Problems finding ORG S3 i9305 lte FIRMWARE. - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I uploaded lineageOS and that was OK but when the user wanted to change SIM to another company she found that it was sim locked. She got the codes from EE but they don't work, properly because it is lineage now. So now I am searching for a firmware for a I9305XXUFOA1, no trace of it on the internet, what can I do ?. I found a I9305XXUFOC1 will that do the trick. I am guessing that if I put the ORG firmware back it will bee possible to unlock the phone.
Hope there is anyone out there who can help. Thanks.

Yes, you need to be running a stock dialler in order to enter the unlock code.
The OC1 should work.

Agreed, oc1 will do fine so long as it matches the carrier code. The last 3 digits are version numbers.
The dialer isn't what is needed to sim unlock the phone. You put the sim card in from another carrier and you'll get a prompt for a network code. When selecting the field you get a number pad to enter the code.
The carrier isn't contacted at any point as the code is the decryption key for the simlock in nvdata on the 'nand'.
Not chastising you, just passing on knowledge..
Ps, only stock firmware can interface with the unlock procedures of any device.
Beamed in by telepathy

A stock dialler is required to enter a network unlock code for a Samsung phone. A Samsung phone running a custom non-TW based ROM cannot be used to enter and validate a network unlock code in my experience.

Thanks a lot for your answers, I will go for the I9305XXUFOC1.

No UNFREEZE code?

Hey guys,
My phone was blocked with Orange France. Newly I got my unlock code from Orange by email. I tried it, but I always get "network unlock code unsuccessful" message. Before trying the original unlock code, I had tried 2-3 times another codes. As I understood from some blogs my phone is frozen even it does not show like this.
NOTE: if you get "network lock unsuccessful" it means that the i9100 is actually Phone Frozen (even though it doesnt display it, as i9100 dont display Phone Freeze like other samsung phones do)

I rebooted it, but it did not work still. I searched website of Orange but there is nothing related to this problem. Also they do not supply this kind of codes, instead of this they asked me to go to customer service, but here does not exist Orange service.
When I check with *#7465625#
1. Network lock [ON]
2. Subset lock [OFF]
3. SP lock [OFF]
4. CP lock [OFF]
I requested 3 times unlock code from Orange by thinking that is it really wrong code. But no. Every time I got same unlock code from Orange. And here I can not find any shop for this problems, also after this problem I am not sure to make payment online on some websites which are working only for these issues. When I try this solution:
1. Turn off the Wi-Fi on your phone and then turn device ON without SIM card.
Once it's on go to phone dial screen and DIAL: *7465625*638*# it will bring you to the NETWORK LOCK screen.
- in MCC/MNC field enter code for the service provider your phone is originally from (eg 31026 for T-Mobile USA)
- in CONTROL KEY field enter the UNLOCK code
- hit OK
- you should get a message: LOCK SUCCESSFUL
Power phone down, insert SIM card you want your phone to work with and power on.

Yes, I get same message as LOCK SUCCESSFUL, but still unlock code request unsuccessful. I think I need unfreeze code.

I rooted my phone and downloaded [root] Galaxy S2 SIM Unlock apk. But it could not find also UNFREEZE CODE. I rebooted and tried so many times, it still can not find it.
IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO FIND UNFREEZE CODE ?
If you help me at this issue, I will be pleased.Thank you in advance!

Given Orange have obviously agreed to unlock your phone by giving you an unlock code (which doesn't work), if it were my phone, I wouldn't be trying any apps or any 'tricks' to try and fix this issue. You could easily bork your EFS/IMEI doing so. If it were me, I'd sort it out with Orange because they have no problem with your phone being unlocked. I wouldn't risk borking my phone for the sake of making a few more phone calls/waiting for my carrier to provide a code that does. Not worth it.
I understand from your OP that Orange has given you the run around, but I'd still sort it out with them.

or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1064978 I can not try this solution, because my HW version is 1.4. There is written as "(ONLY for HW Version MP 1.200)"
or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1360174 I also tried this generator but it also can not find unlock code, just asks for patching new nv_data.bin file. However I am frightened to make this replacing due to possibility of getting fake IMEI as it is usual result and another bad results.

network locked

hi guys first time here, i have galaxy s2 i9100 says claro when booting, not sure which country, it has spanish and portugues in the languages ., when i do the test for network lock, all four values say off, when i put my simple mobile Sim card , i swap the screen after starting it says network locked, and a figure of padlock, and a button of dismiss, nothing else no place or option to put unlock code, i press dismiss, and back to use all functions of the phone , but no phone service or network, i realized when i put the simple mobile card it addS gsm on the network options and it gives me t mobile and at&t as options when click any of them it fails to register to any, i gave it to my expert friend , he told me it is hardware locked for too many attempt to unlock it, and he will do software unlock , after three days he told me no way it is permanently locked no way to do it at all?? the phone runs android 2.3.4 model gt-i9100, baseband version i9100uhkg4, kernel version [email protected] #2, BUILD NUMBER GINGERBREAD.UHKG7, MY FRIEND TOLD ME IT CAN ONLY WORK ON ORANGE CARRIER WHICH WE HAVE NONE IN US, I EVEN OBTAINED UNLOCK CODE FOR IT BUT NO PLACE OR OPTION TO PUT THAT CODE, PLEASE HELP THANK YOU
You flashed a branded ROM, Claro is a mexican mobile network.
Why don't you go ahead and flash an unbranded ROM?
either way, you're gonna have to deal with the sim lock.
if you have a code, just insert a diffrent carrier on you device and the code screen will pop up when android starts.
here's a few threads that could help you with that matter:

[Q] Network Lock on Galaxy S2 I9100

Hi folks,
I have a pickle of a situation here that I am finding it hard to grasp why this Network Lock continues to plague me.
Seems I cannot manage unlock a Galaxy S2 handset even with the correct IMEI.
Or to understand what exactly is going on here which brief story as follows.
The IMEI number is written on the back of the phone under the battery.
The code *#06# displays IMEI also displays the correct IMEI.
I then go to the Vodafone Site to unlock: https://unlock.vodafone.com.au/voila/handsetunlock/self-service.html?method=selectService
I enter in the correct IMEI number, after I enter the Captcha code and click next, it replies with the Unlock Code for me.
But every time I enter in the Unlock Code that I was given, it returns: Network Unlock request unsuccessful.
I then flash the phone with Odin to a official XSA version, still the same.
I then return to the Voda Rom and its still the same.
Yet, if I use a Voda sim on either Rom it works perfect.
For the life of me, how does one get past this Network sim lock?
Anybody got any ideas to why or how to solve this matter?
Ok folks, seems to be moving in the right direction for sorting this out.
Turns out, a friend of mine put his sim in, and entered in passwords causing the lock out.
Got in touch with Voda on the phone, they said the main account holder of the phone needed to request the reset.
As it turns out, the girl whom I also asked for assistance (who I got the handset from) also got Vod to resend a new reset code.
Will take 4 working days there about, so at least the problem will or should be solved.
Failing that, just going to fully flash it to some updated fancy rom
Cheers~!

Very Specific Question about GT - i9300 (S3). Expert advice please.

Hi all,
I have a UK GT - i 9300 locked to Orange and i have just been signed up to EE.
EE claim the phone is already unlocked.....it isn't. They failed to provide a SIM unlock code, so i went to a third party (computer shop) to get the code. They provided an unlock code, and an unfreeze code. They don't work. It just says "registration code unsuccessful" or something similar when i try to put it in upon booting up the device. The guy at the shop is now at a loose end and is happy to refund the unlock code fee, but says he cannot unlock the phone.
I have tried the codes that start with #1972.... to enter the hidden menus, i actually had to enter #0011# i think....regardless, that didn't work as under network options (or whatever it was called) i have no option to tell the phone to allow other sims.
I mention all of this because please believe me when i tell you there is not a simple solution to unlocking this phone....i have read pages and pages of forum advice and nothing works.
My very specific question is; can i root this network locked GT i9300 (UK version) which is currently running on 4.3....or not? It is the only possible solution i can see to save this phone from becoming a paperweight.
I can promise you that hours upon hours of research has not got me a sensible, definitive answer to this question.
Thanks guys. Much appreciated.
Paul
It doesn't matter if the phone is SIM-unlocked or not when you root it. If i can find a stock ROM for the i9300, or if it is 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 with the old bootloader, it is unlockable for free. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help-i9305/guide-sim-unlock-i9305-t3267901 this is the thread, tell me if you want me to find a stock ROM and i will try to make it zip-flashable.

Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately after nobody responded yesterday i decided to flash the phone back to an Orange UK version of 4.0.4 and see if the Galaxsim unlock program worked from there. It has now given my phone the generic IMEI number 004999010640000 and Galasim is just saying "UNABLE TO READ NV DATA"
I've tried the method of changing the nv data bin files, and it doesn't work.
I have no backup of my original efs folder.
The bottom line here is that i have been going round in circles with this pile of sh1t service from Orange and EE, and codes that don't work for over a month now. I mean no offence by asking this bluntly, but can someone just give me a simple yes or no answer as to whether i need to buy a new phone or not?
It seems everyone has a theory on how to unlock this phone, and none of those theories actually work.
Currently phone is sat on
Android version - 4.0.4,
Product code - GT-I9300RWDORA
Original Product Code - ORA
IMEI NUMBER - 004999010640000/01
Sim Operator - EE(23433)
Registered Operator - @[email protected]
OS version - 4.0.4 (15)
Baseband - i9300BVLE4
Bootloader - I9300XXUGNB5
Patform - exynos4
LOCKED TO ORANGE.
Some simple instructions on how to fix this, or an honest answer as to if it is even possible would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks
