So this is a modified version of the Stock Android theme that themes everything that ZTE's theme engine themes black.
What this themes:
-Settings
-Cell Broadcast Receiver settings
-Calendar
-Clock
-Contacts
-Dialer
-Messaging
-Download Manager
-File Manager
-Gallery
-Music
-Power Manager
-System Update
This is NOT a full fledged black theme. This does NOT theme the System UI and some ZTE apps as those colors are hard coded.
To apply flash in TWRP and if your theme hasn't changed to black, go to Settings<Themes and Wallpapers and apply the black theme.
If the black theme is already applied but nothing has changed choose another theme first and then choose the black theme.
Enjoy your black theme!
Looks promising, can you post some pictures ? Thanks

Sure
It probably doesn't look much but that's the limitations of ZTE's theme engine.
I can't get this to work
Pasted into the correct folder, set correct permission, rebooted but it doesn't show up to be selected in themes and wallpapers

Yes correct permissions on a2017g
I see there's a /themeinfo folder inside media/themes that has all the preview images and descriptions for the stock themes. Perhaps your theme needs these to display in the themes and wallpapers menu?

Oh I think I know what I did wrong. I changed the label value inside the theme from 'Stock Android' to 'Black' but forgot to do it for the default_theme_05_description.xml inside the themeinfo folder therefore the theme label still shows as 'Stock Android' in Settings.
So try setting the theme to 'MiFavor 4.0' and then to 'Stock Android' (which is actually the black theme).

The g variant doesn't have stock android as a theme to select
I got it to work by changing the file name to 04 which overwrites the pink theme. Selecting the pink theme in the menu gets it to work
Nice work on the theme. Thanks

Hey all,
I recently picked up a NC (love it!) and have ported my transparent theme from Dell Streak to the NC. Download transparent.zip, boot into Clockwork and install the zip. Reboot and you are all set! I also included the original.zip in case you do not like the theme or if you brick your NC.
Changes
v2
Added black notification bar with transparency
v1
Changed time/date/notifcation text color to white
Added transparent pulldown menu
Added transparent notification bar
Bugs
- 3rd party launchers (launcher pro, adw) show black bar at top using regular wallpaper. Live wallpaper unaffected. Using stock launcher also unaffected.
- Due to framework changes GMAIL accounts are wiped out and need to be entered again.

If its the customized nookie froyo rom the framework should be same and will work.
Indeed, it works. I had to manualy replace the files in the system folder using ubuntu. Looks great, thanks!

The version it works on is 0.6.8 the current release. I am not sure if it would work on other builds. If there were no framework changes should work fine.

Download the zip, view with winzip etc, open system folder and extract framework-res.apk and services.jar. once extracted use adb to transfer files to /system/framework. Need root. After the transfer completes finish with adb reboot command.
Theres probably multiple ways to do this but the 2 files are whats needed.

These files will not work with the gingerbread framework. This weekend I will load up CM7 and see about adding. Are you looking for just transparent notification bar and pulldown menu?
Could you use this if you flashed a theme already? Will it overwrite the theme or will it add on the transparency in addition to it?

It will overwrite your theme. The hardwork has been done in services.jar to allow transparency. It wouldn't be difficult to port to another theme.

I have a small problem with the font. Anybody else experiencing this?
When I start an app (not one that has already loaded), The title is in Chinese for a split second, and then it goes back to normal when the app has loaded. No other bugs or glitches.
ive managed to change the menu back to stock(Black),hope its better!
Is this for GB or ICS?

Works with stock 2.3.4.
I noticed the lockscreen notifications were the same as the original, and when I went through the APK, i found that you didn't completely change the lockscreen notification images; the new ones were copies, therefore they didn't overwrite the original. You might want to fix that
Other than that, it looks great.

Then just extract it and use root explorer to put the framework-res.apk in system/ folder, change the permissions to rw-r--r-- and then move it to framework folder, for the SystemUI,do the same thing but move it to system/app.
This is only for Legacy Xperia 10.2 build 20131101
This is not Theme Chooser!
Try it on Your own risk!
This patch makes possible to replace gradiented backgrounds with .png image.
You can replase .png images in .zip with Your own.
- install via CWM
Sorry but,
what the purpose of this ??
I mean, why change xml file with png file as it has same result (holo background) ??
And AFAIK it's better to use xml than png because it's smaller in size that affect in performance (faster to load) and good for ram (lite file)
Anyone with me ??

It will work without root but you must have samsung theme store and it will work for 5 minutes as trial version.
If you have theme store then install the theme then apply the theme after that go to settings/applications and search for theme store and disable it or force stop it.after doing this you will have theme permanent without root.
If you want to switch themes again you have to enable theme store.
