That looks awesome, but it isn't available in either the Marketplace or the Gameloft stores for the Tab.

That's the reasoning behind the apk download. You can just install it through ADB, no need for a market download.
I guess what I was saying is I would rather pay for it from one of the market places to ensure the developers get their $$$$. Plus I didn't see the APK on that site, so they might have pulled it.

I found a couple of links to it by just Googleing it...
But I agree with Tivo here... It's from GameLoft, means it's a paid app. If you feel the need to steal go for it.
Also with a little searching you'll find out why the apk files were pulled from tablet sites... The Settlers HD is small screen only. No support for Android tablets yet.

When I saw this thread...i literally just went to google and searched "Android civilization game tablet"
It's not on the market. Before you speak can you do research please. And as for the Google search, none of those links work anymore, as I had already stated. I would love to see a RTS game on a tablet as well so I do hope some company decides to make one.
and don't say you don't support piracy when your the one giving out the links and by asking for the APK doesn't mean I plan on pirating it. I would purchase it available if it were available on the market, which it isn't.

Im a big fan of the settlers but i tryed many times install and play without sucess. How can i run on galaxy tab 10.1??
I'm looking for the tablet version of The Weather Network (TWN) - specifically, version 2.0.1.12. Can someone with an N10 download it and provide the APK file? I want to use the Tablet version on my N7 gen 2 but Play store always downloads the phone version even though I am running Tablet UI.

Hi, I'm not the OP but thanks for trying to help. Unfortunately it's not The Weather Channel he/she was asking for but The Weather Network which is based in Canada. Unfortunately they've opted to restrict the tablet version to 8'' and up devices excluding the N7 (despite more than a few complaints on the Play Store).
If by chance you'd be willing to upload TWN, I'd definitely appreciate it. I know the iOS version is available in the US iTunes store so I'm guessing you'd have access?

I am sad to say that the app force closes on Nexus 7. I don't understand why they can't make this compateable on a 7 inch screen. The Weather Network treats the N7 like a phone.... I think I would look pretty stupid holding that thing to my ear.
I went back to an iPad Mini (Retina). As much as I love Android on phones, it's still not the same/better experience on tablets.

To make you feel better im letting you know that i also cannot install the tablet app from playstore but i have a GALAXY NOTE 8 (8 inch tablet) it keeps installing the phone version. I wrote to the dev today but hes on vacation until next week. After finding this thread i was super happy but quickly became mad again because the 2.1 .0.12 apk force closes on launch even on my 8 inch tablet. VERY VERY LAME!

I was able to get it to work using "exposed framework" and "app setting" to set the display as higher resolution. It tricks the tablet version into thinking your tablet is a tablet (lol) but the problem is it still didn't look right. There was many glitches. I think the weather network was designed for 10 tablets :'(
I gave up. Pitty. 1weather is a good app to try.

wow thanks for the tip, i will try "xposed app setting" as i already have this installed but never thought of using it for TWN. My guess is that i will encounter the same problems as you did so ill probably end up giving up on TWN as well. I installed the new app of Weather Channel and Accuweather this morning. I am still testing both, they both look like very good weather apps. I have used 1weather before but uninstalled it cant remember why. Its a shame that TWN doesnt support all tablets.... i hope android become more strict with uploaded apps to the playstore, seems like the tablet world isnt supported by android devs all that much, at least not like apple, its so hard to find good tablet apps on playstore =(

Sorry for quoting you again but I wanted to thank you. The xposed module did the trick it worked perfectly no bugs or glitches. On my Note 8 I put 162 dpi and checked xlarge res everything else is untouched.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for the dev to fix the app the right way.

Just so people know, TWN was updated on ipad with a completely redesigned look. Lets see if the dev gives us some android love. I doubt it.

Could you give me some help? I have a Galaxy Tab3 8.0, which is very similar to the note 8. But I could not get the TWN to launch in tablet mode, using xposed app setting. I followed your instructions - put 162 dpi and checked xlarge res everything else is untouched. It just made everything smaller but still in phone mode.
Perhaps TWN updated their app so the hack doesn't work anymore.
Did you modify anything else, like the tablet's overall DPI setting in build.prop?
Did you download the app from Play store, or side loaded it from another source?

Pity that the newer TWN versions break the hack. Things just never seemed to work out of the box like my iPad mini. Another example of Android users being treated as 2nd class compared to the iOS camp.

Yep I feel you. My review on play store says the same but it isn't the only app acting like this on my 8 inch tablet. On the other hand those same apps are fine on 10 inch tablet so go figure

It has been taken off the ostore. Omate is going to release there own companion mode in the next update. It is expected in the next month. Apparently there have fixed the BT

All the stuff around the Omate is very vague. No idea if there is an official forum or web site, no idea where we get the update etc. Anyone have more info or is everyone in the same boat?

i got the companion working. Dont know exactly where, but you can find the companion for the TS on Google+. The developer is Kurt Huwig.
Must install Truesmart Master app from playstore.
Its working fantastic with my Zopo ZP980 dual sim phone. For both numbers, incoming calls are displayed on the TS and i can accept or cancel the call.
Even SMS is working fine, for both numbers.
Fantastic app, so I have now my standalone TS with the SIM and 3G, and also my companion TS, paired with my smartphone. Very happy about that.....:good::good::good:

I haven't been able to get the Google Play apk so I can't install the Omate side of the app. Is there a CURRENT direct link for the apk? (although I know he's updating this continually).

I believe its the same apk its not a special apk at least i didnt install any special one on the device its the same apk i installed from google play.

I suggest to have a look at "SWapps Link", developed by Cyril Preiss. There is also a thread here parallel...
Cyril made a very fine, well working companion app which allows you to get both call and sms notifications. You can also forward calls tp the watch, it controls your phone s musicplayer and its great.
Once you have installed playstore, the SWapp app is avaible there for free.
I just got my link to Minuum for android wear. The only problem is that I'm at work and of course I don't have my cradle with me, so I'll have to wait till tonight. I tried using adb thru bluetooth but I'm not sure exactly how it works, so I guess it'll have to wait till tonight. So excited...

for now yes, but in the future. answer a sms from your watch without having to chose from a preset. or send that tiny whatsapp message from your watch. theres possibilities with it.
I tried it, got the app to run, but never managed to get the keyboard to pop up.
The only issue is that few/no apps support keyboard entry. I was hoping to test SWApp - that insists on keyboard entry at configuration (but no joy with that either).

It was a conflict with Wear Mini Launcher - some GPU resource issue maybe. On your phone, open wear mini launcher, set 'enable drawer' to off. Obviously this means you can't have the launcher active, but at least it is possible to test, without having to un-install.

you don't need root! Just need to install and activate the apk via adb
I got it to work and works quite well! But there is no place to actually input it like replying to a txt or whatever right?

Here are a few .wgt's I downloaded from the gear store and sideloaded to my gear s due to the fact I do not use a samsung phone.
Some of them will work, some will not.

These are the only free apps I have downloaded. Some work only for the gear 2. I haven't found a way to get around "signature invalid". If you know of a specific app that you would like, let me know and I will try to get the .wgt
I got around the signature issue. I've just registered with Samsung to be a developer and sign the app myself. I'll send the ones I signed when I get home and you can test them. Not sure if it'll work but worth a try

My gear S would be awesome if I could only get milk music to be loaded on device. Sadly it's limited to USA market... Got the apk working on my phone alright but don't have it for watch.

I side loaded the watch faces just like any other app for the gear s. Watch styler will not work. As for receiving sms, I downloaded "notifications for gear S" and had to select google hangouts for my sms handler on the phone. You must select Hangouts in the notifications for gear S app.
