Push notifications not working on most of the apps? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

Hello guys. As the title says, I have some problems with my Redmi Note 4 MTK. This didn't start recently, it just started some time ago and I wasn't bothered by it that much. But now it's kinda bugging me. Almost no apps display my push notifications until I open them. Only Messenger and Viber work, but they too are late (someone writes at 11:14, I get the message at 11:35 or something). Facebook, gMail, ebay etc. I have to open to get my notifications. I tried disabling all battery saver and optimization stuff, locking the apps in recent apps so they don't close, and reinstalling the apps with no success. Is there any fix for this and has anyone had a similar problem before?
I hope I get it fixed because it's really annoying and the apps become basically useless.

Go to security app and to autostart feature
Then tick your important apps

I think it has something related to battery optimizations. I'm running RR ROM on my phone and had the same problem. I went to the app optimization under battery settings and disabled the optimization for all my messaging apps.
After that, notifications works just fine. Did you already tried that?

Are you using a memory / cache cleaner? They remove apps from memory requiring them to be restarted by opening app again?

Do yourself a favour and just completely freeze/delete the Whetstone package. It's a "memory optimizer" and zram manager, without it you will get more srock-like memory management.
The stock MIUI apps might be a bit slower to load without it but you'll get benefits across the board elsewhere.
And with Whetstone gone, set zRAM manually (e.g. with Kernel Adiutor) to 50% of total RAM, so 1GB if you have 2GB device. Yes, seriously. The Helio X20 can handle it very well. (If you're in Snapdragon then ignore this, that SoC probably can't handle it - or just experiment yourself).

Thanks for the tip man, I already tried it and still not working. I've tried all kinds of different roms, no success...
