Stock 4.3 roms will be the best.Because latest roms are not great for battery and stability.

[Q] Best AOKP ROM, battery and stability?

I've been trying alot of ROM's for my Motorola Razr MAXX, and can't live without AOKP's ROM Control.
But i have a GSM phone and not all AOKP ROM's work on my phone.
I'm currently on "STOCK-JB-AOKP-Nov-22-2012-03.12.46-CrackTeam-Umts_Spyder",
and the Stock ROM "SPDREM_U_01.6.7.2-180_SPU-19-TA-11.6_SIGNEuropeAustraliaEMEA_USASPDRICSRTCEE_HWp2b_Service1FF_fastboot.xml.zip".
...
So ICS Stock and JB AOKP custom rom.
But i have major battery issues with it; battery lasts for less than 2 days. Compared to the original ROM which lasted like a week.
Right now i don't care if it's a JB, ICS, GB or whatever; i just want a ROM that's stable, that works and has long battery life.
Anyone reccomendations from the best community on the web?
Guess the best community on the web was busy, and i was left with you.

Benefits of installing CM/AOSP

Hello,
I found similar thread, but last post was almost 2 years ago.
So, I am asking what are actual benefits of installing CM or AOSP rom compared to stock one?
The next thing, are there some major bugs in non-stock roms?
I am not asking which of rom is best or better than another, I just want to know about comparison and benefits.
Stock has the better side for battery but aosp/cm/aokp has no lag.
Go for a stock custom ROM like alliance ROM ect ect..
They have the look of aokp/cm but keep the great battery life.
you can do a lot of customization on AOSP rom......
plus there is some nice new feature you can try out.....
CM is ok for daily use.....

Which is the best alternative to TouchWiz?

Hello everyone,
I've been striving looking for a rom that works fine on the P4 but no luck so far.
I want to get rid once for all of the TouchWiz stockrom which is slow as hell and makes me want to throw the tablet against the wall. I've been flashing CM and few others but they are all quite buggy and made me want to go back to TouchWiz and hence increase my frustration.
Which is in your experience the best alternative to TouchWiz? I need something stable, fast, and that works!
Thanks
Davide
Have you been trying using latest kitkats? It looks like they made to work much smoother then ever before.
Currently there are 3 competitive kitkat roms. I think that nameless is fastest and most stripped out. Though there are some bugs, in my experience most custom roms were smoother and more stable than even ICS stock rom for about half a year

The best rom for my galaxy s3?

Hey, I am searching for the best rom for my galaxy s3, I want android 5.0, I have used a lot of roms but I want good battery life and the most roms doesn't have that. Does anyone know a good rom with good battery life and that is fast and smooth? Thanks for help. or maybe anyone can help me with the battery problem, I have used a lot of tutorials on youtube about it but nothing seems to be working.
Sorry for my bad English btw
Ressurection Remix + Boeffla Kernel CM12 NG

Try BlissPop, this is best room ever
Always keep this in mind:
Stock Samsung ROMs
Pros:
Stable!
Better Camera support
Better Bluetooth, WiFi Direct and AllShare support
Much much more battery friendly than AOSP based ROMs
Cons:
No updates (last Android version 4.3)
Worse performance compared to a "Properly" tweaked AOSP ROM
AOSP ROMs
Pros:
Latest Updates
Responsive and has a great performance (I repeat only on "Properly" tweaked ROMs)
More useful features than stock Samsung based ROMs
Cons
Camera not as good as on stock Samsung based ROMs
Samsung features won't work on AOSP based ROMs
Worse battery
This should give you a general idea on the differences between the two.
There's nothing as a BEST ROM! Every ROM works differently for every user since each user has different uses for the phone.

It is worth changing the device rom?

Hello everyone, I just bought this phone and I wonder if it shows a lot of difference when installing any of the roms that I have seen through this same forum.
The aspects that interest me to know are above all that such is the quality of the cameras in other roms, is there much difference in the battery? And how about the overall performance of the phone?
Finally I would like you to advise me what would be the best rom for this device and if there are links to other posts to root and install twrp (I am currently in stock 10, in case the procedures change)

In my opinion, stock Android is really boring. You can't customize it or tweak it in any way. Evolution X has a better battery backup than stock ROM.
The camera performance in stock Android is fine. You can get even better quality with GCam. But, the oversaturated screen ruins the photography experience.
With evolution X, you can calibrate the screen. You can check out the values I use. ->https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a3/review/color-saturation-accuracy-t3962056/post82758721
In my opinion this greatly improves the overall phone experience.
I waited for a while before i flashed evox bcz I didn't want to miss on the ota updates and official support but those really suck and flashing a new rom is just much better and you don't loose anything really, for me everything works much better than stock rom, battery and performance are much better and the customisation is gold
I really liked the stock ROM, but for me the phone was randomly rebooting on Stock. This happened a few times while I was navigating while driving and it was infruiating so I made the switch. I'm quite happy with crDroid right now, since it has less bloat even than the stock ROM, but if you're not having any issues on stock, I'd suggest to stay on stock because there is a learning curve with flashing custom stuff on every phone, you will have to brick your phone a few times to properly install a custom ROM and that requires time + patience. For me it was worth it, since the phone doesn't randomly reboot anymore.
In my opinion, the best custom rom till now is MIUI 11 with Magisk installed. It's super fast + tons of great features. I'm sure we'll get MIUI 12 also, since its been released for CC9e. Give it a try and you'll love it.
Changing ROM is good, personally I bought this phone because of Stock Android with minimum bloatwares. However with stock Android comes a price of customizations. With a custom ROM, you can achieve all that and still control many features of your phone. I have changed ROM to EvolutionX and it's pretty good ROM which I am using as a daily driver. It got some bugs thought but so does stock Android 10 ROM.
