Hey ,
Last night i was walking in the mall with the phone in my pocket and suddenly i heard a loud fire-alarm like beeping sound ,
I ignored it untill my girlfriend sayed it sounds like its folloing us , than i took out my phone to see if it comes from there and it did , i did not have any apps running or any notifications on the screen , i opend the recent apps and there were nothing abnormal there , all my usual apps ..
The sound were really loud high pitch beeps that wouldnt stop untill i silenced the phone..
What could it be ?
Thanks for the help .
Omer.

This had been bothering me more and more lately so I thought I would ask to see if I am the only one having this problem or if there is a solution.
Ive had my EVO 3D since release and it would randomly beep the notification tone , after a few days I narrowed it down to roaming notification and I took care of that by turning off the notification.
Well ever since than , when I go to sleep I plug my phone in the charger and at some point during the night/morning it will start beeping the notification tone for no reason , it seems like it does it constant every couple minutes for a while and than stops , depending how good I am sleeping depends on if I hear it or not , I think it happens every day but not 100% sure , I know if I ignore it , eventually it stops , but there has been times I've been woken up , got annoyed and unplugged the phone/turned on screen and it stops than.
I've been through all the settings on the phone I think and hadn't seen anything , it seems like its beeping showing that the battery is charged 100% and needs to be taken off the charger maybe ????
Any input would help , my phone is 100% stock no root !
Thanks

Maybe it's hungry and want sth. to eat? =D
..mhh, sounds weird, sure it's not an app or alarm you set?
Download alogcat from market, and when it starts to ring, open alogcat and save the log and post it here.
Maybe we can see then, whats causing this.
Only other suggestion (besides feeding it - lol), I got at the moment is to do a factory reset and look if this issue still persist.

Do you have a battery calibration app installed?

It happen today for first time just one sms notification and I get really surprised when I see is nothing on the screen. And yes I have a battery calibrator. Can it be the reason for this strange case?
Any alternatives?
how to fix lcd .. how much will i get it for ?
My lcd has a black patch on it because i by mistake slept on my phone >.<.
(Also,theres a crack from inside-not the screen!)
Thanks to the one who controls the earth or my life , just a small patch not a big problem , i can still ready everything.
And also , loudspeaker ain't working. The mic is fine , i can hear the caller's voice and he/she can hear mine.(if loudspeaker is turned on while in call , no sound) , fine with headsets on.I can't even play songs on loudspeaker.
Suggestions ?
Topic name*edit)-Broken Screen**
LCD is exspensive (my old phone satio was about 100eur, arc even more...)
so im afraid you will have to use like that..
about loudspeaker you can go to service center.
service centre people said that if they try to repair my speaker...the display might go black >.<

Hey guys!
I'm kinda lost here. I've had my Archos Gamepad with Android 4.1.1 (sorry, forgot to put the device in the title) for a few weeks now. Yesterday I noticed there's no sound coming from it anymore. Since I mostly use it for things that don't require sound I can't really say when was the last time it worked. When I loaded up an N64 game yesterday I first noticed that there was no sound. Luckily, a reboot helped, I played for a few minutes and then put it away. Later that night I picked it up again, sound was gone.
After rebooting and fiddling around with settings about a thousand times, I can now say it will always go like this:
Reboot, unlock, unlocking sound is heard, clicking a few things, sound is fine, then all of a sudden it's gone.
But here's the strange part: When I lock the screen, it will always play that little *click* from the speakers. That one never fails. There's no sound at all no matter what I do, but as soon as I press the power button it goes *click*.
So here's a few facts:
- Sound stops after a few minutes of working, no matter what I do, even after factory reset
- Lock sound always plays
- Headphones do the same, working for a while then stopping, lock sound stays
- of course sound levels are at max, and there's no apps that do anything sound-related
- after connecting it to my laptop today it worked for for a while, longer than usual, but was gone again when I picked it up later
- auto-rotation of the screen also started failing on me from time to time, maybe related?
As a sidenote, a few days ago my washing machine broke, releasing a flood of water on the floor and my Gamepad just so happend to lay there, getting a little water on it. I picked it up right away, dried it off and shut it down. I don't know if that's anything to do with my problem because a) it worked fine when I turned it back on later, b) since the lock sound keeps playing I don't think my sound is broken hardware-wise, and c) I can't tell when sound stopped working because like I said before I don't always need it.
The working lock sound is what really confuses me about this. I just don't know what to make of this.
If anyone has even the slightes idea it will be much appreciated!

As you still have audio with the lock sound it doesn't sound like you broke it totally with the water damage so I recommend contacting Archos for a return/replacement.
Hi,
I was using my old Galaxy s3 to call & txt fiance using viber in states, now that I have sold it to mazuma mobile I have used viber to call her for the first time on my z2 & I could barely hear her at all on the top speaker & had to put phone on speaker phone just to hear her , normal call quality is pretty good on mobile calls, volume was up full. She could barely hear me as well, I turned off noise cancellation in call settings & she could hear me a bit better but said it was still quiet.
Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this?
Cheers.
Have you tried moving the phone around on your ear? Sounds silly, but because of the placement of the speakers, its not as natural as other phones i've used imo (or maybe its how tall the phone is). I found the same issue at first, then i moved the phone around on my ear until the speaker and my ear lined up right and the sound was normal.
Yeah mate, moving the phone around my ear was first thing I tried, I don't have issues with normal calls but speaking to her on viber it's almost like the speaker volume is set really low & I could barely hear her at all, since I call her in the early hours I would rather not have to put the call on speaker phone.

Ah okay. I did a quick google search and it looks like its hit or miss for some devices, so it might be on their end. This thread has a Viber rep responding in it to the same problem, or at least a couple months ago he was(no real solution, other than reporting it).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2307492
Also there's an app suggestion in there that a member says helped, and another one would be master volume (i think thats the name). I don't really use Viber, so i'm not much help other than that.
Cheers again for the reply mate, have checked that thread out & also posted in it hoping they will still be checking it, checked the apps mentioned in play store & most haven't been updated since 2011, I do think the issue is like you say more on Viber's end as the volume was fine on my now sold Galaxy S3.
Might have to check out Line or similar apps & get her to do the same as Viber is almost unusable due to this, connection quality was excellent all through the call so I think Viber just need to update or optimise it for the Z2.
Same problem man, here is a fix that worked for me, note 3 international version:
