edge , covering all the screen area.?
Regards
Honestly speaking, I never found a good tempered glass. After I tried a few, I came to the conclusion that they are all too thick, have edges where I cut my finger or feel uncomfortable to hold the phone.
That's why I decided that I only use thin plastic film for my phone's and I never had to regret.
From my point of view, the idea of tempered glass on a phone is wrong and does not provide any benefits.
Hi, I initially received 2 different brand standard tempered glass type that hardly came to the edges.
So I ended up buying this full face one from AliExpress.
Redmi Note 4 3D Curved soft Edge Carbon Fiber Full Coverage Sceen Tempered Glass Screen Protector PE Film For xiaomi Redmi Note4
I can't post a link in Q&A so I'll PM you the link.
I tried taking some photos for you but because it covers the whole screen including the 2.5d edge it's not even visible. I'm pretty happy with this one.
Thanx Wilderone
Will post feedback when I get the product

Try this
Thinking of upgrading my oneplus 5T to a oneplus 7T pro.
Is a screen protector applied to the screen at factory as on the 5T?

Yes a plastic screen protector applied at factory but not tempered glass protection
My McLaren (TMobile) did not come with a screen protector on it, not even the plastic type that all my other 1+ devices came preinstalled with. I thought this was odd but some folks around confirmed this device does not come with one preinstalled

You are correct. The T-Mobile version of the OnePlus 7 Pro and the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition do not come with a screen protector pre-installed which I find odd as even the Samsung Galaxy S10/S10+ come with a screen protector ND they have curved screens just like the 7 Pro and 7T Pro. The only OnePlus phones from T-Mobile that had them were the 6T and the 7T.
I have bought one in Middle East area and it has a plastic screen protector.
T-Mobile version definitely did not come pre-installed with one. DO NOT buy the one they sell in the T-Mobile store, it's garbage especially for $50 and they would not let me return it. I'm pretty angry. Tempered glass but it's not full adhesive, you see a line around the edge of the screen and it slides around/lifts extremely easily.
Now I have an iQ Shield one I bought on Amazon.
I was skeptical because it's one of those softer plastic screen protectors that you install with a solution spray and a squeegee, which I've always struggled with.
This one seems to be fine though, and it isn't too tacky like others I've used! Crystal clear, no bubbles, and no haziness even after only a couple hours from install.
T-Mobile mclaren USA. No screen protector. Check my other thread for an awesome one.
I went with the OUNIER tempered glass from Amazon and I'm not happy with it. It's impossible to get the fingerprint scanner to recognize your print and the dot matrix pattern can be seen in all lighting and all angles. I made my decision based on price, won't be buying it again.
Get the Whitestone and call it a day.

yeah mine that I received last week was the same, no screen protector just another way for T-mobile to get a sale with accessories
How do I check if it has factory screen protector? I can't see it and I don't really want to use fingernail to check Is it visible straight away? Anyone have some close-up picture?
@flither I don't have a picture but it was cleary visible that a screen protector was pre-installed (on my 7T Pro McLaren).
With a case it might be a bit more difficult to see the plastic screen protector right away, but if you hold the phone in your hands with no case applied, you should be able to see the edge screen protector/display.
thanks for help @stetre76, I thought it's the phone's design because the screen protector is perfectly applied

Big facts. **** just came off.
What i DID get to replace (with prime delivery) was ailun screen protector. The liquid glass adhesive plus screen protector.
Absolutely recommend. Do follow video instructions. It was kinda confusing. Also to note, when it says 2 minutes uv curing for the sides and edges (for anyone potentially getting this, perhaps similar)
What it MEANS is 2 minutes per side/edge. Learned that the hard way after liquid kept coming out thinking I was done.
