[Q] Instagram fullscreen - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

There is this annoying problem when I am watching Stories on Instagram that the images are cut off on the bottom. Its because of the Navigation bar. People post their stuff in 16:9 ratio and because the Nav bar isn't hiding the ratio of Instagrams surface is like 14:9 and I am not able to see the bottom part where they often write some text and stuff. So how can I make Instagram Fullscreen? I tried apps like GMD immersive Fullscreen to hide the Navigation bar but Instagram isn't adjusting to it and leaves a black bar at the bottom.

Problem with Snapchat and Youtube App

Hi everyone!
I am running the Beans rom, and whenever i load up the snapchat app, there is a white band above the navigation bar and below the status bar that does nothing. Kinda seems like the pp doesnt support this big of a sized screen.
This is also kinda true with the youtube app. When i switch to landscape and back into portrait, the navigation bar of the youtube app doubles up and covers some of the video (only in portrait)
Is this an inherent problem with the S4, or can this be fixed?
Let me know if a screenshot will help. Thanks everyone!

Google pixel Immersive, constantly shows/hides Nav Bar and Notification Bar

I recently bought a used google pixel. I tried setting immersive mode with an app i downloaded called fulscrn. However when I initialized and gave permission to draw on top of other apps, it keeps hiding and showing the nav and notification bar. Its almost like taps are being emulated on the screen every second. Is there malware that is causing this? Here is a video exemplifying this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrqzWH1B2Kc

Immersive mode not working with multi window.

Hello XDA,
im using a Axon M and a Samsung S8+ S7.
after using the following command (adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.full=*)
my status bar and navbar is gone this is what i wanted. (more screen left)
here is my problem:
im MultiWindow (or dualscreen on axon m)
chrome and youtube and other apps are black (some elements are visable and looks like its only one side of the screen if i drag one of the black windows to the left side it functions as it should. (example youtube shows comment sections but the video plays but its black if i drag it to left side you see the video playing.)
the S8+ fixed this in the one UI update.
it has to do with the hiding of status bar and navbar. if i restore status bar and nav it turn back to normal.

Hide Googe Gesture Hint Bar?

In Android 10 on the Pixel XL 4, with gesture navigation turned on, there is a thin white hint bar that appears at the bottom center of the screen, presumably to remind users that they can / should swipe up. However, if using the Gboard keyboard in flloating mode (vs. having it docked at the bottom), this causes a very wide black band to appear at the bottom of the screen, which can obscure app functionality. See an example of the text area getting partially hidden in Android's own Messages app, which is attached to this post. Is there anyway to turn off the white bar or prevent the wide black band with native Google gestures turned on?
My workaround has been to use Fluid Natural Gestures (FNG),which doesn't present the problem. If it weren't for this, I'd be fine using the native gestures.
Thanks in advance.

Is it possible for the navigation bar on a Samsung S10+ to always be present?

More specifically, when I use VLC to watch a video, the navigation bar is minimized, and I have to tap the screen for it to re-appear. I was wondering if there was a way to always keep it in its position, where no app will minimize it. I have already installed the Nav Bar application to customize its colour and some of its behaviour. However, I can't seem to find a modification for the navigation bar to do exactly what I want. I want the navigation bar always to be present because I have dead pixels in the bottom left corner of the screen. By keeping the navigation bar black and always on, I will never notice the dead pixels.
