We’re really excited to announce that we are releasing our Nougat flavour of Paranoid Android. We have a lot in store - with a mix of both features & improvements.
First & foremost, we have moved our code base to be fully CAF based. This brings many improvements to your device. The key improvement here is that Qualcomm hardware is better tuned on the CAF base and with our additional optimizations we can provide a smooth and fluid user experience that will let you enjoy using your device without any lags.
On first launch you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson who’s teamed up with us again and created several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those of you who don’t know, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work stands itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We have also added several new features and made improvements to the UI of the system that we believe would enhance the overall experience.
Pie
We’ve been working hard on redesigning this key feature of our portfolio and we’re really happy with how it has turned out. The whole design has been reworked and it fits in well with the overall feel of Google’s Material Design. This gives you the opportunity to use more gesture based control for navigating, rather than using the standard Navigation Bar at the bottom of your screen. Expect improvements and additions in the future.
Color Engine
We’re proud to announce our newest feature - Color Engine. Color Engine allows you to seamlessly change the colors of your device to be in Light, Dark (Pixel) and Black modes with a variety of accent colors to choose from. This makes changing the theme of your device really quick without having to install any extra packages on your device.
Pocket Lock
This feature prevents any form of accidental input when your device is in your pocket by disabling input sources. You can simply release Pocket Lock by long pressing the power button as highlighted by the minimal UI incase of any sort of obstruction or dust on the sensors.
Accidental Touch
Accidental Touch is a feature useful for many, especially the gamers out there. It prevents any sort of accidental touch on hardware buttons while the touchscreen is in use. This means you won’t experience any unexpected behaviour while playing games, web browsing or even when attempting to reach your finger out to the edge of that humongous display.
Major features:
- Reworked Pie
- Color engine
- Pocket lock
- Immersive mode
- Buttons customization (including navigation bar)
- On the spot controls (OTS)
Minor features:
- SafetyNet Compatibility
- Battery/Notification LED control
- Recent tasks locking
- Battery icon customization
- Google now page in default launcher
- Accidental touch
- Three finger swipe Screenshot
- Substratum (OMS) support (Color engine will be deactivated if you use Substratum)
- Quick pull down
- Various performance and battery improvements
- Display Burn-in protection (for OLED screens)
- More to explore
Note: Custom kernels are explicitly unsupported and will cause issues
unless they state that they are AOSPA compatible or AOSPA based!

DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Face Unlock will not be added.
Why go for face unlock? Fingerprint and pin should do just fine.
I'll try the rom later today, been looking for one for a while now.
Can't wait to see how this works out.
Alright, so. I've had it installed and setup for like few hours now.
And I can tell, without a doubt...
It's one of the best ROM's I've tried by far. Without a doubt.
Theres alot of ways to customize, alot of things you can change and adjust...
Alot of things you won't even need and it's there.
9.9/10
Only thing I would perhaps add would be a way to change the screen turning off animation and even that isnt a must have to enjoy this thing.
Can only recommend for anyone looking for a stable ROM with alot of customisation options.
Ahh...
Theres possibly an issue with the quick charging.
It won't charge my phone quickly with the base kernel. If I add another kernel, it doesnt have an issue.
Does this ROM have an option to change Recent styles?

FYI : You will not find call recording in any of the Pixel based roms.
For call recording you need to go AOSP based roms.
Secondly, for your dad l, choose a rom which has an option for incremental updates i.e. seemlesly the rom gets updated without any hiccups of going to the recovery or so.
With that all kept in mind and obviously the 'must' recording feature as you asked.
Suggestions : crDroid Latest

thanks a lot brother. but if i skip the call recording feature in the ROm and use the magisk module SKALEX.. one then which ROm would you suggest?
crDroid i used to use many years ago.. after that i thought it became less smooth than others..
also one problem i noticed with AOSP roms and pixel roms is that after a month or so they become laggy.. and not smooth..
its not the case with OOS ROMs surprisingly.. many people dont notice it here because they change the ROMs so often..
ccould you pls suggest..
also have you used OOS port ROM.,. how do you think it compares to pixel and AOSP roms
the other ROM that i liked was Nitrogen ROM

If you prime concern is long term stability over anything,
go with the direct port of pixel 4 rom i.e. it is beast in term of long term usage stability have used it for like more 90 days straight.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/development/rom-pixelrom-poco-f1-t3996197
(Flash Twisted kernel on top of it, to get that amazing battery charging speeds)
No I have not tied OOS, as no significant development or developer is working on those project.
If there are so many roms specifically created and customised for poco F1 are already there, I don't think there is any point in trying 'somehow ported' rom from completely different device is worth of my trying.
Anyways you go ahead n try it, and give your review to me.

I'm afraid FaceUnlock is source side, and you'll have to ask DotOS side to ask it.
The kernel prebuilt is Dream Kernel, check it's commit info for more.

You mean screen recorder, or camera?
The double tap 2 wake is not working for me. And there is a issue in nigh light mode, when quick setting is pulled down, the screen seems darker and is more yellow than normal.

2. You can try disable the Ambient Screen (or always on display, I don't know what it's called in English) in the Display>Lockscreen setting.
I have flashed every single custom rom for redmi 9 and not found one which video recording works.... I even tried axn camera, no dice... I'm back to using miui 12.0.3. I just gotta say if you're the type of person who likes to record videos just be content with your miui.. if you don't mind being unable to then flash away...

Is encryption from Settings > Security working?
Thank you very much for contribution
Okay Google is still not working in this rom :c
Hey, I installed this ROM and there's EVERYTHING included, this ROM is freaking complete thank you !
But, there are two issues that are bothering me, when I slide down the QS Panel, the borders are like, cropped ? And the clock is kinda ugly where it is. Look at the ss.
[It would be better if you could just put the Quick Settings Panel of the previous release on this update]
Can you PLEASE fix this, thank you very much.

Is hotspot working?
First of all, thank you very much for all the effort preparing the rom. It looks really nice after testing it for a pair of days and I have not found major problems.
The most annoying bug I have experienced is that the clock gets delayed. During 24 hours I can observe how the clock skew can increase to several minutes (5 to 10 minutes) and I am forced to sync the clock (rebooting the system seems to perform such operation).
Any idea of what can be causing this issue? I would provide any log you need but I don't know exactly how to debug it properly.
EDIT: I tried different approaches. The "solution" was to disable the automatic syncing from the network. If I set the time manually, there is no discrepancy between the current time and the one shown by the phone. The strange thing is that before flashing with this rom there was no issue with the date and time provided by my operator. I have read that the NetworkTimeUpdateService may be involved in the process. Anyway, if I could receive some guidance I wouldn't have any problem in debugging it or providing further information.

Thanks dude, i Will try it then
I'd like to flash this ROM as I can't stand the MIUI bull****, but I've been using Resurrection Remix on Mi 8 Lite before and no camera app was as good as original MIUI camera app. So, I'd like to ask: does anyone there use ANXCamera and does it work completely, or do you use GCam instead (if so, is it working completely - all sensors, no big shutter lag, no viewfinder lag, no excessive noise...) or do you use another app altogether? Thanks

Nice Update
Thank you very much for contribution
Thank you, much appreciated
Is there is an option to turn on Double tap to wake, no?
Edit: yes, it is.
I have question about " Flash your Device Respective FW From HERE".
My OS MIUI 12.0.6 QJOIDXM, should i flash all v12.0.1 RJOEUXM?
Or directly flashing ppui from twrp on 12.0.6?
Thank you
Edit.
Excellent rom
Hi, a have a lot of time waiting for a good AOSP (since i change my LeMax2 a year ago), now back on tracks i tried this one and run flawlessly.... but i have a question...
where can i change the settings for soft buttons? like back, home and apps? now i see just a line in the bottom
edit: nvm, i found it on accesibility -> system nav
Updated from version 3.5 and it keeps restarting my device. Sometimes I have to do forced restart to make it turn on again.
Everything works fine for me except fast charging. Do anyone else is facing the same issue? If there's some solution, your help would be appreciated.

I thinks they support fast charging, but don't say about it. And as long as you keep your original kernel, fast charge still there, it not affected by Custom ROM (as other on internet say).
Can i flash this on V12.0.1.0.RJOMIXM? or i have to switch to v12.0.1 RJOEUXM?
What's the idle battery usage over night?, because MiUi Redmi Note 9 currently official ROM sucks!
after flash via twrp, my device boot in twrp mode, not system. i try to turn off and turn on but it still boot in twrp. plz help me
Is it possible in future that it will feel a bit more smoother like miui, sorry for this , I don't like MIUI either but none roms feels good to daily drive
Phone bootlooping if flash it on miui 12.0.6/12.0.1 but works on 11.0.5. But phone periodically turns off.

I now used MIUI V12.0.1.0.QJOIDXM (Indonesia ROM that multiple custom ROMs referenced as safe base image) and SHRP_v3.1_stable-Official_merlin.img. Also did you flash the firmware that main post tells you to? I missed it first time and had problems with freezing (black screen, only hard reset helps) and with phone shutting off instead of rebooting. Now it looks like everything works.
Also make sure you have all your data and IMEI and other partitions (refer to Guides for Merlin) in case you lose your IMEI

Yes man you are right its look to good and smooth but there are some bugs you can't take screenshots in notification center and after that you have to restart your device to take screenshots on home page or etc rather then that it look all fine performance is pretty stable and all look good
