LineageOS (Lineage Android Distribution) members or anyone else on this website is not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in the products you find here before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Your warranty will be void if you tamper with any part of your device / software.
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9.0 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Lin·e·age
/ˈlinēij/
noun
lineal descent from an ancestor; ancestry or pedigree.
a sequence of species each of which is considered to have evolved from its predecessor.
If you encounter any issues with sensors or anything related to hardware, please flash stock rom and then a custom one.
Check the G3 issue tracker and LineageOS issue tracker before installation.
Clean flash is recommended, here's the procedure:
wipe Dalvik cache, /system, /data and /cache.
flash latest ROM zip
optional: flash Open GApps ARM
ROM supports update through OTA which is completely fine.
If you want to contact me, head for my telegram.
I also really recommend joining telegram: G3 development channel for more info about my projects!

Quick tutorial on how to send proper logs to help fixing an issue.
If you already enabled Developer options (settings) and have adb tools, start from 5.
Download the SDK Platform-Tools (adb and fastboot) for Windows or for Linux or Mac.
Enter Settings and scroll down to About phone and tap on Build number seven times.
Go back to Settings and switch to System and open Advanced tab.
Click on Developer options, scroll down to Debugging section and there you have Android debugging. Enable it.
Unzip the platform-tools and open CMD or Terminal, navigate there.
Type adb logcat -b all > *name*.log and then upload the log somewhere, preferably some paste sites.

The sources might not always be stable and ready to build.
Also, please don't do any unneeded forks or reuploads/mirrors.

if these things are working, the ROM qualifies to be "stable enough" driver in my opinion.

LineageOS repos with little experimental changes in kernel that may broke the camera actually ?
I have tested your build and I wrote my experience in your thread. (tested is not a good word here)

I don't have got d850 variant, but I will try to do that if someone can help me with testing. I don't want to spread unusable ROMs.
First of all thanks for the work and the rom. After a few minutes of testing (taking into account that it is an alpha version), as errors initially observed in my case: mtp mode does not work (the pc does not recognize the mobile), however it does load connected to the pc. Camera (i use snap camera) not working
GPS working (locates and fixes my location very quickly).
In my modest opinion, very good first approximation to oreo in g3. Waiting for wifi ... Regards
Posting from your ROM..soo yeah its working
Can I flash supersu?
Juste miss some feature (nonworking from op + advanced reboot..,etc)
Great!

For root, I flashed magisk 14 without problem (mr_bump not necessary)
I will test the rom if you can build it. Shouldn't be too difficult, cherry pick some of the D850 parts in the build. I'm by no means a rom developer, so see what you can do bud. Thanks man! Keep me posted or message me when you get it built.

Have you tried to check if advanced options (tap build version 7 times) are working? I forgot to check it?
SuperSU should work, but I recommend Magisk.

Do you have WhatsApp or something like that?
@HardStyl3r: yes developer options appear and is active when you tap 7 times on build.
flashed magic14 but got into secure mode after reboot (all app are grey and unable to launch, expect native app) i havent use magic14 so i'm pretty sure I've miss something.. (just flashed the .zip in twrp).. i'll try the classic supersu
Battery life seems fine (no battery drain during the night)
@joselap: check/uncheck usb debugging in dev option, a popup should appear to select the transfert mode. (charge and usb transfert working for me, havent use mtp mode. check my third screenshoot)
@Xmaster24: github is updated constantly, I'm sure ZjemCiKolege is a dev who have fix the wifi on the source... wait for the next build

Disclaimer:
We are not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone as a result of installing custom roms and/or kernels. you do so at your own risk and take the responsibility upon yourself.
OK, its pretty simple so I'm not gonna fill up the page with useless junk, its AOSP for LG G3 D855 (D855 only for now) with settings untouched (will stay this way) and base code only modified with some optimizations(caf)/device support/substratum commits.
The Aim is to keep it as close to AOSP as possible, if you want any features added go to the plenty of other ROMs available, this is for folks like me who want a clean rom as close to pure google pixel as possible.
Features added:
* Night mode
* Substratum support (rootless)
* Pixel theme (UI colors/Sounds/bootlogo)
* Gestures (added via device settings, google's settings repo untouched)
* Double tap to wake/sleep (on taskbar/bottom lockscreen).
* kernel changes (see bellow)
* Battery usage alerts from pixel aosp-7.1.2
* WakeBlock Mod support:
Its a great feature that allows you to block wakelocks sucking our precious battery without the need for root or exposed, I added the commit that enables it, link to xda thread with app link and description bellow, thanks to @CappyT @pioccd @TotemFallico @SimoIanni @GioBozza for developing this great feature.
Link: WakeBlock Thread
These are the only features that have changed and this will stay this way for stability and easy merging of future updates.
Instructions:
1. Flash Rom
2. Flash OpenGapps
3. flash supersu or magisk (I love magisk, open source and systemless!)
4. flash 'mrbump' (we are not bumped by default, you need this. NO NEED IF YOU HAVE D851!)
Optional:
* AOSP LG remote (works great)
* LG Keyboard (also works great if you want it)
Special thanks:
@mistercheese for his great work, some of his commits have helped me a lot in the past and some with this project as well
@invisiblek for his great work on bringing up the G3 to the latest android along with the rest of LineageOS team
@JDCTeam for their great work on AOSP for samsung jf, their commits helped a lot
@AOSP-Extended team for their great work on AOSP
and everyone else who put in work for the G3 or aosp (let me know if I missed someone, I'll gladly add you!)

FAQ:

probably not, this rom will remain as is other then google updates and device related commits and bug fixes
* Can you build for non D855 devices?
Perhaps in the near future, for now its only D855
* I have this bug, can you fix it?
Only if you have a logcat, even then if its not system related, and app related such as substratum the answer is no.
* is this CAF based?
Some of the commits yes, but not pure like some others, its a good balance of both AOSP and CAF
* How often will you update?
Unless there are major device related changes, once a month, no point in releasing a pointless mid-month release, google updates once a month, so will I
Love

No, lol. That aren't apps.
It is a kernel feature from the pixel. The OnePlus 3/t has it in Vertex OS...
EAS = Energy Aware System

my bad
he posted almost the same time as I did
Every time some dev gets a rom, the first (and not only) post are to ask how, where, when....., instead of bothering to try and, if necessary, report bugs, comment, give ideas (whoever has knowledge)...
I do not think this encourages devs much ...
I include myself (although I try to avoid it) but I think that this thread is "development" ...
My apologies if this is offtopic. Downloading to test and report. Thank you

To get extra features on voice assistant i drop support for 1.6 and 1.9 gb system partition. So i recommend to install this rom on 2.5 gb system partition with nano gapps package.
Volte is functional only in single slim slot. It is better to put jio on sim slot 1 for volte only services and airtel on sim slot 2 to support both 2g and LTE services.
For extra support and if you notice any bugs in ROM, suggestions are welcome:good:

The rom is working perfectly with 1.9 system partition but the only issue is that I have to use pico gapps which doesn't provide "ok google, hey google" functionality... But talking about your Rom then it is now giving most stable performace and volte is also working...?? I want to give you a small suggestions which is not that much important, but some people may find it useful, that please add volte symbol in statusbar when phone is using volte enabled network...

Volte icon in status bar is purposely avoided since call network type is indicated on dialer app during calls. Yes, Adding volte icon on status bar gives aesthetic look . I try to add volte icon after I make ROM stable. New update for lineage-17.1 is in progress.

I don't have cast supported screen to test. Check if chrome cast works.?
Take a bug report by connecting on usb debug mode while trying to cast. I try to fix on next update.
Method to take bug log
1. Connect ur phone on usb debugging mode
2. Install adb
3. Check "adb devices" for connection status
4.Take log on the presence of cast crashes.
5..command : "adb logcat -d>crash.txt"
Submit crash.txt here.:good:

Builds are mostly ready for daily use, i had no major issues while testing but some lineageos extras are not implemented yet as its still eaarly days in android 13 development
Huge thanks to everyone who supported this project, helped cover the build server cost and got me coffee/pizza for time spent on development, This project wouldnt be possible without them
Also this builds come with full BPF backport to kernel which enables fancy new android 13 features like gpu monitoring
there were hundreds of kernel commits required to get this working on 4.4 kernel and it took quite a bit of time but new kernel will be used on future 19.1 builds too
You can find some screenshots here
WoW!!! You are super fast man. I like to thank you for keeping this 5 year old devic still alive with latest updates.
Thank you, this is great.
Thanks for hard working bro. Bugs already encountered status bar battery percent don't work and Quick settings non editable
