Hi!
Does our device support Voice HD (AMR-WB) and VoLTE?
On my last device (Sony Xperia X) in a conversation with the other people, on the screen was icon "HD". At Honor 9 this is not.
And I can't find information to support VoLTE. Someone already used?
There's some users who got VoLTE working, personally i never got it working. In my wife S7 edge with my sim card i have VoLTE working but in my honor 9 i'm unable to get it to work.
As far as I know the B150 should activate it.

Based on the change log, yes. In reality, no. I could not find the volte option at all. Strangely my previous honor 8 has it activated on its latest update 2 months ago.

I don't have that option in B150 (or any of the previous versions).
2 months ago I had the Honor 8 and volte was enabled. Now using the same sim card and same provider no volte option appear in Honor 9. Perhaps there's a difference between the models since this 9 I bought directly from China while the 8 was officially released in my country.

Even with same model ( h850 ) there are various carrier based rom specific to region ( like of vodafone etc ). All the roms ( of h850 not 860) can be installed to every h850 but some functions may vary. For eg when i got my mobile...rom of Germany based region was installed but even with marshmallow my phone was not having volte. I think you have installed open euro nougat rom in which volte is not supported.
Now you can try searching or flashing nougat rom of vodafone carrier.
I too want volte for jio.

I have lineage-14.1-20171001 on my op2.
Till now I had to use a heavy(drains a lot of battery & cpu) app for Volte functionality (on Reliance Jio ).
I went through some threads on how to get volte working on lineageOS(op2) and found this one
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/how-to-get-volte-on-lineage-os.505343/page-2
Someone posted oos firmware links : https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=53150[/url] by @Spannaa
I flashed OOS 3.6.0 firmware and Volte started working!!
And I got a new "HD" icon on the status bar as well as "Device is HD capable" notification.
I tried calling using the dialer and it was smooth.
Sorry if it's an obvious solution , just wanted to share.
EDIT1: I have franco kernel ( if that helps )

Damn! I hope lineage makes one working volte build by combining new oos firmware but I am still confused why the same method is not working for your phone ? What's the difference between a2003 and a2005 except memory ?

As far as I know everything is identical even memory. The only difference is with 4G/LTE network bands.
A2003:
LTE Cat4 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600 (Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20).
TD-LTE 2300/2500 (Bands 38, 40, 41).
A2005:
LTE Cat4 700/850/900/1700/1900/2100/2600 (Bands 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17).
Somewhere here is the cause of the issue internally in all the custom ROMs that is not the case with OOS 3.6.0. But since most if not all development is done on A2003, this will never be resolved, unfortunately.
Hi, do you know if we are going to get the 8.1 update guys?
Thanks!
Hopefully we get it. P20 and P20 Pro also have it, so i dont think this will be hard to port or to publish it.
Should be coming soon. No worries. It's a 400€ mid range phone : ) .
I asked EMUI support on Facebook and get this:
EMUI 8.1 will not be offered to devices that have EMUI 8.0, EMUI 5.1 or lower systems for now.

I asked through HiCare and they said all P20 models will receive 8.1 later this year as it's currently in testing phase.
I'd say be patient, the device is less than a month old.
I asked the Huawei customer support and they said, this phone is just one month old, it probably won't stuck on 8.0, but it sure will be a few month or half year maybe. :/ So be patient, also have p20 lite tough, and I need it because of the LDAC codec for my Bt radio Sound quality. So yeah, would be great if we got it already
android 8.1
Is the phone upgradeable to android 8.1 from 8.0 even if emui is not upgradeable
Probably
Considering Huawei's new devices are coming out with EMUI 8 8 or even 8.1 out of the box, it's probably only a matter of time before other devices get updated. Huawei's been really keen on updating their devices. Once their updating their legacy models even going as far back to the Honor 6X, I'm hopeful that after this they'll start updating more of their newer devices.
Does p20 lite support LDAC? Thank you.
p20 and p20 pro will receive the new GPU Boost feature, in the statement say that only p20 and p20 prso, but also mention the Nona 3e which is the same as the p20 lite.

No. the closest that's aptX HD, and you can play with sample rate and bits per sample.
Software problems
Problem since the last software update AME-LX1 8.0.0.157(C782) My P20 lite will not stay connected to the mobile network for more than 15 minutes at a time. I have to keep putting it into airplane mode and then taking it out again before it will conmect back to a network. Is this issue being sorted out

custCversion = Country Region
Also known as:
-Cust Version
-Regions
-Region Code
-CUST Region Provider
-Customization
-Etc, etc...
You can check your in the build number inside of brackets:
Build Number ANE-LX1 8.0.0.164(C432)
So my CUST is C432
Or if you are familiar with terminal emulator use this code:

I flashed my SOV40 with the Global firmware (Customized_UK) for J8110 and was able to get VoLTE working by replacing some files.
You can download the rom (or just the patch) from --> my GDrive <--
Flash it with newflasher.
- I can NOT quarantee this will work for every other models! as I only have 1 device.
- I ONLY tested it on my SOV40 model with an Indonesian carrier and the VoLTE is working fine (but the NFC no longer work).

I have no idea about that
these patch files are copied straight from the Customized_SEA firmware for J9110
I've ended up simlock-ing my phone. Now it can't detect the sim. Halp.
Edit: Downloaded and flashed customized UK firmware, wiping user data, did the trick and the sim is now detected.
