Hello everybody.
We all know that Moto Display is very useful and shows incoming notification. In Moto G and E devices, it activates when the phone is moved from its position, or when a flip cover over the phone is opened. However I have heard that in Moto X devices, it activates even if you wave over the proximity sensor.
So I thought of making a small app that does the same. It is on Play Store.
MotoDisplay handwave
Hit thanks of the app has helped you
This is the feature I missed most from my Moto X Pure and one of the reasons I stayed with Moto, thinking it would be a stock feature on the G5S Plus as well..
I installed it and it seems to work, but maybe not as sensitive as the factory Moto X version. I will play with is some more when I get time.
Doesn't work on XT1806 says device not supported

Works like a charm!!! :good::good:
Moto G5s plus (XT1804)
The app is awesome and is working perfectly for g5splus
But I am worried about the excessive battery usage as mentioned when we open the app

Hello There
I have Moto E that was working perfectly. But one day it stopped working suddenly.
I think the reason behind it is that i upgraded to lollipop(unofficial update) by some random developer from XDA.
I have tried all the threads available over google to recover my device but none of them worked for me.
Whats the exact problem then?

My Moto E also got bricked The worst part is that I only had this phone for about 2 weeks. If you hardbricked it, you need to replace the motherboard, no exception. However, if you still have access to recovery mode (Hold Power + Volume Down for about 6 seconds, let go, should boot into another menu) then consider yourself extra lucky. If you can go into recovery mode, then you can search Google for how to flash stock firmware onto moto e.

Hi all,
I've changed the app icon of Lineage OS' Snap camera to the Pixel 1 round icon.
I have not made any changes to the app itself so it should run just fine.
I have tested this on LOS14.1 and AICP 12.1 and the app works just as it should. (Android 7.1.2 only)
In order to use this, you must delete the Snap camera located in /system/app or system/priv-app. (Please do this at your own risk, take a nandroid backup!!!!!!)
I am not responsible for bricking your devices or making you lose camera functionality.
Install at your own risk. I use this as a daily camera app with no issue whatsoever.
The app can be installed as normal/user with no issues.
If anyone with a variant other than G900F can confirm this app fully working (Camera, Video record incl. 4k) then let me know so I can update this post.
My aim for this is to get the looks some desire but also not loose any functionality as you would installing Google camera APK's.
I'm running Nougat 7.0 on Moto G4 Plus.
It's been rooted and Xposed Installed.
I've tried various apps for changing device id's but nothing seem to work , it crashes whenever opened.
But the same app is running well in my other phone Samsung on Jelly Bean.
I need to change every hardware id like mac, imei, etc.
The app I used in other phone is : Device Id IMEI Changer Xposed
I couldn't post a link

Download section of Xposed Installer app. Search there and you'll find several more tools that may work.
LG G3 D851, AOSPA-L ROM, Nebula Rev9.3 Kernel, microG (NoGapps), MultiROM, XDA Legacy
wait i try to make one
bumping old thread.
I'm trying to find a solution for my LG v30, it hangs on LG logo after changing device ID. any solution would be appreciated!
@larciel
IMHO changing Androids Device ID only makes sense on Android emulators.
Wondering why you did it?
There is a problem with the QR reader, the one from the top bar, you can hear that the camera turns on, a frame appears, but the whole background is black ...

the same to me...
Also for me not working...
Xperia 1 IV android 13
Xperia 5 IV .913 sw, same. i hope next version of sw fix this problem.
Same for me as well. It's just a blank screen! I hope Sony fixes this asap
don't think it is actually SONYs fault. That was not working on pixels also so would rather blame google.
But the one in camera works just fine and it is actually faster to use, just a long press of the shutter button.
Though, it works on my samsung tablet but I think that one is some samsung implementation because it looks completely different and no Powered by Google at the bottom
It started working. Itself. I didn't do anything...
Yes! Finally it started working for me as well....
Probably a play services update....
