Hi All,
My Honor 7 model number is PLK-AL10. And it is from China. There's a lot of annoying chinese program that I can't use.
I'd like to change the regio settings... and/or to an European ROM. (if it's possible)
Could anybody help me?
Thanks

Well you can remove apps and change region after rooting your phone. But otherwise, nearly all of them can be uninstalled. Any others you don't want you could move to the hide app section.
Its the Hivoice app which has no english voice support which cannot be deleted.
The Huawei app center is useful to keep Huawei apps updated, so i don't delete that.
Then the music and video app shows online Chinese content, but it might not be a problem since in international version they have no online content at all.
Hicare app is useful to send feedbacks and requests.
The theme app if you turn off phone remove sim card, and restart phone, the theme app will shows more themes that are available in China.
I have access to Huawei cloud so i use that as well, and pretty useful as the gallery and files manager is connected to the cloud.
Hi,
I have PLK-TH01H, is it also from China?
I noticed these versions:
ATH-AL00
PLK-TL00
PLK-CL00
PLK-AL10
PLK-TH01H
PLK-UL00
I would also like to remove chinese software but it sounds not so easy. We probably need to wait for a custom rom.

Try some vpn and changes your location to UK
I'm not sure, but I don't think you can, can you? Wasn't this answered recently elsewhere?
I'm in the UK and I just set the locale to Italy. Appears to have made no obvious difference... although the thought of pasta suddenly seems a lot more appetising
Hi everybody,
seems like that since the beginning of September various e-shops have had availability of a Global Black Shark.
Judging from various unboxing/review videos the main difference seems to be that the Global Black Shark uses a stock-ish Android Oreo with preinstalled Play Services, but this ROM doesn't seem to exists on any site.
Does anybody know something more about that?
I think it would be cool to have an official global ROM.
I purchased mine 4 days ago here, I'm somewhere from Asia.
Yes it comes with Stock Android ROM. Although this looks the way it should be presented to the world, I think I prefer the China ROM's JoyUI due to the features I liked from Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x.
It is similar to MIUI and somehow I regret getting the global verson.

I have the global one as well and its kind of like lineage OS + the shark space , or the way android looks on a google pixel phone + shark space with all the options to configure the gamepad , extreme mode , etc.
Other than that there is no sign of any other joyui features like screen recording and the other stuff with the led customization.
It only says JoyUi when you go to check for updates even though its not
Doesnt come with any bloat-ware either at all.
Out of the box it had about 15~ apps installed which were most google apps , and it has the play store by default.
To be honest i prefer the the more simple global rom because i read on the official chinese forums on the joyui version that there are some stability issues with the software where it sometimes reboots randomly on its own which kinda sucks if its true.
Dont have any screenshots as there is no need since it looks like stock androind.
If you wanna see the ui check out the unbox therapy video where you can kind of see what it looks like.

i see, well i got the Chinese version since june, i can't deny an occasional force reboot happens but its very rare like once in 2 weeks, and its much better with the recent updates, it was a bigger problem before android 8.1 update arrived, now its negligble.
i also had some issues with google services and facebook force closing in the first FW version but that was also fixed now, im very happy with the phone RN, joyui is also very clean and has no bloatware at all, except xiaomi standard apps like the market and gallery app file manager etc which i like since i had xiaomi mi6 before.
overall its great though, battery life is amazing partly due to the big battery of the phone but i think joyui + xiaomi background managment is doing really good work, when im not playing it can easely last 2.5 days of causal use with around 8 hours of SOT. with hibarnate disabled so i get notifications on whatsapp etc.
there is only one thing that really bothers me i wonder if global version is the same, when im taking a video with the camera, the auto focus always goes nuts and keeps trying to refocus and never does, didn't have this issue with any other xiaomi phone before and its the same camera app. i end up using manuel focus for taking videos which is anoying at times when u try to move the camera around focus gets lost.
I have a chinese Black Shark and it's really great except for the fact that the play store is not built in.
You can add it via various tools but it not being a System app brings some compatibility issues such as Android Auto not connecting properly to the phone (logcat says it misses som authorizations).
It also have some problems with the download manager (Play Store sometimes needs a clear data to start download apps again) and with notifications

I have the Chinese version , would much rather have the global one
Black shark 2 variation
I just notice the the Model ada diffrent
For the china is SKR-A0
While the global is SKR-H0
Is there alot of diffrent?
I think that until the last update, the Global one was too a SKR-A0.
With the last update the name of the model was changed to fit with the "Helo" name of the new model, thus the "H" instead of the "A".
Can i change the chineese rom to the global one?, and if so, how?
Pls help

At the moment, this seems impossible.
There are no chinese or global roms online and there is no known method of unlocking the bootloader on the chinese version.

China version just got the firmware update from blackshark helo, 60 fps ui, more backlight led options, and cool gaming mode stats tool showing real time fps cpu temp etc.

Good morning everyone!
I have downloaded Douyin (Chinese version of TikTok) and want to use it here in the US, however, it does not let me change the language to English. I want to find a way to give me this option. I am using the most recent version and everything. I have tested a few things with my Chinese friends that are in China and found the following:
- Using my app in the US, logging into their Chinese made accounts, the lose the language selection option in the settings. While using the app in China, they are provided the ability to choose the language they would like.
- My account in the US does not give me this option at all.
- Using a VPN on Android, selecting Hong Kong does not change the setting either.
If you wanted to test and try it for yourself, here is the website to download the app: https://www.douyin.com/
Any other ideas on what I might try to trick the app into allowing me to use that feature? I am using a stock Samsun Galaxy S9+ on the latest AT&T version of the OS. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I was really hoping to get some help here. Or maybe some direction if anyone else has any ideas?
Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere but I couldn't find anything unfortunately. I was recently gifted a K50G (AMG Edition) which seems to be a nice upgrade from a Mi9T, however I've noticed despite changing the system language to English that certain bloatware apps from Xiaomi such as the main music app, browser etc are all in CHN language.
I'm aware that this is a Chinese phone rather than a global one so certain features maybe limited but I'm just wondering if there was a solution for this, or if any ROMs would be needed?
