Hi,
on my OP3 I have a max iso 3200, but on the note 4x I have a iso 775 on all camera apps!
How can I increase the iso to 3200??
Thanks
What are you using to check the max ISO of the camera?
Cinema 4K is max 775iso.
Manual Camera is max 775iso.
I did a picture and look on my Windows 10 Pc , and yes MAX is 775 ISO!!
If I filming the iso is more less than I do a picture...
I am the only one with this problem????
Can you please upload some screenshots that shows it only goes to 775 ISO?
here you have it. CINEMA 4K (manual max iso)
Why would you want to go beyond 775 ISO? 775 ISO seems too bright, what would you use photos/videos beyond 775 ISO for? Are you spying at night?
I think we need a solution like this (Camera Libs) http://en.miui.com/thread-207948-1-1.html for the note 4x
@edit: blackbrickster are you a spammer? no solution?!
ISO 775 is in no way dark. And please don't be a spoiled brat thinking that everyone who will reply will give an instant solution.
I'm trying to figure out the problem with having a maximum ISO of 775. The Galaxy S7's camera's manual ISO only goes up to 800, so again, I am asking what in the world would you use a camera with an ISO of more than what is needed? Another point, you're comparing the camera of a $140-$180 phone to a $350-$400 phone. Are you expecting a DSLR quality camera from our phone?
I'm really trying not to be rude, just answer my question: What would you use an ISO of more than 775 for?

My Lumia 800 is fully updated and has been very well looked after but the camera quality is terrible. My photos come out dark and in places greeny and just generally poor-looking. The Windows Phone twitter account posting a link to a website which gave great tips about ISOs and other things which greatly increased camera quality but I accidently reset the settings and am back to poor photos, does anyone have the link or tips of their own? Thanks in advance

I personally have the following settings for the camera and I think it works pretty ok.
White Balance: Auto
Exposure Value: -0.5
ISO: 200
Effects: Normal
Contrasts: Normal / low
Saturation: Normal
Focus Mode: Macro
Resolution: 7MP
Flicker Reduction: 50Hz
and Flash turned off

Thanks for sharing.
Anyway, are you sure about your focus settings: Macro? Unless you are shooting at less than one feet distance it should be in Normal.

Exactly what i was thinking because i used it with MACRO focus mode at a distance the images where blur when zoomed and checked and as i can c all his snaps are mostly the ones at short distances so for him Macro setting worked fine.
i customized it with 8mp with just ISO valued at 200, exposure:0 & meter mode to Center and still getting good quality images
Thanks for the tips guys, will try them on my Lumia.
On thing though, I have had 3 lumias so far, first one in December 2011 and had the usual pink hue. Then like a month ago I had another one, this time with the greenish tint so I sold it.
Yesterday I've got one with the Orange UK payg offer and this one takes excellent photos. Could it be Nokia used different camera modules, some with more quality than others?

Hello everyone, I have an LG G5 running Android N. before when ever I try to shoot in lowlight it usually brighter and you can see the picture. But now it's very dark and you can't make use of it. I try manual mode and try to focus and it show me that ISO 400. I borrow my friend G5 and try to shoot in low light and it's brighter with iso 1600+. My question is that is my g5 got camera problem or camera app problem?? Anyone got the same problem on Android N? My friend phone is still running M.
Can someone test this out? Snapdragon can record 4k 60 in pro mode with a set ISO and any shutter above 1/60 but if you drop the shutter below 60 it will go to 30fps. That makes sense and is reasonable. However on my Exynos S9 I cant get it to record 4k 60 at all if I have a set ISO and shutter speed. I can have any shutter speed and no matter what it records 30fps. In auto mode it records 4k 60 fine. Anyone else seeing this?
Can someone please test this for me? IDK if its just my phone or if its a common thing.
I talked to Samsung international and they confirmed the exynos S9 and S9+ cannot do 4k 60 in pro mode. They say its a limitation of the CPU. Well thats great. Exynos is supposed to be super great right? I dont know how much I believe them so if anyone else with an exynos wants to test and confirm this limitation please let me know.
After investigating a bit, I've seen that, when using the miui camera's auto, the phone does not take photos at slower speeds than 1 / 13s, and instead of shooting at 1 / 10s or more exposure, opts to pull ISO, reaching up to 102400, which makes grains like big fists.
All this generates horrible photos at night when the phone could take much better pictures.
In theory, the reason why it does not exceed 1 / 13s is because otherwise the photos would be blurry, but the optical stabilizer that has works well enough to be able to shoot photos up to 1s of exposure without the photo being trepidated or blurry (if you have a good pulse). This allows to lower the ISO to 800,1600 or 3200, which are much more normal figures.
If anyone knows how to develop apps and that, you could easily make a camera app much better than the one that currently exists. I do not know if in 4pda or in the forums of miui there will have been talk about this. The more people who know it, the greater the likelihood of solving this.
Nobody?
Did you try Google Camera?

Yes, I try it, and the same happens. If you take a picture in the darkness, the limit is 1/13s and 102400 ISO
The Note 9s tendency toward much longer exposures to pull in more light makes it very difficult to capture even a little movement without blurring - Anyone who has some tips here?
Ya, I feel ya. Fortunately the Camera app will retain your previously used settings in Pro mode. I have my pro mode set to a higher ISO with a shorter exposure. Tailored to my general indoor lighting. Aside from that you can't do too much else.

I'm doing the same. On my note 8 i had the option to set a pro mode shortcut on my screen and can't seem to do the same on the Note 9. Any idea how to do it?

Care to share those settings? I've never messed around with pro mode.

Generally for indoors I use:
ISO 640
Aperture 1/125 F1.5
If pics are still a little blurry you could max out the ISO at 800, and Aperture at 1/80, but your pics will be noisier.
Keep in mind that these settings are tailored to my indoor lighting and you'll have to play around with it. The general rule of thumb is, the higher the ISO you go, the faster/wider the shutter speed you can get at the cost of noisier photos. The wider the Aperture, the lower your ISO you can set with less noise, but blurrier photos. You just need to find the right balance between the two.
Good luck!
