I often and often checked a network and setting. There is no network and setting fault. While I change my network mode to cdma only, No service sign appears in signal bar. Call sms,2G everything running well and imei also okay but 3G is not woking. Please help me

Busy signal even when not busy!!!

Hi,
I´ve been having a serious issue with my phone.
- I´m not using the phone, people call me and get a busy signal.
- I´ve tried calling my self from a landline and realized this is true.
- I´ve tested calling my home´s landline and got a weird beeping sound and then the call was not completed.
- I´ve rebooted the phone and the issue was fixed, but after a while it reocured.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?
I was just wondering if its a SIM issue (rather than phone). Maybe try a different SIM and see if there's a different result?

- I´ve cleaned the SIM card and the SIM card slot, put it back in and made a couple of teste. I keep getting the busy signal even when the phone is not being used. Now even after I reboot the issue sometimes happens....or if it doesn´t happen it starts happening after the phone goes to sleep.
Could this be the phone´s modem? This is a serious issue.
You can flash a new modem from the modem thread .Or ask for a new sim card .

I got the lastest "Test Mode" firmware from the program "Check Fus Downloader" for you.
Product Code: GT-I9100LKAEPL
Latest firmware: I9100XWKF3/I9100EPLKE4/I9100XXKE7/I9100XWKF3
Is this the correct one??? If so you could try the following if you already have root and CWM Recovery installed;
Type into your phone dialer *#1234# and write download your existing 'Phone' (Modem) version, just incase you wish to reflash that.
[MODEM] Main modem XX versions flashable through CWM
Immediately before flashing, I suggest you take nnote of signal strength; Phone Menu / Settings / About Phone / Status, you can then compare.
Download the closest matching modem and flash through CWM Recovery. The closest I can see is XXKF2.
If you still have no luck, could also try the latest one as well. Be aware for any change in signal strength, quality, not obtaining 3G, H, H= etc.
Hope this helps

[Q] No network detected

I flashed my phone to my region but the network icon has a "stop" sign. How do u full unlock the phone ( I tried checking with *#7465625#) and all 4 items are locked. I have rooted the phone as well but I cannot update it at Google Play just keeps downloading.
Just to add the baseband on the phone is "unknown" is this part of the reason? The versions is 2.3.6 with CSC is 5830OLBKT3.

Emergency calls only (No mobile network)

After flashing new ROM to my device I get 'emergency calls only'. After I tried searching all the threads i get similar solutions which don't work in my case. my imei remains intact and i still don't understand why i can't connect to network.
It started with galaxy S3 i9300 aftet flashing stock ROM from sammobile which fortunately was solved by Ariza Patch.
Now for my GT-S7580 I lost mobile network after flashing cm12.1 by Sandpox and I cant find any app(like Ariza Patch) to restore it. I also tried a stock ROM from Sammobile.com but i still don't have network. I tried post on the related threads but my problem is not solved yet.
I tried all these solutions but none seems to work:
-searching mannually
-turning radio OFF and ON again.
-switching phone off, removing battery and SIM card and on again.
-turning flight mode on and off
Please help on any way to get my network working. My Carrier is Safaricom Kenya

no-sim problem

So my sgs3 had stock & rooted 4.3 on it. I've decided to "upgrade" it and give it some MM love with cm13. Unfortunately just after first boot during setup it says there is no sim... Also, modem and IMEI was unknown.
I have flashed stock param and got back modem and IMEI info but phone still says no sim...
In mobile network settings in prefered network type it says "Invalid Network Mode (-1). Ignore" <- what does it mean?
I tried flashing latest stock via odin but after waiting over one hour for 1st boot I gave up...
Can anyone help me?

Investigating repair of Emergency Only issue on Galaxy S6 Edge

Hi all!
I bought an S6 Edge second hand and after flashing a stock ROM, I had the "emergency only" calls issue, I tried everything I could find in the forums to no avail and I ended up taking it to a repair service. I did not think they could fix it but they did and I would like to know what they did to it in order to prevent it from happening again and to know if I can leave it as default (not custom OS) so that it can upgrade.
State of phone when bought:
So, the phone was working well with all carriers (from Colombia). The only thing I was able to notice after I bought it was that it was still on Marshmallow (6.0.1) with carrier branded stuff. It was in perfect shape otherwise.
So I downloaded a stock ROM and installed it using Odin. After this the phone would not let me make calls as it was not registering on the network. It did not even let me make emergency calls despite getting full bars of signal and being able to recognise the list of carriers when attempting to manually connect to them.
Important: The ROM downloaded was for the right version of the phone which was the G925i and the IMEI, serial number and baseband were not altered from the original. Also, I checked the phone to see if it was reported as lost/stolen and it was not (of this I'm sure because in Colombia you can consult a centralised database on any carrier's webpage). Also.. Here in Colombia it is illegal for carriers to lock phones.
Steps I took to fix it:
Downloaded ROMs for all carriers, branded and unbranded, I even installed one from Trinidad and Tobago and a LATAM one.
I performed all the tricks to disable and enable flight mode, location services, try con connect manually to the networks, changing to GSM only, GMS/CDMA, international roaming, etc.
I also extracted modem.bin from an earlier version and flashed the modem.bin with Odin (6.0.1 moden on 7.0, 5.1.1 moden on 6.0.1 and 5.1.1 moden on 7.0). All modems flashed correctly and the issue remained exactly the same.
So I finally gave up.. I installed the latest stock ROM which was an unbranded Nougat (7.0) version and took it to a repair service and they fixed it in a couple hours.
What I noticed after the phone was "repaired":
- The phone was rooted, SuperSu was installed, no other root app was installed.
- On SuperSu, there are entries for ADB shell (they all say Superuser command contents have not been logged for this entry) in a two minute timespan.
- The android version was downgraded to 6.0.1, I was told not to try to update it.
- Developer options was enabled with USB debugging turned on.
- The boot option (the one where you can wipe data and cache partition) was left as original (not the TWRP one).
- The ROM used to downgrade was the same I had before but only downgraded the version.
I suspect this same procedure was performed before on the phone but it had the original ROM carrier branded so it seems as if they installed a custom ROM, rooted it, connected with pc and performed some command line stuff to fix it, then cleaned the bootloader to a stock one.
The questions:
Any ideas what did the repairman do to fix the phone? Also, would it be safe to make a full backup with TWRP and flash again a stock ROM upgraded to 7.0 and then flash the backed up modem to get it working? Or would that possibly screw up the repair?
Thank you all in advance for any help. I'm sure there are lots of people out there experiencing the same "emergency only" issue I had but there does not seem to be a fix around, but clearly there is one! So I hope this sheds some light into what could possibly happen.
