I just received my tmo v30..No headphones in the box I thought I read that US models came with headphones? Am I missing something?

To see if it's unlocked, sorry to drag the thread off topic. you could follow the instructions in this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-t3488878 and then try to run a fastboot command
Looks like T-Mo VZW, and ATT do not come with the headphones

In U.S. apparently only with the V30+.
I wonder what changed. Early articles said they'd include B&O Play headphones, and the V30 had a B&O logo on the back. The articles are still there, if you want to search.

UK costs 1040USD to buy outight.

No, mine has no carrier branding on the phone physically. Just LG logo and V30 on the back.
The same thing happened on the V20...U.S. versions do not include headphones and are not B&O branded and without their audio processing.
I do have the B&O headphones that was offered for free from my V20, so I'm good there.
I prefer to use my higher end headphones with the HiFi Quad DAC anyway...

I have a 17" HP laptop with B&O stereo speakers. Bought at Best Buy, so at least they tried. I wasn't that familiar with the brand but a professional musician friend of mine was impressed. "Wow. Really?"

Yes, they make really impressive speaker systems. Not sure why the US never sees the B&O branding on LG phones though. This has been an ongoing trend.

You mean the earbuds, right? Yes, they have a mic which you can click to stop, start and fast forward music. I find the button hard to use to fast forward, but they work in general.

For me this sounds like it's not new. Looks more like a refurbished one that has gone through quality control to assure it's like new.

That's what I'm thinking. I contacted the seller and we're going to sort this out.
At this point, it doesnt even matter right now because the phone won't turn on anyway Spent eight hours yesterday doing every trick/button combination possible.
I'll take it to the Microsoft store to see if they can do something.

Try a Nokia store, or you can arrange a repair if your phone has a warranty (which it should have). Check Nokia care online.

Unfortunately, the U.S. doesn't have Nokia stores. I went to the Microsoft store and they weren't able to do anything.
I've contacted both Nokia and the Amazon seller. We'll have to see how this works out. I waited all of my spring break for a phone that won't turn on!
At least I'm still very satisfied with how well it's built. It's like an Alfa Romeo. Won't work, but take one look at it and all the negatives will be forgotten.
Meanwhile, I'll live with my HD2.

Of course, I'm waiting for Alfa to make its return to the U.S.
I tried doing a search, and this popped up:
"Device was not designed for the US market:
We do not have the capability to repair devices that were not designed for the US market. Please check the warranty information that was included with your device and/or please contact your point of purchase. If you purchased the device in the US and you determine that your device came with a US warranty, please contact Nokia Customer Care at 1-888-665-4228 for information. The Lumia 800 is sold in the U.S. at Microsoft Stores, but it only comes in a bundle with speakers and headphones for $800 (about £500). Amazon sells the international unlocked version for $550. As far as I know, they're the same version, except Microsoft won't sell the phone separately.

My software version ends in NJ7, and interestingly, my IMEI SV shows '02' whereas yours shows '01' - so no, I don't think you are running the latest software version if yours is a North American Gear S. If you can't prompt an update via Gear Manager, try connecting it via your computer to Samsung Kies.
For what it's worth, especially with the advent of blacklisting, I wouldn't buy any mobile product off Kijiji unless the seller could produce an original receipt and show his account was in good standing...all of which is more trouble than it's worth...

NO idea which one you have but I know the white Gear S is exclusive to BestBuy here in the states also the firmware ending in NIE was what was on my Gear S however you may still have a demo or knockoff

It occurs to me that if this Gear S did come from the States, it's more than likely carrier-locked (to a U.S. carrier) - unlike the Gear S which are being sold here, all of which are being sold unlocked.
not sure, but i doubt its from the us.. update went to the watch today. everything started to work. i called rogers for a sim. i'll let you guys know when it gets here.

i signed up for a 5$ a month data tier plan.. it assigns a number and the guy at rogers said it will get text.. but unsure if voice will work.
i'm under no contract so i have nothing to lose to try and all to gain.

When you say water marks on the face, you mean the numbers?
I suspect they're indicative of it being an engineering sample or some other sort of pre-production unit.
thats one of the international variants R750W, there are a few out there. so far as the watermarks, definitely looks like a demo build.

The Gear Ss being sold here in Canada (at least the one I got from Best Buy) are R750W. Only sold unlocked too, BTW, and currently on sale at best Buy for $350 CAD, or about $300 USD.

Anyone know where the Galaxy s9+ SMG965 F/ds comes from? I bought it off eBay from a verified seller because they had a pretty good deal and everything on it seems to be functioning but there's no OEM unlock button at all and it just seems fake the charger that came with it was super bulky and had 3 prongs and the bottom one was plastic for some reason

start with dialing *#1234#. this should tell you model and what CSC is on it
put the phone on download mode, it should tell you on that screen the model, I believe I heard that is difficult to fake that boot screen
Forgot to mention, connect the phone to to your pc through smart switch, If it is a fake it should pick it up
That adapter plug sounds like a European plug or maybe the Chinese plug. If you watch the YouTube video unboxing from Maxx Lee I bet it's the same one he has.

Just read on bay that the model does not support any cdma bands at all, Verizon sprint etc. also said it comes with an int charger but a usa adapter should have been included. stated it is factory unlocked.

Should work on any gsm network i would think

Yeah I'll try it, I just plugged it into my computer and it came up as a S9+ but when it got delivered to my house there was no shipping label or anything on it it was just a taped up box xD that's another reason why I thought it was sketchy but at any rate do you know if the 965F can be rooted? Ik it has to be an exynos but is there a setting I can check for that? I looked in about phone and didn't see it but I also checked for OEM unlock in the developer settings and it didn't exist so I might just be overlooking them lol

I imagine it should be able to it is an exynos version. I have the locked up Verizon version so I am not much help.
International version only work on GSM . Sprint, Verizon are CDMA. If you want one that work on both, you need the U.S. unlocked version. SM-G965u1, snapdragon chip.

Easy to buy, samsung canada will of course not provide warranty coverage for non Canadian devices. I don't worry about it though, never gave a damn about warranty on any device ive ever had.

so question, since it will not work on the sprint network and i bought it on ebay while they had that sale on it, what can i do with it? i called sprints customer service and they said to bring it into a store and theyll be able to just swap it out after they test it again and confirm it wont work but when i called a store at my local mall they told me sprint most likely wont swap it out because it has no use to them since its the international version and will not work on their network and if i brought it in theyd still charge me $30 for a new sim card to test it out, can you not just swap sim cards anymore? and the customer service person said they made a note on my account and the store representative told me that a corporate store (a real one) might be able to help me more but he doubts it, am i stuck with this useless phone? and if they do allow me to turn it in will the BL be locked on the new one? any and all advice is appreciated im really in a jam with this one lol

I'm pretty sure via flashing with LGUp you can do that. Its a dangerous game though. It can brick if you aren't safe

You can on the demo models everyone's buying off ebay. There's been mixed information about if you can or can't with regular carrier devices. Generally though it seems like you can't

Just use usa sprint SIM card it will let lg wing restart and convert it to unbranded
