Hi there!
My first Xposed module, InstantFaceUnlock unlocks your phone the moment your face scan is successful. Usually, once the face scan is complete, you then have to swipe up on the lock screen in order to access your phone. InstantFaceUnlock detects when the face scan is complete, and will automatically dismiss the lockscreen for you.
Features:
- Automatically unlock your phone after face scan is successful
- Works on Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat and Oreo!
- And Pie (kinda)
- A sexy UI to help you customise
- You can allow notifications to block auto-unlock, and even which *type* of notification
- You can allow music controllers such as the Spotify to block auto-unlock
- Option for your device to vibrate after auto-unlocking, with customisable duration
- Option to add a delay after auto-unlocking
- Easily enable/disable
Update targets:
- Allow only specific apps to block auto-unlock
- That's all I can think of for now - please leave your suggestions below!
(Yes, I've since been informed that GravityBox offers the same functionality. Nonetheless, it's nice to have as a standalone module, in case you don't want gravity box installed).

Hi, sorry to hear that.
As it says in the description, this mod is really only for AOSP, or stock-like ROMs, so I can't guarantee MIUI 8 will be compatible.
Obviously check that you're rooted and that Xposed is installed. I'd also recommend downloading it via the Xposed Module Manager, rather than pushing the APK.
[This is the first failure of the 238 recorded downloads so far, so it's likely something wrong with your device, rather than the APK]
Let me know what happens.
Thanks, working perfect with latest final RR SDK25 Xposed 88.1
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Labs
So, if I got it right, this does require play services right ?
Pretty good module... I noticed a bug. When I play some music and lock the screen, I need to do extra swipe to unlock the screen. Android version 7.1.2 Xposed 88.1 systemless

Hey bro nice work
Using your module on xposed 88.1 SDK 25 (magisk version by topjohnwu) with Google face unlock on viperos 2.1
Working as described.
I was lucky enough to just open the xposed installer download section a few seconds after you uploaded the module lol.
Btw, any plans to make it open source?
If not, any chance you could make a build with an app UI/activity that gives the option to unlock even when there are notifications?
I seriously don't want to install GBox since it's making my system laggy and I'm just too lazy to make a proper bug report xD
Let us know about open source and the option.

I guess it just has the same requirements as Smart Unlock has. If smart unlock requires play services, then you'll certainly need that before even thinking about using my module. All my module needs is Xposed to be installed.

Thanks for the feedback! So originally, I had it so it would auto-unlock regardless of what's on the screen. However, I changed it so that if you have notifications on your lock screen, it won't auto-unlock, in case you want to read them; this is why it's not auto-unlocking when you have music playing. I then tried to make it so that if the notifications were non-dismissable (like music) , then it would force unlock anyway. I had trouble implementing that, but I'm going to give it another go today. I may also add options that will let you pick how aggressively you want the auto-unlock to occur. Keep an eye out for updates!

Hi, thanks for the positive response!
Yes, I will be working on that today, although I'm very new to this so I'll have to learn how to do it first lol.
I will be uploading all the code to GitHub soon, although I'm completely unfamiliar with it.
Look out for updates within the next few days (an optimistic prediction, might be a week or two!).
Working fine here (just some screen random bugs at the first install boot, but idk if it was caused by the module {my screen glass is broken lol}). Resurrection Remix Nougat 7.1 at osprey.
Suggestion: add an user interface to toogle some functions on and off, like: force unlock when have notifications, force unlock when there are just non-dismisseable notifcations e.g. music player, force unlock when screenlock notification hide sensitive content, etc...
Anyway, Thanks for the module

Make sure you disable that vibration option by default and add an option to enable from GUI.
Lots of people have a custom kernel with some vibration related tweaks and you might not want to conflict them.

My apologies, it seems I was only changing the minSDK version in the wrong file. This has now been fixed and will be available in update 1.2, which I'll release in about 10 minutes.

Installation instructions for 8.1 Final ADB method.
1. Download the TulsadiverModsInstaller.zip above. Unzip it on your c:drive on your PC so that it reads like c:\TulsadiverModsInstaller and all the folders just inside it like this but no .zip of course.

Plug your phone into the PC. Run the TulsadiverModsInstaller.bat. First thing you must do is install the Base, selection one. After that you can choose whatever else you want. When done, select reboot. You will be prompted to give adb superuser rights. You need install base just once. It will create a ozopstock restore zip on your sdcard. That will be your stock restore zip. If you ever flash base again that will be replaced so keep that in mind. I don't have this phone but this worked on my Nexus 5X on 8.1 final.
If this doesn't seem to change anything when installed, with root explorer, go to data/local on your phone's root drive, if BusyBox is there make sure it has 755 permission. If it is not there, take it from the installer zip and put it there. Give it 755 permission and try again.

Awesome! That was quick! I'll try it out as soon as I get home from work and report back.
Also JUST realized, I didn't think about it earlier, but I'm currently on the 8.1 developer preview / beta program. Not sure if that will affect the mods or not. If there are any issues, I was already planning on reverting back to 8.0, so I can pull the necessary files again if the current ones cause any issues. Just wanted to make you aware as I just thought about that.
Thanks again for helping make our devices that much better!!

So what were the files you gave me? November update? I had better clarify in this post.
Yes, makes a huge difference.
What are you guys using to navigate the phone w/o navbar? I was using Swipe Navigation app on Nougat but apparently the dev didn't update it to Oreo yet. So I'm looking for alternatives. Thanks

Yeah I figured as much, I'm sorry about that. Didn't even think about it till right before I posted here. I was in another thread talking about reverting back to 8.0 when it dawned on me. The files I gave you are from 8.1 October security patch. Build opp5.170921.005.

I updated a few days ago and it completely slipped my mind, when you agreed to put something together I got over excited and completely forgot about any of that :silly: I'm going to try out your 8.1 packages first to confirm that they work as intended while I'm still on the dev preview and then I'll roll back to 8.0 and send you the files once I get them uploaded.

So just to update, looks like there is a bit of a speed bump. Trying to boot TWRP and was stuck at the splash screen with the logo for 15+ minutes. Checked the TWRP thread and others are reporting that it hasn't been able to boot with the 8.1 preview and that the November security patch breaks it as well.
The factory images Google has are for September, so it looks like September and possibly October are the only viable options at this point. Still going to downgrade to factory images from Sept and will grab those files.
Not sure when updating if it will go straight to November's patch or will do October first? Also, if anyone has had a different outcome other than what has been reported and can successfully boot TWRP on 8.1 or Nov patch please chime in. Wondering if the patched boot.img via Magisk could have anything to do with it failing to boot? I wouldn't think it would, but then again I'm not the most knowledgeable with the technical side of these things.
Is there a video or something showing what this mod does? Im not sure how you get around the phone without a navbar. Just curious. Sounds great but just want to know how this works.

No video. Your NavBar is completely gone. You need to have a replacement in place like this.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150
This navbar remains hidden, I Believe, until you swipe up. Read up on it. I haven't tried it but a whole of people use it.

I use "Unique Controls"
Only use it for a basic pie on the right side of the device and don't utilize the options for a second layer of icons. Just back, home, and recents. Quick and snappy and I don't have any big battery drain from it.

How to disable battery light ?
How to enable double tap to wake?
And one request -

Thanks! I'll add a variant without battery light on the next update. You can install a custom kernel (such as EX or franco) and enable it. Keep in mind that if you flash a custom kernel you'll have to reinstall magisk. As for the pixel animated navbar, I don't think it's possible on oreo.

Would be nice if there was, or the pixel mods were something that could be incorporated as an aroma or flashable after.

Edit: I stand corrected someone update playstore from apkmirror and got subs working.

I mean if you're willing to go through it, then that would be great, I was more or less just spitballing.
As I get older, I'm falling farther away from the custom side of android versus just accepting stock. Meaning I require less features etc to make me happy.
There is a severe lack of stock options for this device with minimal mods, or just debloating and optimizatations. Seems like more common place for people to expect 100+ feature offerings on XDA anymore.

Here is video of installation and mod review :
MOD EDIT: YOUTUBE VIDEO REMOVED
Requirements :
1)you must be on OOS 9.0 pie version(don't use any other)
2)magisk installed 17.1 or above
What this mod gives:
1)Lockscreen wheather
2)AOSP Ambient Display
3)AOSP clear all notifications button
4)reduces the lock screen wallpaper scrim.
How to:
Just download and install via magisk.
Reboot
Done.
NOTE:
If the lockscreen weather doesn’t show up at first, add the At a Glance widget from the Google App to your home screen and see if that forces the weather to show. Once it does, you can remove the widget if you want. You also need to make sure that you have location services enabled for your phone. The AOSP Ambient Display only requires you to disable the OxygenOS Ambient Display before enabling the AOSP one. Although this mod adds the Always On Ambient Display function, They don’t recommend you use it because it’s really buggy at the moment.

"1) you must be on OOS 9.0 pie version (don't use any other)", you must write that it's only for latest OxygenOS 9.0 stable update and not any of the Open Beta versions =( (f..., i have a bootloop)
dont uninstall the module, youll get a bootloop until you enable the module again!
how can i uninstall it?
Playstore not working and if i disable the module, bootloop.

Sure hopes the dev fixes it soon. Quite annoying
How did you enable weather? Maybe a tutorial could be made on how so we can make our own module once the dev stops updating or for other OnePlus devices once they receive Pie.
How to remove this module without consequences?
very good mode. after uninstall it bricked my phone. needed to unbrick it with msmDownload tool, thanks devs, next time at least try to test the basic stuff before you release mods to public!
doesn't function for me (Pie stabile)
there is somewhere any switch?
How to remove this module without consequences?
It works find most of the time but sometimes it's kinda off.

Dirty Unicorns Semi GSI for Samsung Devices
By CodeFox & OpenSauce9810
What is this?
This is a Semi Generic System Image. That means it's a generic system image that's been optimized as much as possible for our Samsung Devices.
How the heck do I flash this?
It's slightly different than flashing a zip, so here's what you need to do.
Download the image file
UNCOMPRESS IT .xz is a compressed file. So you can uncompress it with zarchiver from the playstore or 7zip/winrar.
Flash the ARH6 Vendor Image to your Vendor Partion from TWRP (Press the Install Image button at the bottom right of where you usually select a flashable zip)
Flash the System Image to your System Partition
Optional if you want root (but reccomended): Reboot to recovery again then flash your choice of Magisk. I use 17.1 as I can get galaxy wear to work with that version.
Reboot your device and you should be good to go! No need to flash gapps as they're included.
03.12.2018
Initial Release
05.12.2018
Updated sources to 9.0 r21 release. (December Security Patch)
Gapps included, (dialer and messenger also included so you won't start without a phone or sms app)
Bootanimation changed to reduce boot times
Tweaks to ambient play ticker so it clears when you clear media notifications
Further performance tweaks thanks to @malinathani animations transition smoother now.
09.12.2018
Keystore fixed - You can now use fingerprint within apps (once you've passed safetynet with hideprops module)

Fingerprint doesn't worth within apps. Other than that though everything's pretty much good I think.
@CodeFox Thanks for this rom. I used to make my own Du builds for nexus device. It was sucha an amazing experience.
Would love to try DU for note 9.
Just a couple of questions -
- Does any of the Touch wiz features like, pen related features ( bluetooth control work ) ?
- Phone related features by flashing csc files for specific network still doable ?

Pretty much all Samsung features are lost on AOSP however there are a lot of alternative apps that can "revive" the Spen.

I flashed this twice. Both times I couldn't get the setup wizard to show up. There are no gapps in the app drawer either.
Can someone confirm? I'm pretty sure I did everything right with the flashing process..

Gapps aren't included. You'll need to download a package from opengapps. Arm64 9.0. I recommend nano.
Don't forget to download a phone and SMS app too.
I copied and pasted from my PE thread so I need to take out the gapps included part. My bad, sorry about that.

No problem. Also, the .xz file needs to be extracted and the IMG file in it needs to be flashed to the system partition. I noticed you haven't included this in the flashing instructions
Thank you for the ROM btw

Haha I can understand. Btw I just restored the galaxy wearable, Samsung accessory service, gear s plugin and Samsung health using titanium backup and I didn't have to reset my gear. It just connected right away and it's working fine now. The backup I made using titanium backup was on Pixel Experience right before I flashed this rom.
I hope it doesn't do a freak reset later.. Too good to be true? :silly:

Hmm thanks for letting me know. I'll give it a go. I really do need to start using titanium backup more often. I usually have problems with apps not notifying me of new posts anymore or them being stuck in the past though.

I agree with you on those issues. Apps like whatsapp are affected with the delayed notifications so I avoid backing it up with titanium backup. Still, the fact that Gear doesn't need to be reset is a big thing. I even toggled Bluetooth on and off multiple times and it still connects to it without any prompt for reset

what ROM do you use?
EDIT: I saw in other thread of yours, you are in Official MIUI, you just unlocked bootloader. Well in Official when u unlock bootloader and stay there the device will say uncertified. You can use other ROM with the "proper changes" build in to have ur device certified. If you wanna stay on Official and have certified your device you need to lock again ur bootloader I guess. OR you can use the module Magisk Hide Props Config.

Yeah did that and it worked...
Scared me once cuz I even thought of locking bootloader and there was this guy who said if you lock the bootloader you can't unlock again and it'll brick lmao. Hey and can you tell me the list of all items you could delete from the root directory. As you know that miui takes up all of root directory's storage space. And I kind of deleted some impo files which included Android system web view(no worries I installed web view canary and now it's working fine lol). I deleted files from system/product/app where there was web view thingy. What's your suggestion?

I switched from Official ROM long ago, since MIUI 12 update.
I recommend you to switch in a custom ROM too.
MIUI is bloated, apps running in background send data to chinese servers, privacy nightmare, low battery life, bugs, slow updates in security patches (and I guess no more updates) and with the latest updates they slowed down the performance in purpose. Oh...and still Android 10

Same bruh but I'm dying to get the raise to wake and ir as fast as in miui. Do you know of any roms which have Deez? Like just raise the phone and you just teleport to the home screen without triggering the lock screen. I want that quality update but I can't find it anywhere
Edit: hey what if I did some build prop tweaking, can I get the raise to wake?

I guess ROMs with a lot of customizations such as crDroid, HavocOS, EvoX, Fluid, AEX, etc. may have it. Check their features or ask about it in the proper threads or on their telegrams.

Did check em all but none is as good as in miui.. that's why I bore with the buggies and stupid ass ads and notifs of miui. Cuz that feature was more prioritised for me.. anyways I hopped to pe plus now... Although it isn't there and the ir takes a second, I guess it's worth the shot
