I listen to podcasts on my commute and noticed that the spoken voices have a high frequency ringing distortion. I have tried with both Pocket Casts and Podcast Addict on the Stuff You Should Know podcast. Car is a 2012 MINI Countryman
I don't notice this same thing on our other car over bluetooth. I also don't notice it when playing music with Play Music.
I had seen some posts around about distortion with other things connected to bluetooth but I have nothing else connected. I'd also seen something about issues with A2DP but I couldn't find anything very recent.

Hello All.
Was up until recently a long time Sprint customer with a GS2. Played with the Note 2 during the holiday break, Was not only impressed by the Note 2 but VZ's 4G Blew me away. I had to make the switch.
I own a small bluetooth speaker for Media playback.
Speaker: http://stanleytek.com/StanleyTek.html (I own the PS3)
I never had any issues whatsoever streaming via this speaker with my old GS2.
I am having playback issues with the Note 2. I can pair with the speaker with no problems, but when I play music, every 1-2 seconds I get some type of beeping tones (via the bluetooth speaker).
I've gone through all troubleshooting steps that I can think of. Ive confirmed this beeping tone is present no matter what app I am using to play music (Rdio, Spotify, Music Player, Pandora, Etc).
It's not the speaker as I can pair to it with other media devices and playback without any issues.
Anyone have any ideas what could cause this?
I use this little (but VERY powerful) speaker very often and this issue is hindering me from doing so.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Anyone experience this? connected to the car bluetooth, but when i off the infotaintment and stop the car, the music continue playing using the phone speaker. H'mmm not a bit issue but very troublesome to stop what is playing every time
I read in a review that there's a setting you can change which lets you have music continue playing after removing headphones or have it automatically pause, I believe this setting will also affect bluetooth audio as well, perhaps this will help? I can't say if it is this though, I haven't got mine yet but it will be good for me to know too as I connect my phone to my car's stereo via bluetooth and will do the same with the Z2.
Does anyone else have issues playing music downloaded to the watch through bluetooth headphones? My watch seems to be playing music through the bluetooth phone profile instead of the music profile because it sounds horrible! It skips and has a lot of static. If I connect to a bluetooth speaker it is fine, but I haven't had any luck with headphones. Trying to decide if it's software related or if I should just exchange it. Didn't have this issue with the Huawei watch.
Works fine with my Bose Bluetooth over the ears.

So I purchased these Plantronics Backbeat Fit Bluetooth Headphones to go with the 360 watch and Nexus 6 phone. Upon synching my playlist to the 360 so I can run without the phone and just use the watch and headset I was able to play songs but every song started out garbled and distorted. In order to fix I would have to turn off the headset and turn back on then start the song and sure enough song would play fine. But as soon as the next song started I would hear the same distortion and have to once again turn off headset and turn back on. At first I thought it was the headphones but when I synched them with the Nexus 6 I had no problems whatsoever. I love the idea of running with just my watch on but I gotta get this music thing straight. Anyone have any issues like this or have suggestions?
Hi,
I do not use the watch this way usually, but I've performed some tests to reproduce your issue.
I have a 46mm Moto 360v2 and Nokia Essence bluetooth headphones (pretty old, but they have active noise cancellation, that is why I use them). I've paired them directly and played some songs.
Yes, there were periods of sound distortion (2-3sec long in my case) when I moved headphones' receiver behind my back (bt waves are blocked by the human's body). This issue exist because Moto360's BT chip is comparatively low-powered and signal strength is lower than the phone's one.
So you probably need to place your watch closer to your headphones, or change the headphones to the other, which have better antenna/receiver.
Anyone else noticing slight distortions when it comes to listening to music on the LG G6 (US997)? It's like listening to a lower quality song before it becomes high-quality 320kbps, except it goes like that for any song, even songs stored on the phone. This occurs over Bluetooth. I haven't tested plugged in.
Do you have any other bluetooth accessories connected at the same time? I found my smart watch impacts music streaming quality over bluetooth
I have this same issue. It seems like the phone had trouble handling multiple Bluetooth connections. Mine sounds like a static/crackle on every speaker that I use.
I am hoping there are some Bluetooth fixed coming with Oreo.

Mine had a hissing sound on the car's bluetooth, solved it by seting the audio settings from stereo to mono, weird problem dough
I did sone playing around and it seems to be fixed after clearing dalvik/caxhe and caxhe through twrp. I don't experience the issue anymore. Might just be me, but give it a try and see if it works for you.
