Hi Everyone,
Please excuse me if this question has been addressed, I've searched as best I can and haven't found anything specific.
I replaced the digitizer and now the touches are registering slightly above where my finger makes contact. I've read that pressing the vol + and pwr buttons triggers a calibration but when I do it nothing happens.
I know the button combination works because I can use them at startup to get to the recovery menu.
Is there a fix for this?
Thank you.

I have a bizarre problem with my HD2, which seems to be hardware based ... kind of....
*Sorry if this ends up being really long*
Basically my Volume up and down buttons have stopped working along with the windows button and "back" button.
However, the "home", "call" and "end call" buttons still work, but not properly.
When the phone boots you can briefly see the windows (not HTCSense) volume indicator pop up just before Sense loads, which didnt used to happen.
Once the phone has loaded up only the call, home and end call buttons do anything, they light up the buttons when pressed, and the "home" button does indeed take you "home" and the "end call" button locks the phone and turns off the screen, however, pressing the "call" button doesnt bring up my call list, I have to use a soft key.
I also cannot bring up the hard reset menu, holding the volume keys and booting doesnt do anything, which is why i think its hardware based???
Another interesting problem is that the "up, down, left, right" soft buttons dont work on the keyboard (since this all started)
I had this issue about 6 months ago, I flashed my phone, to no avail .... but about 6 hours after flashing it, it just started working.
The only think I have tweeked on the phone really is installing CHT as I've been booting to Android for the last couple of months, which now I cant do as it hangs after about 5 seconds of booting.
ANY suggestions would be great.
Same problem here I got the phone from craigslist and same problem as above. Can anyone tell as if is hardware or software related problems and if anyone solve this before ?
Any help will be much appreciated.
Sorry I've only just replied, but I ended up having to send mine to HTC, they ended up replacing the main board (apparently). So definately hardware. Sorry bud.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
I'm running CM7 and up until recently had an intermittent problem with the home/menu/back/Search button not responding. Usually it went away but now it is stuck not responding.
I verified it is a hardware issue by using twrp 2.0 and the buttons dont register there either so i ordered a replacement touch screen.
Hopefully that will fix it but my question is in the mean time is there any kind of app that will put navigation on the screen like a honeycomb tablet?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
For anyone with a similar situation SoftKeys and Button Savior both give onscreen buttons.
I have the same problem, even started a thread here:

Its the digitizer playing up...
Hello to all.
After changing between ROMs the power button on my phone has become unresponsive when trying to lock the screen or switch off the phone.
I installed Spare Parts Plus to set the button to sleep, but it didn't do anything.
The button works when trying to go into recovery, but once in recovery it remains unresponsive though search button works to select items even though the recovery is non touch based.
Can anyone recommend a solution or app I can install to lock the screen?
Thanks.
Help!
The power button on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (PT-7510 WIFI) is stuck in the depressed position. I must have pressed it to many times or pressed it too hard, whatever caused it I'm not sure. It still works if I press it hard enough but I don't expect it to function for very long and I'd like to fix it before it ceases functioning entirely.
Does anybody have any suggestions for how to repair this?
Has anyone ever had this problem?
You could try remapping the power button to a volume button. While the device is booted you can then use the volume button as power button. When the tablet is turned off you would still need the real power button though.
Hi guys,
Recently I discovered that my power button is defective, I need to pull out the button because it keeps to locking the screen and causing random reboots in my Mi 10. I'm already bought the new flex cable buttons to repair, my question is: is there a way to 'disable' that power button or change the power on/lock/unlock screen to volume up or down? Because it would help me alot.
I don't know if is there some low level file that mapping these button inputs.
Any help I would appreciate.
Thanks.
