That is an issue with Snapchat and not your device. You would have to contact Snapchat regarding this.

it's simple
use the PRO Mode while taking the photos using your honour 5x
and for the dslr effect of the focused and unfocused areas you can take two minutes of your time taking the photo to this app called AFTER FOCUS ( which you can download from Play Store) , which does a decent job with two layers of focusing
hope it ll help you

quite nice, though a bit soft. That's a problem with a honor 5x anyway, but at $200, who am i to complain?
Can someone with the device answer this question?
My LG V20 sometimes takes ages to launch the camera (sufficient to loose a "decisive moment").

Why wrong forum?
Isnt this the Huawei Mate 10 forum?
Id like to know if the Huawei Mate 10's camera lauch is faster enough.
Ok, so using the camera icon on my Mate 10 - click icon, camera opens, click photo, appear in preview all in 1 second. Couldn't be quicker in my opinion. Hope that helps.
The same on a Mate 9 Pro. With lesser hardware.
Hello guys, the update 8.0.0.162 just appeared on FF
EIS is here guys !!
I will install asap and report back
See the attachement for the Changelog
Unfortunately, the update is not approved for my device yet, so I will wait for another week or two to have it updated on my phone.
Just installed the update using the no check recovery,
EIS is here for 720p and 1080p30fps. It's not available for 1080p60fps or 4k
Here are the screenshots

Is the EIS available for pictures or only for videos?

Ahm.... EIS for pictures does not exist Maybe the EIS option is going to be available for 1080p 60 fps in any of the future updates, but unfortunately we are not going to have EIS for the 4K recording because of the Kirin 970. P20 Pro and Mate 10 Pro are having the same stabilization - 1080p 60fps + EIS with not stabilization at 4K.

Nah, OIS is a hardware feature.
OIS is a hardware feature - it helps for both pictures/videos while the EIS is a software feature and it can only be uses for video.
Did somebody already tested the EIS? What is the quality?

Yup tested and it's about the same as without stabilization. Just a little zoomer due to the traitement of the video.

I am surprised because I was using Honor 8 a few months ago and it has EIS for 1080p (I believe for 1080p 60 fps) and it worked really good. The picture is cropped when the EIS is turned on because this is how the feature actually works. Hopefully, it is going to be improved in the future.

Yes just tested and of course it's working on videos without EIS and working with EIS too
And as you may know there's a better stabilization with Google photos, but you can use the following combo : EIS +Google photos stabilization. Amazing results

Thanks for confirmation I actually asked as it's not working on devices which are not updated, such as mine...
Like I can see Stabalized videos edited by Google... But while saving it gives me "unable to save" error
Did somebody receive the update as OTA, without FF?
Anybody got it to work on MIUI?

Found this on another forum. Works great for me unrooted no twrp. Just installed APK. Much greater detail in photos in my opinion. I don't know why the first picture, is rotated. That was taken with Google Cam the other with the stock camera

Make a folder called "GCam" with a folder called "Configs7" inside that with the profiles in. In your storage space.
Many thanks. I'm using a OnePlus 8, but I assume it makes no difference that the folder is named Configs7..

The "7" is because of the GCam Version
With that latest version and config loaded, NightSight no longer crashes the camera app for me. [emoji106]
İs this version for oneplus 8 ?
So are you guys satisfied with Gcam on the 8 for the most part? Does the ultrawide camera work without issues?
I assume RAW on the Ultrawide is still not working due to Oneplus’ limitations, right? Or has some enterprising Gcam dev found a way to get around that?

I don't really use it. It's stable yes, but the color balance is a long ways off what I was used to when I had gCam on my 3T. It's good to have it as an option, but need to try some different Configs before I'll use it for anything important.
