Hello there,,recently i am facing a problem with my s6 edge sm-g925f,, under the display of the phone there is a a facebook app shadow,, it's too unclear to see,, but if u look closely it is visible,,it doesnt hamper anything,, but it's alwys theke under the display,,how to solve this problem/have anybody ever faced it!?

Yes,,it sounds strange,, & i neven been on this type of problem,,neither i found anything on youtube,, i tried flashing stock Nougat using odin,, but that shadow is still there.. no change!

Sounds like screen burn to me. Is it just the app icon? Can you see like the news feed very faintly?

Yes xactly! Facebook News feed like a shadow inside the display,, Will it be possibl to recover it? I have tried flashing stock rom..but didnt work

It sounds like screen burn 100% and no it's hardware issue. Only way to fix it is to change the display

The display is worth more than the phone now! Need to run the phone this way than! Really **** things samsung is making! Found on youtube that s8/s7 edge is also burning!

Yeah my note 4 had it bad also aswell as my s6 edge. Try to use a blue light filter app. It should equal out the colours so overall it should look a bit better

I don't know if this is the place to ask but I have a problem, maybe someone knows something about this: the s6 sm-g925f edge that I have, had a option in the screen setting where the resolution of the screen could be changed and after a while that option disappeared. I tried a stock rom from smmobile for my country but the option is not back can anyone help me please

This is my s8 with bodhisattva_v1 theme from xda.
BUT the setting should be the same? Is that the display setting you mean?

We have the same problem. I tried all the fonts and still doesnt work. Hope someone can help us.

Have you tried reinstalling/clearing the data? We haven't picked up anything like that on our side. Maybe contact the support team at [email protected], as they might have a solution.
Sorted mine out ,I noticed that themer was reporting not saving to sd card,ended up reinstalling firmware now works fine,this is on the galaxy s2

Are you talking about your S2's firmware?
Is it possible to take picture from video like it was possible in other samsung phones? In player there was little icon on top that you pressed to take a picure. I can't find it on my edge...

Edit : Please note I can only confirm this works for the Galaxy S8+ (G955U) as this is the device from which I've ripped it from.

Does this work screen off with 3rd party apps like hangouts? Initially it wouldn't glow the edge if the screen were off unless it was a text message.

Actually it doesn't seem to be working on my S8. It allows me to make the changes in settings but now the edge lighting doesn't come on with any of the apps I selected and even with messages/text.
I know this update is posted in the S8+ section so could that be the reason it's not working or does anyone know how to fix? thx

Mines not working at all.
It's a step in the right direction, but I think they should give you the option to manually pick the color for individual apps. Because I use Light Flow and I would much prefer if the edge lighting matched the same color as my notification LED.
Only one app was updated that was Edge Screen on my device. I have a G955U, and I ripped the apk and uploaded it. I haven't checked, but between devices the libraries could have been slightly different and the update redirects to multiple unreferenced versions for different devices.
So, sorry but I can only vouch this working on my end for the Galaxy S8+. I will update my download to reflect this statement.

After recent update it still works for me only in stock samsung messenger
and calendar apps. Nothing else, same as before.
If it works - it works in all possible combinations (face up/down, screen on/off).

Hi guys just wondering. Is the notif bar only semi transparent? I mean i see a light shadow if i put on a light wallpaper. The shadow is apparent. Can you give me a screenshot of your homescreen.

On some screens yeah it looks semi transparent... At some screens it does not. Example.. Check the screen shots it's all transperent here..

I was wondering how you set your notification bar smaller? Mine are way too big and changing display mode and text size does not do anything.

I think he means that ironically,because there is nothing new I only unzipped the s9 firmware and and upload all media files, its my mistake I didn't look in the folders sorry

Aod is the same like on s8 oreo i have all the apks from the firmware and the Name is the same aod v30 the Kamera is v8 thats new but i cant get to work i think beause new Hardware

ok i installed the version from the s9 rom there is no new aod I think I have to install some other things from the rom to get the animations bad I don't know how im not a developer I think some weeks and someone port the s9rom

After unzipping where do I place the files? Actually I just moved them to internal storage and restarted. That seemed to do it. I'm just no sure witch ones are the old and new.
