Hi guys, I've this awesome Lumia 920, it works fine the first 15 minutes, but suddenly it gets crazy, I tried switching from 3g to 2g, changing touch settings wont work, I have this video to show you whats exactly the problem... When the phone gets crazy it vibrates and is unusable... I cant do nothing with it... locking it sometimes solve the problem, but a reboot is the temporary solution... the last owner told me he replaced the screen, I think the glass only, dont really know... is this the problem? Is there a way to solve this problem??
I have a video with the problem, I cant post links yet, but videos name is Error Lumia 920, user Cristobal Florian... thanks for your time..
This might be a more serious issue - try a facotory reset, if that doesn't help there's a great chance that it's a hardware issue... in that case Nokia Store is your only option...
if latest user make repair by own or other amateur repair, is possible this job not make very well or also Lumia have other hardware problems. unfortunately for you you cant do anything to improve bad behavior except to give Lumia to Nokia repair service

Hi,
I found your video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s28vq-DmAkY
this is obviously digitizer problem since it's simulates touches.
If you have basic electronics skill try to disassemble your 920 and disconnect digitizer cable of course you won't be able to use your phone for anything besides hardware keys, but you will see if the problem is within the digitizer or something more serious. For how to disassemble your 920 check page 15 (touch connector) of Nokia Lumia 920 RM-820_821 L1L2 Service Manual v1.0.pdf or youtube video
I suspect that previous owner purchased cheap replacement digitizer or during assembly something goes wrong because it's very delicate and difficult task to separate digitizer from the IPS display - see this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=or1mcpaVxOU
See in the comments of above video - "Richie Liu 2 weeks ago
Hello LE55ONS. I replaced my digitizer, but now I have a problem of the phone randomly pressing the back button, search button, and home screen button. It does it sporadically. Is there any fix for this? Should I just try redoing the whole process again? Could it be dust under the screen doing this? "
Thanks
Thanks Boril... you really know about this phones... Im gonna do it...
sim problem???
Im doing some trials on my phone, I has that problem only with sim, without the sim and wifi connected it works normally... Im gonna check the screen anyway but the sim seems to be part of the problem...

Hi, i have also this problem on my 920, and i have only changed the touch screen. it works perfectly without sim card, with sim card it goes crazy.
It isnt the first touch that i've changed, i've many hours of experience on other lumia and apple device, maybe a faulty bad quality touchscreen?
i've bought a new one and we will see, have you resolved your problem?
Crazy 920
Hi guys
i have the same problem and it appears as soon as you get a network (if it is on airplane mode it works perfectly normal), after soft resetting it temporally works but as soon as you make a call or receive one it appears again, and it simulates all three buttons (back, home and search), during calls it simulates the home button mainly (the screen shrinks and goes back a lot !!), also it appears as if you changed the network to 2G. I have replaced the screen before once, and it is a black 920 RM-821, HELP PLEASE !!!
Last week got one Lumia 520 with similar problem. But after few hours of trying to find problem (dissembling also) found something stupid and simple: SIM card. I put my SIM card and all problems gone.

Hi all. I have just received an iNew V8... seems to be a great phone. Only thing I'm having trouble with is getting a GPS lock. The phone supports AGPS but not EPO. Sits there forever with 0/12 satellites...
Anyone else with one of these like to share their GPS experience?

The iNew V8 I've played with does not have problems with its GPS. It locks rather quickly. Are you by chance trying to GPS lock while indoors?
I solved the problem. The GPS antenna seems to be the one at lower left when the phone back is off. There is a ribbon extension that passes through to the circuits underneath. I pressed down on that and made sure the ribbon was pushed well into the gap, assuming a connector beneath. Whatever I did cured the problem as it began working well and hasn't missed a beat since.

Inew v8 Help
Please I needing , camera bug, INEW v8
Hello guys, has anyone been able to update their V8+ to Lollipop or Marshmallow. I have tried porting countless times but failed, maybe I was doing something wrong.
Hi there!
I faced a weird problem with my phone.
If it is out of signal for 1 hour (maybe less) then it needs restart,or turn on/off airplane mode in order to gain it again.
The phone is not rooted and it runs on 9.6.25.0
Any ideas if this is an S/W or H/W problem?
Here,in a Greek tech forum, told me that it is an almost common Xiaomi problem.
I'm facing the same problem. Heard that Redmi Note 4x also have the same problem.
Onky 7/10 times it will open through face recognition.
Is there problem wirh my handset or everyone having oppo find x facing same issue
Mine work very well. In the dark, no problem too. Repeat the method to recognize your face...
Never fail before, work perfectly fine even in full dark environment.
I have same problem, I don't know why?
If anyone knows why ?
Initially I was thinking I am facing a software issue - touchscreen (and fingerprint) not working after Android 11 upgrade. I've read pretty much all threads about flashing stable ROMs and I've tried the following 3 with no luck:
European
V12.0.11.0.RFQEUXM
Global
V12.0.13.0.RFQMIXM (the latest , Aug 2021 patch)
V12.0.3.0.RFQMIXM (the 'stable recovery' ROM, which theoretically fixes everybody's touch issues
And I had no luck with either of these 3 - no touchscreen, no fingerprint. I tried fastboot, I tried MiFlash - the ROM gets flashed, but touchscreen does not work.
This is when I started thinking this may be a hardware problem. Also, mind you, the problem did not occur immediately after the Android upgrade, it just happened sporadically overnight.
And here is the interesting bit: when I open the phone and disconnect the the left flex cable (connecting to the SUB PCB) - then the touchscreen works! I saw someone with a similar issue on that video
, where they get the touchscreen to work when disconnecting the SUB flex cable. But that is not a permanent solution. Obviously, I can't keep it disconnected as that means no charging, no audio, no calls...
So I am wondering - could it still be a software/ROM issue? If not, should I be thinking about changing the SUB flex cable? Or the whole bottom PCB? Not sure if something funky is happening with voltages there. Local service center said I needed new touchscreen but I am not trusting their judgement.
Thoughts and anyone with similar issue?
Thanks!
Have you solved this problem?
I am having the same problem.
