asslam o alaikum, and hello brothers and sisters here, i am a new user here. i need help. i have a lenovo A3000-H ideatab. i buy it from china. i do the firmware upgrade from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2441135. but the bad thing that happened is, i format and then i download. the problem is that now invalid IMEI..that i fixed it by Engineering coding mode...
'"code in Engineering mode:-"'
Just enter this code in dialler:- *#7465625# or * # * # 3646633 # * # *
Now Tap on Call pad or connectivity option or you have to slide the screen.
Just Look for CDS information (Common data service information) option.
You will see Radio information there and after tapping on it.
If you have dual SIM ANDROID then you will see TWO option select any one on which you want to write IMEI with.
Now you will have to put your IMEI no in this manner :- “AT +EGMR=1,7,"IMEI_1” and “AT +EGMR=1,10,"IMEI_2” (replace IMEI_1 and IMEI_2 with your IMEI no) and tap on send command button.
for Example :- “AT =EGMR=1,7”9100XXXXXXXXXXXX”"''
( also it will be helpfull for others) please do not misuse it. its just help to solve your problem
the other problem that i fixed it is nvram error= xo1 for wifi mac adress that was formated by me... i just took a data\
nvram\APCFG\APRDEB\wifi from it i copied wifi name document from my friend tab that is same to me and paste it into my tab data\nvram\APCFG\APRDEB\wifi. my tab wifi doc replaced . the NVRAM ERROR=XO1 from wifi gone...
the thing that i need is that when i restore to default after some days to check there were no IMEI . it says invalid IMEI and also the same NVRAMERROR. that i fixed it again by the above method that i explained. then i do firmware upgrade but this time i did not select the format option, i just download.but after finishing firmware upgrade, when i turn on my tab it says INVALID IMEI AND SAME WIFI problem NVRAM ERROR. BUT I WANT THAT is there any method from which if i ever do firmware upgrade or restore default it should be fixed and it will not say INALID IMEI AND NVRAM ERROR. I JUST HATE IT. PLEASE IF ANY ONE HAVE ANY IDEA IT WILL BE A LOT HELP ...
""'''SPECIALLY THIS QUESTION IS FOR AZAM426"""
Dear friends.... is someone able to send me, or load somewhere, a copy or your Ulefone Be Pro NVRAM.BIN....I'm not sure it can help but could be useful because flashing a ROM I selected "format all" and now I've lost the NVRAM hidden partition where the IMEI codes and other important stuffs reside :crying:
I've alredy tried any existing system to write back the IMEI codes; using engineering mode AT command the phone answer me "the command is not allowed in userbuild" ...I don't really know what it means, the phone is rooted.... using MTKDroidTools I cannot see anything in the IMEI area so I cannot restore/backup IMIEI's....tried with SN Write Station tool, nothing....Maui META 3G ver 6.1316.1, nothing.....IMEI&SN Writer, nothing....
At the end could be that they don't work because the NVRAM partition has been lost....but I'm not so expert.
My actual solution is: copy the NVRAM folder, fortunately I've made a backup before, under /data/... and it works.... but the phone MUST be rooted and every time I make a full wipe, I lose everything.... any suggestions?!?
I need exactly same NVDATA.IMG, but for Ulefone power 2 , anyone can share it with me please
I have IMEI, MAC ... but SIM cant be registered to network and nearly all sensors does not work ...
Long story short, I have 2 of the Lenovo Vibe Z K910 dual sims phones. One got bricked while doing a update to a custom ROM. I was able to recover, but SIM1 slot wasn't working correctly. It would recognize the SIM card but seconds after booting it would go into "No service" state. So, using the QPST Software Download tool I did a backup of the working phones QCN info & restored it to the phone with the issue. Both SIMs worked!! But the IMEI for SIM1 slot & the mac addresses for WLAN & bluetooth are the same on both phones. I was able to use RF NV Manager to edit the QCN file with the correct IMEI info save it & restore to the phone. Now I just have DUP mac address for WLAN & bluetooth. I can do a "Restore QCN" via the Lenovo recovery menu, that gets the correct MACs but then the SIM1 slot doesn't work right again. I've looked through the QCN file with RF NV Manager to try to find it but must be missing it. Anyone know where in the QCN file I can edit the MACs? Or any other way to correct the MACs.
Thanks in advance
If somebody has nvram image of dead Cube T8 Plus tablet or is willing to share his own, I would appreciate it. I managed to lost my nvram backup and my nvram got corrupted.
I promise to change IMEI, Wireless and BT MAC address and tablet serial number before connecting to the mobile network.
Thanks
Hi guys.....here is the way that helped me change my mac address permanently(surviving reboots).I have tried this in Redmi 3s Prime and can confirm that this works.
Note: take a backup of the *.qcn file of your own phone using the qpst tool and have it safe , so that you can restore it if anything goes wrong messing your imei or mac or when you want your original mac address back.
Required Tools can be downloaded either in the miui forum thread(Thanks to the thread creator) mentioned in step 1 or through this GDrive link : https://drive.google.com/folderview...ldGtWNHc&resourcekey=0-tvs1q3f3cTxYIltpcgD4VQ
So lets get started.
1 ) head over to this thread [ http://en.miui.com/thread-348525-1-1.html ]
and follow all the preparation steps(steps 1-8) including installation of software and configuring the phone in diag mode.
2 )Open qpst tool and StartClient-->SoftwareDownload.
then go to Backup and take a backup
3)Open a copy of the resulting file (*.qcn) in any hex editor and search your phone's mac address as hex.
Eg. : if your mac address is 01:02:03:04:05:06 search it as 010203040506
[IMAGE http://i65.tinypic.com/2006xxz.png ]
4)You will get some search results. Now edit every search result with your desired MAC address.
5)And finally restore this edited *.qcn file and reboot your phone once complete.
And that's it. You have successfully spoofed your MAC Address. :good:

Much appreciation for this guide.
It works for me although in my case for step no.3 the diff was when searching for the stock MAC address I had to set txt string not hex. Only then the hex editor could find the proper 4 placements from the backup.
Just in case if anyone else ran into the same search issue with the hex editor.

I followed the guide http://en.miui.com/thread-348525-1-1.html but not alright : i do see "diag, adb" BUT i only have one entry under COM Ports in device manager and NOTHING appears in QPST Configuration tool. No phone or ports opened. I followed process few times & no luck. What's wrong?

Did you disable driver signature enforcement in windows before installing all the drivers??
If not Google how to disable and later install the drivers again and try. I had the same kind of problem. And this worked.
I just reboot without driver signature check & did process again : no changes.. :/
@VigneshGrK one (maybe more) question, where can i get *.xqcn or *.qcn file of required backup of *.qcn on QPST Software Download?

lol for me i don't even try it and just asking to you haha i'm sorry bro thanks btw it work's for me spoofing redmi 3s (land) is need more step not like his brother redmi 3 (ido) just use change my mac app and mac is changing without reboot suddenly
Kinda long & risky but I confirm this method works on Redmi Note 4X SD. Even so it's not that practical, means that you can't change MAC Address on fly, every time you have to find a PC to change the MAC address.
Where is the address in QCN that store Wifi-Mac-Address data?
my mac address is 02:00:00:00:00:00 i dont know my old mac address so how can i find it in this qcn file?
can someone tell me the line where mac address is?
meanwhile, ive replace all "0200blabla" on that qcn file, then restore it , and i restart device and nothing happened, still same strange mac address(02:00:00...)

How to spoof WiFi mac address for Snapdragon625 (Redmi 5Plus/Redmi Note 5 [indian])? I use this method but I can not find wifi mac address inside qcn file. I try to search hex number but no digit same like my device mac address.
i highly recommend to backup as xml format (.xqcn) with this format you can open .xqcn file using notepad++ to find your mac just search using your original mac e.g. 02:00:00:00:00:00 then just search using 02 00 00 separate by space or full digit without ":", for SD625 first test using this app if you facing force reboot then use guide from this thread, highly recommend to backup original .qcn/.xqcn if you want use this guide.

qpst give an option to backup as binary (qcn) or xml format (xqcn) while qpst ask you to save the file, you can't just rename the extension

I can change wifi mac address inside xqcn file on SD425 chipset but still not find original mac address inside xqcn file on SD625 chipset. I try notpad++,HxD , Hex Editor but can not find original mac address.
Next day I flash lineageOS Oreo 8.1 for SD625 (Redmi 5Plus)
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=248291
Then wifi mac address was change permanently to new address. I try to change mac address with app (change my mac) on this ROM but my device reboot. How to change wifi mac address like this lineageOS ROM did?

well... if you backup as .xqcn notepad++ is enough no need using hxd, hex edit or etc because it is not binary format, to see your original mac it's appears on setting>about phone>status> wifi mac bla bla ..., if the mac change when you change rom it's about rom/kernel related to lineage or that custom rom you used and if you flash stock rom i'm sure it'll revert to original vendor mac, try to search using three group of your original mac on .xqcn, and if you still can't find it maybe it chipset related, but i think SD625 still family of SD425/430/435 series
