Maybe I'm just missing the setting. I can't find the Camera App in App Scaling settings. I want to raise the shutter button or have the navigation buttons stay onscreen. However, I can't find the Camera app in the "hide navigation" settings either. When I try to swipe up to display the nav buttons i end up snapping a picture. It has so much blank space that it would be just fine if I could either get the nav buttons to remain onscreen or get the scaling to move the shutter button up.
bumping this because I want the nav buttons back too. The u-turn button is not useful.
Just swipe up more towards the left or right and you'll have no issues but other than that your pout of luck so far as I've found. Are you in 4:3 camera mode or 16:9

4:3 mode. Of course I try to swipe around the button. Hopefully there will be a fix or ability to keep nav buttons on in the next update. Not like there is no room.
Yeah so I have this issue too and it's infuriating for the opposite reason. When you're in the camera and a notification pops up, the nav buttons come up. Which puts the home button ON TOP OF and HALF COVERING the shutter button. So I end up missing that photo I wanted to take because someone texted me or an email came in just as I was hitting the shutter button, and instead hit the home button.

This apk is a slight mod on jerryfan2000's Button Saviour app (similar to softkeys). . . the only difference I made on his app is that the ever-present overlay icon (that you press to bring up the soft keys) is invisible.
So if you learn where it is on the screen, just touch there to bring up the keys--and you won't have to have an always-present arrow overlay sitting on your screen. It gives you the option to set it to launch on a long-press, in case you find yourself accidentally launching it.
If you have trouble finding it the first time (after all, it is invisible), just switch to the Sense theme, then back to default...
If you have trouble finding it on a regular basis ( harder than you might think) and your LCD density is set to 250 like mine, here's a setting that will make it easier:
1. Set it to come up on the right side (default)
2. Set "icon position" to 0
... This will give you an easy landmark to help you find the invisible launcher icon: the bottom of the volume down button on your nook. Look for that, then touch the edge of the screen next to it to launch button saviour.
If anyone has found useful landmarks for screens with LCD densities other than 250, please post and I'll update.
If you want to check this out, you'll have to uninstall Button Saviour (if you already have it) for it to successfully install.
If the button menu looks tiny, you might want to get the Spare Parts app and check the box for Compatibility Mode (then reboot). This should increase the size.
If you like it, please thank jerryfan2000 (his thread here), as the app is his creation--my contribution in making this mod was an idea and two blank png images.
Is this file the same one as the site in your sig? I'm assuming thats your site b/c it has all of the info from your thread over in General.
But so you know if you change the Theme to Sense you can get the position of the button without having to play with the numbers.
Also on 0 it wasn't on the bottom of the Volume Down button. I'm gonna guess this is b/c your LCD density is 250 and mine is default but just FYI.

Good point on the LCD density - I'll edit.
Yeah, same file as the one on the site.
I am using this now after switching many times. The visible button on Button Savior drove me nuts. The Softkeys button could be made transparent but it kept floating around so I never knew exactly where it was. But I got this one finally to my liking. I left it in the center on the right side. Easy to find in landscape mode because it is next to the hard home button. For portrait mode I put a very tiny piece of black tape next to the edge of the screen. This allows me to feel exactly where the button is. Works perfectly for me now. Thanks.
*settings are at 260 for the slider, LCD Density is set to 204. I used the Sense Theme of Button Saviour Mod to get the numbers to visually line up with the hard home button in landscape mode and to apply the black tape in portrait mode.
Would it be possible to somehow map the hard home button to the "invisible" app to make the menu appear?
I love Button Savior 5, but it would be great if it appears when the hard home key is pressed. Even better if I could set it to bottom center of the screen in portrait!

I don't think u can map Button Savior that way. You can mount Softkeys that way. Leave the Invisible button Savior installed. Also install Softkeys. Set Softkeys as your home launcher. In the Softkeys settings set the home launcher of your choice and set Softkeys to one home tap and your home launcher to double tap. You will also probabily want to "kill" the Soft keys floating button if u are running Button Savior along with it.
The only problem I can think of with that configuration is that when u hit the Button Savior Home button all u will be doing is opening up the Softkeys buttons unless u double tap it. U may want to set the Softkeys button to a double tap and your chosen launcher to a single tap to avoid that redundancy.
How to set trigger button to bottom center of the screen
Can I set the trigger at the bottom center not on left nor right side?
Thanks a lot!
So added this code http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8469112/hide-ics-back-home-task-switcher-buttons
to hide nav keys on app but when pressing physical volume buttun or power button, which shows an item on screen, the video ratio changes then returns to normal when item from screen disappers. This is when on landscape view. Also when returning to portrait view, the nav bar is hidden untill I press the screen. No probelm on phones with no navigation keys
Cant get same behaviour as youtube.
Thanks

With the Note 4 you could swipe your hand across the screen while live video was playing and you could get a screenshot. Holding the power button and the volume down key doesn't let you do that. Is there another way?
On the upper left of the notification screen there is a "Capture" icon. Click on that and it will capture the current screen and drop down a menu with things to do with the capture. Kinda a pain in the rear IMO.
Choose the checkmark on the left side once you capture, then it will save automatically to the gallery.
Thanks..the Pac12 app won't allow that. Is there any other way?
Is there anyway I can have the navigation bar on all the time? Including fullscreen videos? I hate having to click back on the camera (and other apps) for the navbar to appear when I can just press home if the navbar was always on. Is there anyway to do this through Xposed orany other method?
The soft keys?
If you're talking about the soft keys then there are 2 ways for them to pop up on the screen.
1. Tap the screen (this only works on certain apps)
2. Swipe - if you're in landscape mode then swipe the right edge inwards the soft keys will appear.
If you're in Portrait then swipe up from the bottom edge and the soft keys will appear.
But if you're talking about the Navigation bar then you need to swipe Downward no matter if you're in Landscape or Portrait..

I know how to make them appear, I'm asking if there's a way to make them stay there all the time like physical keys. Off topic is there also a way to remove the delay response of holding the power button for the power options to appear?

Sorry I can't give you firm answers because my phone is with LG for repair, but I do recall seeing in settings options for when the buttons appear and disappear. It allowed you to set it on a per-app basis.
As for the delay response for the power button, your best bet would be to see if there is an Xposed plugin. To use Xposed you'll need to root the phone.
When I get my phone back I can give you more specifics, but LG has the worst warranty repair service and has yet to fix the issue after sending it to them four times.
You at JBLM? Thanks for your service!

Thanks for your reply  but I've looked at everything possibly related to power button delay or the navigation bar (soft keys) on Xposed before posting here and still nothing. I did find a screenshot delay remover in Xposed and works great. Finding the power button is not as important as the soft keys because I can just use Rom Toolbox's rebooter and power/reboot/recovery etc... The soft keys thing on the other hand I would like to have because I hate having to pull up for them to make them appear... Iv'e looked at the settings you mention for showing/not showing per app but every app is not listed, its just some of the apps on your phone (apps that I would like to have the soft keys always on are mostly video apps which are not listed on this settings.) I', almost used to it by now, I just rather have the keys always on or a phone with actual physical keys.
Yes I live in JBLM . I'm a dog handler in the Army.
Hello,
When you press the home button it takes around a second for the screen to respond that's because the system is waiting to see if you going to double click for the camera or triple click for the one handed mod.
FIX: disable quick launch camera and one handed mod and see the speed.
Regards
I am not experiencing this at all I hit the button and the screen pops on. No lag. That being said, quick launching the camera is something I can't live without.
