Can someone tell me why on CM13 or any CM13 based rom is about 10h left of battery on 100% when on MIUI is about 3 days? People said that SOT is similar on both. (8-10h)
CM13 count it in different way?
Thank's

because battery stats on mobile are basically rubbish. Just gauge it based on your own usage. so many things will vary the stats, network strength, screen brightness, vibration strength etc.
Generally I find the battery lasts longer on debloated miui roms, but YMMV
Too big difference. 10h vs 3 days (72h), no way, need to be something more.

Well both are wild guess, on MIUI it is overestimation by OEM, while on CM it just a guess based on battery capacity and current draw. They'll get more accurate overtime, I'd say you need to use it for at least two weeks with normal usage, they'll be more similiar.

Same here for me.
about 2-3 days with stock miui
then only 10 hours with ResurrectionRemix which have issue with the processor.
I will try CM 12.1 by nahz if it's better or going back to stock rom

Hello gys so I have to go on a trip and require camera to be working, can someone suggest a good nougat ROM, MIUI's battery life is ****ty.
Wait, what? MIUI battery life is ****ty? No way.
I'm getting 8-9hrs SOT on stable MIUI 8.1.4.0.
If you still want to install custom ROM having great battery life, go for RR based on MM. Nougat ones aren't much stable.

No I meant which MIUI rom which gives you this SOT? and with a custom kernel?
I get 10-11h SoT on EU weekly 6.12.22, stock kernel...idle it takes cca. 0.1%/h.

I get max 6.5 hrs on MIUI EU stable rom. I don't know how you are getting 10-11hrs.
Well, you have to turn off few things, like always scanning wifi, only 2.4GHz scanning, set fixed 2G or 3G when I need it...else it constantly switch between 2G and 3G. Vibration off, capacitive keys background light off, animations off in dev. settings, location off, google history location off...
Or you may have faulty battery... I get pretty much same results on all ROMs, except idle usage is lower on miui and I observe also temperature... With normal usage its between 25celsius and max. 32celsius. With Some ROMs I had minimum 30celsius and max 38...this one is like 3-4celsius cooler.
Hello to all
I'm posting here first time. I'm using Poco F1 since march 2018.
But getting too low SOT around 5 hours by keeping mobile data ON during whole day.
Kindly suggest me any best Rom, kernel, or something to increase my phone's battery life.
Currently using MIUI.EU latest build 10.3.6 stable.
Thanks in advance.
Yup same problem here. You could go back to MIUI Oreo 10.0.6.0 i think was the last update before pie. Me too, i'm on mobile data all day and get 1 h SOT per 20% battery drop. Tried all roms, all ports, al miui variants, no success. The only one that worked better was MIUI Oreo, but i couldn't resist on miui, is ugly and bloated anf overcomplicated with usless stuff. So now i'm on Nitrogen OS with Illusion kernel anf get 7 h sot on wifi only anf around 5 h sot on LTE. Not a gamer.

the last oreo for poco f1 is 9.6.25 global stable.....the best rom regarding battery performance.
Try a clean install of stock 10.3.6.0.
My POCO experiences a nice SOT (more than 10hrs) with this build.
I'll try Miui Oreo and Nitrogen after I'll come back..

It might be unaccurate for me to have a test with LTE connection due to the bad signal in my place, but theoretically, mobile data connection shouldn't be a key factor of SOT.

keep in mind that miui oreo doesn't have option for battery percentage. some themes will show you battery percentage in statusbar, but those themes i found them quite ugly and buggy.

Though mobile signal doesn't impact SOT directly, a bad signal will result in the phone continuously searching for a better signal and that will drain the battery, in turn affecting the SOT.

That's right, and that's exactly why I said it might be unaccurate for me to have a test with LTE connection.
During low signal phones gives more power to the antenna to empower the signal which is definitely consuming more power. For example if you leave your phone bear the bed while you are sleeping with your Wi Fi on, but the router is in another room and the Wi Fi signal is weak, during the night this will drain the battery significantly more than being near the router. Same applies for the Data connection, if u are in area with bad signal than your phone is constantly draining more power than comparingly in a region with good reception. May be you should try what will be the results in aeroplane mode so u can detect if the problem is battery related
Hi guys, I'm getting 9h (maybe 10h) SoT currently using WiFi+bluetooth (on and off) and 4G always on. Brightness on auto and location services on for a few apps.
How is your SoT?
I've been using web WhatsApp today which is pretty taxing on phone battery it seems. I was wondering if Android + Gplay services + Android system taking almost 30% battery together is normal, seems a bit much.
Edit: wasn't sure whether I shoulda posted this under Q&A.
normally around 7 hours SOT
Around 7.5-8 hours
I'm using Xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 Stable.
SoT typically around 9 hours, heavy gaming will push it down to 8. On a more streaming-focus day (YouTube + Netflix) it was able to peak at 10 hours.
So I'm thinking than I'm the only one who gets only 4.5h SOT... I'm so unlucky... I delobated it, I disabled autostart, still low SOT... I don't know what to do... I'm on MIUI 11 Android 9...
6-7h over 2 days usage

Is stable enough to be used as a daily driver? Is the signal strength good or bad?I'm now on MIUI 11 11.0.3 android 9 and I can't get more than 4H SOT...

Yes, from 9.10.10 eu rom is perfect, for me.
9 hours of sot without a problem. My problem is idle time. During my sleep time lost 10%.. but looks like almost everybody in Miui 11 based on android 10 is having that.
Hi guys
I wanna find out which ROM has the best battery consumption with a smooth system.
I'm now on
Havoc 4.3 / 2 years old heavy used mi9 256gb transparent edition / some sys apps freezed / some changings in build.prop / automatic brightness with velis autobrightness
SOT 7 hours in a cycle from starting with 90% charged (using smart charge) used to 3% = 87% consumption in 36 hours
It would be good if you post also the base of your phone.

It's useless. You should really test all the ROMs yourself, as our usage differs, our network differs, our ambient temperature differs and so on and they all contribute to battery life or as you expect, SOT.

Hmmm useless?
Ok, I respect your opinion.
In my opinion it's not useless and hopefully for others too, because the main thing is the ROM for overall SOT.
As substantiation the SOT 2 years ago with new phone and Miui factory settings was at the highest value around 3 hours and now I've got 6 hours. Also if I add the ambient temperatures and light and different app using.... the overall SOT now with my old phone is much better as delivered and so the reason is the havoc rom.
It's useless because it can cause misleading conclusion.
There's no such a thing as overall SOT for everybody at least without perfect comparison (i.e. you list all your phone age, apps, settings and usage pattern) with previous ROM you use.
Even if your experience above is true, there's no guarantee it will happen to me as well if I also change ROM. For starters, my MIUI EU ROM ever since I had this phone 1.5 years ago has always been around 5-6 hours SOT. That one alone is already different from you, right? I would be very misled if I think "oh, this person can jump its SOT from 3 hours to 6 by using havoc ROM, so if I follow him I could get 10-12 hours, or at least 8-9 hours". Don't get me wrong, ROM does have influence to battery life, at least if the developer do some low level optimizations, better if at kernel level, but still assuming one person's experience can be reproduced by others, is a no go.
My best experience is with stable xiaomi.eu, 12.0.6 at the moment, and about 20 frozen MIUI and Google apps. I test and use custom roms from time to time, but never had better SOT than with xiaomi.eu and the same package of apps.

H, since I updated from miui 10 to miui 11 and even now that I have miui 12 I have noticed that the battery doesn't last as long as before. I state that since I purchased the phone (July 2019) I have always charged the battery in the best way...
