So I was trying to install TWRP recovery on my cellphone with PC (already had root) but I had an error and when I opened recovery there was an icon of an android with a triangle. I pressed the power button for 20 sec and it booted correctly. Now I flashed the stock recovery with Flashify inside the phone and when I booted the fastboot mode and opened recovery it would automatically close and in the log says the following:
Invalid boot image size!
failed to validate recovery image
Fastboot Reason: Fall-through from recovery boot mode
I still can use my phone correctly but I really want to use the custom recovery so I can flash Lineage OS 14.1 but I can't because of this.
Can someone help please? :crying:

You sure the recovery image was for Moto E2 ? As you're posting this in Moto E1 forum!
I believe you flashed Moto E1's recovery image! Go to twrp(dot)me to get twrp recovery for your phone.

If you flashed a stock vs custom/neutered build of 4.5.2 then low level components/partitions were likely overwritten. Assume fastboot reboot recovery does nothing after twrp flash attempt. Might want to post in one of the unbrick/unlock threads by @draxie or @ONYXis to see if they have some ideas.
I tried to install custom rom in my lenovo p70, I successfully flash TWRP and I backup my device before proceeding in flashing this rom in "www.needrom.com/download/vibeui-3-5/". After I backup my device, I proceed in installing the rom using twrp but when it says reboot, my phone stuck in boot logo and keeps on restarting. The "Volume up + power button" still working and I got a chance in selecting recovery mode but when I choose it, it just stuck in boot logo and restart again. I tried flashing the TWRP again but no luck, I can't enter in recovery mode to restore my backup :crying::crying::crying: Please I need help
Assuming the backup via twrp is still in the internal storage, go to fastboot and boot the twrp image (fastboot boot *twrp.img*) and restore.
I'm stuck in fastboot sir. My previous ROM is android 4.4.4 64bit. Can I flash the stock rom using flashtool?

Download ADB and Fastboot tool. Place the custom recovery image on the ADB and Fastboot folder. Turn on the device and go to fastboot then connect it to the computer. Open terminal/cmd: fastboot boot "name_of_the_recovery.img"
It should boot the custom recovery then you can restore your backup.
Or just flash the stock rom if you have it.
I also have the same problem. my stock rom on Lenovo-P70-A was kitkat 4.4.4. 32bit. i tried to install CM-13 64bit by following the procedure on this link: http://www.lenovoroot.com/2016/10/cyanogenmod-130-for-lenovo-p70-fully-working.html . but something went wrong. i flashed P70A_AOSP_5.1_64bit_v2 using SP Flash tool and then flashed cm-13.0-v1-UNOFFICIAL-P70 but when i rebooted the phone, it is in continous bootloop. turns on, shows logo for some seconds then again boot. i can go into fastboot mode but can not get into recovery. prevously my phone was rooted and i made backup with twrp on my usb flash but now how can i restore my backup from usb flash. i can not boot into recovery even from fastboot and can not flash twrp or other recovery from fastboot.
any help would be appriciated.
thanks in advance.
UPDATE: BOOT LOOP LENOVO P70-A PROBLEM SOLVED.
Before when i posted the bootloop problem. i was unable to turn off the phone and without turning off properly I was unable to flash stock rom with SP Flash Tool, but after searching i found this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/help/removable-battery-how-to-shut-phone-t1964992 .In this thread I found how to turn off a phone with a non removable battery. During bootloop when Logo appeared i kept press power button at least for 10 seconds and then phone powered off and no more boot loop. so I was able to flash stock image using SP Flash tool. now my problem solved and phone is working fine.
Hello! This is my first thread on the forum;
I'm writing because I think I soft bricked my Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 LTE, let me explain from the very beginning.
It's a brand new device, bought today, and with a custom italian ROM which was sold with.
I just wanted to root it, and the bootloader was already unlocked because it was a custom ROM, so I tried to install TWRP (mocha version for Mi Pad) with Fastboot and then I wanted to install Magisk.
The issue is that, when I tried to flash TWRP to recovery with fastboot flash recovery twrp.img, it all went "OK" but then TWRP was not actually flashed and couldn't boot it with key combinations, it just looked like it wasn't there. I also tried to boot it without flashing, with fastboot boot twrp.img but it gave me
"Failed to load/authenticate boot image: 00000050" error
Looking on the web, I found someone who told to try fastboot flash boot twrp.img and so, without even thinking, I did it.
That's the main issue. I rebooted, and found that TWRP started, but now I couldn't boot my device anymore, because the default boot.img file was replaced by twrp.img. So, practically, TWRP replaced my device's default system (I think?).
Then, I tried to find a stock firmware for Mi Pad 4 (Clover) on the web, and I found it, so I flashed the stock firmware boot.img, fastboot flash boot boot.img, but when I rebooted, the device was stuck in the loading screen with three dots loading over a "Powered by Android" logo. I waited 20 minutes, nothing, it looks stuck, so this stock boot.img doesn't seem to work.
I can actually flash TWRP and that stock boot image both whenever I want and switch between them; the first works, the latter doesn't.
So, in poor words: I flashed twrp.img as boot.img and now I can't boot normally, but TWRP starts when turning on my device.
But I just want to get my default boot.img or system, or any other way to reaccess to my device. That's fine even if I have to hard reset or wipe everything, it's fine even if I am going to lose data, but please, just help me.
Can someone help me? I'm just a newbie in this world, please help me unbricking my device.
Thanks in advance.
Try installing twrp again and boot to it
Download custom rom.of your choice ( im using hovac and it been great for a year now )
Move it to your mipad via comouter
Format everything in twrp and install the rom and gapps
--- I just remembered havin same issue u having and if im not mistaking : u should reboot to recovery right after installing twrp ( you dont reboot to system )
Im not really sure about it cause it happened long time ago
@DanielVipx
Sorry, seems you tried that already. Did you try the mi flash tool?
This might help:

Hello I'm stuck at fastboot loop with my Mi A3 after flashing TWRP
Here is what I did:
1. unlocked bootloader
2. downloaded TWRP from here: dl. twrp. me/ laurel_sprout/twrp-3.3.1-0-laurel_sprout.img.html (cant post links, sorry)
3. installed it with fastboot flash boot twrp-3.3.1-0-laurel_sprout.img
After that the reboot is always goes into fastboot
I found the advice to change the partition - it was B and I set it to A and it could load the stock recovery, so I tried to flash TWRP again and it went to Fastboot loop again, on both partitions. No I don't know what to do.
command 'fastboot devices' - shows the device.
but I cannot boot into recovery, I tried holding power and volume up buttons many times, it always boots into Fastboot (screen with bunny and robot)
Please help!

Flash the boot.img of your current firmware version in twrp to both slots and flash twrp installer.zip afterwards then reboot. Now you will be able to boot as normal and have twrp installed also

TWRP breaks down? ? Man!! Everyone using it.
All the youtubers.
There is a stable twrp for a3
I have a problem that i never make it into recovery again. I am used to adb/fastboot, this is my 5th device and i happily used different custom roms as lineage, havoc, crdroid for about 7 years and thus am familiar with the concepts of a/b, recovery, adb/fastboot and so on.
Now, when i "flash_all" with stock from here (V10.3.17.0.PFQEUXM) on my a3, i suppose both slots a and b are overwritten with stock. interestingly this stock rom only boots in a-slot, not in b-slot.
when i now just "fastboot flash recovery twrp...." with 3.3.1.2 and hit the manual enter to recovery (power + vol up), i just get a "no command" error - no twrp in sight.
i also tried this with flash_all V11.0.2.0.QFQEUXM rom (a10) and fastboot flash recovery twrp 3.3.1-17 Q from mauronofrio - same result.
anyone knows what i did wrong?
basically i didnt enter team win recovery for some good amount of tries which slightly terrifies me at this point. (help)
Should i use the global versions instead of the europe ones? Do i need to use "fastboot flash BOOT twrp.." instead of "fastboot flash recovery twrp.."?
I am also happy for suggestions where i could pose this issue more appropriate.
//update: i am now in stock rom and could root it with flashing a magisked boot.img but still cannot enter twrp recovery (-> "no command").
Ya you entered the wrong command it's
Code:
fastboot flash boot twrp.img
When you boot to twrp make sure to flash stock boot.img of the firmware which you are currently running and then flash twrp installer.zip flash both of these in twrp and do not reboot between flashes
thanks @garylawwd

So to be sure: i have stock 11.0.3.0 europe from here installed and i am in slot a now and i cannot go into twrp because it says "no command".
i go to fastboot now, then
Code:
fastboot flash boot twrp.img
with a recent twrp that can run android 10 from here and then power + vol up without switching slots.

how can i flash a boot.img from twrp? i thought, i can only flash .zips from twrp? Also do i need to take spacial measures to be able to read internal memory in twrp?
//edit: i tried to flash named twrp but it wouldnt boot up into recovery, instead went straight into fastboot. so i flashed boot with stock boot again. no solution in sight.
Just FYI - "no command" is default welcome page of stock recovery. If you see it, you don't have TWRP installed.

Thank you. Still i would expect twrp to open.
Am i using a/b wrong? When i am on slot a and go into fastboot anf fastboot flash boot twrp.img, then i expect twrp to be installed in a, is that correct? Or is it always installed in the inactive slot and thus i had to switch to slot b before i install twrp to have it on a?

No idea with TWRP, never used it on this phone, Magisk is enough for me. But I would follow one of the available guides if you need to have TWRP installed.
