but it was written on the back of the phone "Model: 0PJA120" which I believe it's for T-mobile!!! so confusing !

Pop a T-Mobile sim card and see if works. What do you mean sprint system?
Shutdown phone.
Start in fastboot mode: hold Power + Volume- until it vibrates and release both buttons.
Wait until hTC download mode shows up.
On mine I see:
SECURITY: *** UNLOCKED ***
model: htc_himawhl
CID-11111111
Find your model:
- Himaul or Himaulatt (AT&T, Developer Edition, Unlocked, MID OPJA11000)
- Himaultmus (T-Mobile, MID: OPJA12000), not sure you can get Android 7
- Himawhl (Sprint, MID OPJA20000)
- Himawl (Verizon, MID OPJA30000)
SECURITY UNLOCKED means S-OFF for SECURITY-OFF, otherwise S-ON. With S-ON you can upgrade firmwares but cannot use previous versions.

I am currently residing in a house with several others. Two days ago I left my phone (HTC ONE MAX SPRINT) on my desk and when I returned I found someone had tampered with it. The phone will only boot into Bootloader/Fastboot. When I try to goto recovery the htc logo screen appears for less than two seconds and then loops back to the fastboot screen.
Before anyone asks let me answer the following:
I don't know how it got to this state or what was done to get it here.
When I try to flash ANYTHING I get either signature verification denial, or remote denial
The screen says the following by order of appearance:
***TAMPERED***
***RELOCKED***
T6WHL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
H-Boot=2.40.0000
Radio-1.48.50.0109
OpenDsp=v.33.120.274_T6.0029
QSC=
OS=2/09/651/1
eMMc= boot 2048mb
PLEASE I NEED HELP ASAP family emergency. I spoke with HTC two days and they were very kind and sympathetic but the development team was supposed to contact me with a solution when they arrived at one but I have not heard anything.
I would appreciate any support immensely.

Sounds to me step one try to s-off. Your boot loader is locked and you aren't s-off.

Go to HTC Dev and use your original unlock token to unlock the boot loader. Flash custom recovery. Boot to custom recovery. Then either side load a custom stock rom or put one on your physical SD card and flash it from there.

Thank you...
Hey! Thank you so much for the quick replies.
I must tell you that I have only moderate knowledge and experience when it comes to these issues.
Next, everything I try to do in terms of flashing returns with a signature not verified denial or a remote not allowed denial. I can't flash or otherwise access anything onto the phone.

That's why you need unlock token from HTC Dev. If this is truly your phone, you must know how to do that as this phone is relocked. Meaning it was unlocked before. The failure to fastboot flash anything is due to the relocked boot loader.

You should NEVER post your MEID / IMEI, FYI.
But you're saying your phone has a pin code on it that you didn't put on? The easiest way to get around it would be just to do a factory reset. Trying to get in without doing that would require at least root and USB Debugging enabled, if it's possible at all.
I purchased this phone today. It is network unlocked.. It was on T-Mobile, and now on Sprint.. What I find funny, when the phone was first turned on, up came the T-Mobile Splash screen. Then when I installed my sim card for Sprint, and had it activated, up came the Sprint Splash screen, and all of it's bloat glory.. I did get a great deal as it was new and perfect condition and it only cost me $288 with box accessories etc..
Under dev options, I do not see anything for OEM unlock so I can install either custom roms or debloat this phone of what I do not need.. Model number is SM-G965U. From what I gather that is not a valid Sprint Model number nor T-mobile.. I'm wondering if this was a factory unlocked version, first set to T-mobile, then Sprint when I activated it today.. Total call on this phone was Zero and very little data use..

They are multi carrier. Everytime a new sim is inserted it personalizes for a new carrier. All the us models are the same hardware. There is no OEM unlock. No custom roms locked bootloader permanently. you can root 8.0 only no 9 no 10. Look up extreme syndicate down in the snap dragon section. Please note your model is a g950u or g965u. Not to be confused with the g9600 or g9650 which are snapdragon but of other countries with unlocked bootloader. Cannot be interchanged.

So I assume, that since it is network unlocked, and all the bloat is based off of each carrier.. Will a factory reset get rid of it all. Or do I have to go the adb route? I have no issue with it, but can not stand all the bloat I have always tried to stay away from.. And if you look at it.. It basically is no different than a carrier branded phone.. Once you pay off it, you and have the UICC unlocked, like this phone already is. Put if I had bought a international version, I'm sure it would never have worked here in the US...

You can either root 8.0 to debloat or adb to disable it. Factory reset wont get rid of none of it. The International version o believe supports every carrier except sprint dont have the proper bands. I'm pretty sure it can do verizon. You also have the option of flashing the us U1 firmware which is us unlocked version with no carrier bloat but it still has locked bootloader.
How come when using adb, and I type adb devices it come back with a series of numbers, and then says unauthorized.. I have used in the past and was very simple.. USB debugging it enabled.
Forget it. I figured it out. And debloated this thing just like I want.

Even thought he bootloader is locked, at least the bloat is gone semi.. If I need it back ( will not) I can just do a factory reset. LOL Time to install youtube vanced.
Question cpu z says I have a Snapdragon845. To bad it would have been nice to tweak it, if the bootloader was unlockable.

I'm just about to return my Samsung A52 5G after realizing that the bootloader seemingly can't be unlocked. I did a quick google and thought it was possible, but apparently the North American version is locked.
Now I'm looking at this phone as my next option. Can anyone confirm if the OEM Unlock button appears in the Canadian version of this phone? I'm buying from the OnePlus website, and it says that it is carrier-unlocked (not T-Mobile).
I'm not even planning to root the device or do anything advanced, but I want to have the option to install Lineage later on once I stop receiving OTA updates, assuming that the Lineage devs make a build for this phone.

I believe there's a method to unlock the T-Mobile US version. I asked OnePlus's support, and there was a separate set of instructions for T-Mobile, so they might be able to help you.
I ended up buying the carrier-unlocked phone in Canada, and everything worked out; the OEM Unlock button wasn't blocked or anything. You just need the fastboot and adb drivers for the device, as usual.
There's a way to get oem ungreyed, read aroud
Even OEM and SIM unlock are separate, you have to have SIM unlock first before enabling OEM unlock.
Units sold directly from OnePlus.com is SIM unlocked.
Hello Everyone,
I have a questions about Flashing the Verizon XT2041-7 Moto G Power with a Retail version (XT2041-4).
The problem: Verizon claims the phone is "unlocked", but the phone is currently still "Subsidy Locked", and I am unable to use the phone on the ATT network. I contacted Motorola, and they can see that the phone is still subsidy locked, and I need Verizon to provide the Subsidy Unlock Code. Of course, Verizon refused.
Now I am stuck with a phone that I seem that I cannot use on the ATT network.
I have been doing a lot of reading about flashing images, and the potential consequences of the hardware being different (i.e. different frequencies etc).
My questions are this:
1) Is it true that I will not be able to use the phone on the ATT network unless the subsidy unlock is completed?
2) If I flash the RETUS image for XT2041-4 onto this Verizon phone, will it then start working on the ATT network with my H2O sim card, and my problem solved? i.e. is the hardware identical between the XT2041-4 and the XT2041-7?
3) I have tried flashing following the instructions on this forum, but get a variety of "preflash validation failed" and "not allowed on locked devices" messages. I assume the bootloader must be unlocked (i.e. through the code provided by Motorola on their bootloader unlock page). If I unlock the bootloader, will these problems be solved - will the XT2041-4 image flash, and work properly, or does this open another can of worms?
4) H2O wireless refuses to support me because the phone shows up (based on the IMEI) as XT2041-7, and is not on the ATT supported list, but XT2041-4 is on the list. If I manage to successfully flash the XT2041-4 image onto this phone, will I be able to get support from H2O to get the phone working, i.e. how do they see that the phone is no longer XT2041-7, and thus unsupported on the ATT list? Will they somehow see that the phone is now XT2041-4?
Any additional advice, solicited or unsolicited is welcome.
Thanks for your help.
