Just been to samsung store, because I really wanted to do this short speedtest... Launching apps like google, youtube and other preloaded stuff. Believe or not Axon is as fast if not in some cases faster then S8, except camera where s8 is king.. Both devices in performance mode, axon on 7.1.1
So if u wanted to switch to S8 becouse of better performance, its not worth it. At least for now
I agree, from early tests the difference in performance of the S7 (which is more or less fast as the Axon 7) vs S8 are really small, so yeah it's not worth it this year.
Samsung can't be faster with touchwizz. Except for a smartphone type with an i7 extreme cpu with an Samsung 960 pro m2 SSD.

Any of you doing this? I am going to change my J5 for 2016 version, mainly because of Nougat.
And the J5 2015 version development has pretty much stopped completly.
I mean, like full stop

If J5 2015 development is stopped that means J5 2016 development stops aswell. You can see that 90% of their roms are ported from J5 (5).
And no, i wouldn't change it only for nougat since it will be crappy(same as every update touchwiz has), but i'd do the change mainly for more storage and ram.

More ram, more storage, newer software, hmm why wouldn't you upgrade?
Anyway, Nougat is running so much better than Marhshmallow, perfomance is awesome.
Edit: and it just costs meike 20 euros for an upgrade

you better get a motorela G5 + for that price the dev is a lot better and it's sure to get an official near stock oreo , and touchwiz nougat will be utter crap unlike the already available nougat that are bugless ( except BT audio ), and the dev did not stop

No man, in my country there is no motorola, that means if i break it somehow ( if i need replacement like screen etc. ) it will cost me hell a lot of money.
And no, i have used friends J5 2016 with Nougat, and it is awesome, feels like an S6, perfomance is awesome, so yeah..
And one more thing, Samsung is doing great job making it software better, every new software from samsung is more elegant and sleek.( i assume you have a mid range device like our J5, and you expect to get hell of a perfomance from 1.5 gb of ram phone, and 8 gb storage lol

I already did that, I am on J5 2016 right now and I'll provide KRAKEN for it even if it gets NOGUAT or not . The phone is pretty good, feels like AN A5 just without LED buttons and new OS

Go for j5 6 if you want, but you know after it gets N, it wont be supported by sammy anymore, and also its pretty much the exact same phone as j5 5, if we dont count the ram and some other little changes
And also, theres gotta be someone who will port tw n for our j5 (not me, im noob)

You know this will sound stupid, but I have a Pixel and a J5 2016 and I am using the J5 with RR as my daily driver. Its because I work alot and the battery is better on the J5
So Amazon has a good deal on a renewed Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus exynos variant which i am thinking about buying but i heard there are issues with rooting and Gcam not fully working that is the reason wanted to get some opinion about should i buy it or not

Yes, totally. I got it a couple of weeks ago and I love it. Battery life is fixed. Though mine is an S9+.
If You want to root particularly in S9 then go for exynos,Gcam is not so good in exynos.I would suggest to go with Oneplus 7 in this price or little extra.SD is far better than exynos & will have rooting options too
