some question - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

I just got this phone 3 days ago (my first Chinese phone and I think the battery life is awesome)and was thinking to root and flash new ROM, can someone with good heart willing to answer me and guide me thank-you in advance.
My redmi note is 4x 3gb/32 Snap dragon
First question is what tool do I use to root my device.
Second is which is the best ROM ATM for redmi
Third is my phone unlocked when it says on the developer options Mi Unlock status :unlock and OEM unlocking can set to Enable.
Thank-you so much

When you move to custom rom you loose some of your camera quality

About root:
1,Flash the twrp with the adb tools on PC
2,flash the super su via twrp

Will Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro have more ROMs?

Hello guys, i currently own a Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Prime, and so far i love it!
But i have had some problem with it (battery life, no HDR etc) since there is not a "Stable" rom for it...
I've read that it's "harder" (if we can say that) to create a stable ROM if it's a MediaTek Processor, is that true?
And since Redmi Note 3 Pro will have Snapdragon 650, will it be easier to create stable ROMs for it?
If you ask why i don't use MIUI 7, well i really want to use MIUI 7 for my Redmi note 2 but it doesn't have my native language and therefore i use a custom ROM instead.
answer is yes but

SD chipset officially supports cyanogenmod so answer is yes,but there is catch... xiaomi locks bootloader so for unlock it will take you up to 15 days .... xiaomi must give you permission to do that .... so better to know that before you do anything .... must be some global rom for redmi note 2 prime miui 7.1.... i'm not sure witch language you want ....

They lock it?
That's the first time I ever heard that android device needs permission to unlock something.
But how come i didn't need any permission to install a custom ROM in my redmi note 2 prime?
I just found a ROM and installed it and it worked great! (Well almost)
The language i want to use I Swedish, but it isn't available in MIUI 7

i dont know any for swedish but they locked it before 2-3 weeks .... now must do it... there is no recovery before unlocking bootloader... also cant flash twrp or cwm before unlock so you must wait .... any user can unlock it but wait up to 15 days... its easy to root, flashing beta miui roms but CANT ACCESS RECOVERY its all about "user security" and site like icloud called "i.mi.com" ... there is software for unocking but you must log in with your acc and must have permission on acc to do that... so it becomes complicated SADLY XIAOMI ... VERY SADLY ..... SHAME ....

Sorry for a late reply, but damn Xiaomi is becoming more and more like Apple with their updates to prevent hackers to jailbreak the phone...
This is is taken from the link and I quote: "but also to fill in the details, including your “reason to unlock” description — yes, you must explain to them why you want to unlock the bootloader, so it really is an application process."
My ONLY reason is that they don't have my language in their ROM.... If they refuse to accept that I won't buy that phone...
But one question though... My CM 12 in my redmi note 2 isn't that stable, but since the redmi note 3 have a snapdragon chip, will that make is more stable than a Mediatek chip when someone make a CM12 ROM for the redmi note 3???
hmmm

i understand that... but reason is : I bought note 3 and i wanna do whatever i want with that.... isnt it? it was not free for me....
look rm note 3 have mtk chipset and have cm 12.1 for it and have ressurection remix rom
rm note 3 pro have sd chipset and i think no roms for it yet couse bootloader .... its annoying for devs.... again shame... they mean that they are too big for fall .... dear xiaomi u didn't...
The reason the pro has no roms is because no developers has the phone yet and it is the first snapdragon 650 device in the world. There will definitely be good rom support for it but not for some time to come.

Wow I had no idea that it's the first snapdragon 650
Well that explains a lot, I guess I just have to wait to buy the phone until some Roms is released.
Xiaomi locks the bootloader now because many retailers added adware and spyware, it is really just to protect the customers, you can still unlock it after approval.

Plus, according to Xiaomi - they will release kernel sources for the device up to 3 months after the device has been launched in India. That means no stable custom roms until they release the sources.... if they release them at all
But I read that you could bypass the unlock method some where on the internet…I will post the link asap

There is currently no developer ROM available for RN3 pro, so this will not work
EDIT:
It seem that now it can be done on stable ROM; also, root is possible
Anyone tried BL unlock on stable ROM? I'm runnin' 7.1.16.0

Error at 50% Unlocking - just like with every other stable ROM, following the exact method from Xiaomi forums.
"Current account is different from account Info on device"
Many other users reporting the exact same issue:

Revert Redmi Note 3 to original condition

I'm planning to sell my Redmi Note 3(SD) and since i have unlocked/rooted/twrp it may cause some problems for the buyer regarding future OTA, so can anyone please help me to revert it back to original state?
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using XDA-Developers mobile app
If you officially unlocked. Used mi flash to flash a latest global or global dev rom. Once compketed, all data in your phone will be fully wiped. I personally prefered global dev rom it have multi languages like I had been using redmi note 2. You can locked the bootloader back may be by mi unlocking tool. Since you going to sell the phone, you need to removed this phone from mi account else the new user may have problem on using the phone. Google for the intructions.

try this method in video but don't replace emmc.

Like timberwolf said use mi flash tool and flash fastboot ROM.. Will make the device like a fresh one ..

I Want to be sure about the root method & roms for Redmi Note 3

Hi,
With too many Redmi 3 sub-models, it hard for me to getting "knowing the ropes".
I bought the Redmi Note 3 Pro 3GB 32GB Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa Core.
Read the "index-custom-roms" and there are a LOT of roms theres, hell knows what would suit me? (A clean /smouth/ android with few modes)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/index-custom-roms-t3396628
I still totally confused with:
- What is the Rooting method that works for this sub-model? (after sending request to Xiaomi to unlock the BL)
- I want a clean rom without Chinese bloatware - running smoothly without lags.
Please help me straighten out with this confusing area (for me).
Thanks you very much!
After getting unlocking permission, you need to unlock BL through miunlock tool. Then, install twrp with fastboot adb. After that you get n number of roms as per your liking & preference. Cm13 by santosh is my favorite.

Thanks mate.
But I still getting confusing and I really need to someone will paste here the links to the right TWRP recovery filecause I can easily flash the wrong recovery file.
What is the tool for unlocking the BL of the: Note 3 Pro 3GB 32GB Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa Core
Also - for your opinion - what is the most clean smooth rom out there for this sub-model?
Thanks very very much for the help.
https://dl.twrp.me/kenzo/
Here's the official twrp. Kenzo is device's codename so you don't get confused with other sub-models.
You will find unlock tool on the same website you applied for permission, Its the same for all variants.
I'm using CM13 based on official sources, it pretty smooth,
BTW, most ROMs for kenzo are based on official CM sources so you'll get almost similar experience on them.

[Q] TWRP Port for Poco F1?

Hi will the mi 8's twrp work for poco as they are very similar to the core?
If not, please link me to a twrp porting guide for sd 845.
twrp does not depend on the processor only. it depends on other things as well, like partitions.
here's a guide.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943625
PS;- i wont suggest using Mi8 twrp on poco.

yes, thats what I have read as well.

can the samsung A11 really have its bootloader unlocked + rooted?

from what i read all samsung mobiles from the galaxy S6 that use snapdragon processor have the bootloader locked without the possibility to unlock
but from many posts its seems really easy to unlock the samsung A11 SM-A115M
i just need to be sure, because i am about to buy it, but in case i can't unlock it i would buy the a10s instead
thanks!
still need a confirmation
thanks

About buy. I'm not suggest you to get this phon. It's x86, sometimes laggin' can be root with magisk but need to unlock bootloader. (You can do it pretty easy)
On my SM-A115F I'd got a root with magisk but it's not very useless. Because standart way to unlock bootloader just a bull**** and rapid dust in your eyes, you can't flash any custom rom because you not abled to unlock your SECURITY QUALCOM BOOT (QSB) option. So there's no any TWRP support untill someone jailbreak the QSB.
Also /system is RO so no very usefull options to change system files.
If you want A11 then better take A10.
A11 not really worth your money.
