Hey there,
So my One X+ has been on the CM 12 for about 1 year now, but 5 days ago I was updating the apps from the google store as usual and then my phone rebooted.
It started Preparing apps, then the phone turned on. I got the message "Unfortunately, Trebuchet has stopped”, I get an empty desktop and after 15 seconds or so the phone reboots and start the process all over (preparing apps).
Any idea what I can do to fix the issue without resetting the phone?
I found this thread here but the problem is i dont have enough time in the phone to get to safe mode.
Sorry I am not the most skilled when it comes to dealing with the android platform
Thanks for the help in advanced
Edit: Ok so I Wiped the Cache and Dalvik Cache on TWRP and managed to boot, but the desktop and all the icons are gone, the phone is extremely slow, and as i try to get to the apps section the settings to force stop trebuchet, i get Settings has crashed msg and am sent back to the desktop and after a while the phone rebooted again.
Any ideas?
You can try to install a new launcher via the PC Google store.
Otherwise, try to go to recovery and factory reset.
Or try to flash another ROM. (Viper+)
When in recovery, you can connect your phone to the pc and transfer your files, if you want.

Hello,
Basically, my phone works. I can call, sms, photograph and so on, but:
When I try to flash new rom, via Kies, Odin or other tool everything goes smoothly, blue progress bars advance and complete, phone reboots, and ... I have old rom, nothing is changed, no data is deleted.
When I install new apps they work until I power off phone. After power on new and updated apps are gone, deleted SMS are back, it looks like the phone inside was frozen in time some time ago and all that is going on is going in ram or some virtual machine, and vanishes.
It happened some weeks ago, I cannot recall when exactly. Something I installed was suddenly missing and SMS after reboot came back, but I ignored it then like a sporadic glitch.
I just discovered, that I also can't do factory reset. System recovery <3e> shows, but doing wipe data or wipe cache has no effect. Nothing gets wiped, apps and data remain intact. The only unusual thing I see in the recovery console is:
Can't access to '/system/csc/PLS/system/'
Is it a virus or is it just broken or what?

I suggest doing a deep clean...
Hey
So this old i9000 phone came with some Horrible bloatware I wanted to get rid of.
I flashed a stock Rom with Odin, (I've done it many times before on a different i9000)and Wiped Data and Cache afterwards, And 3 different Roms give me this problem:
When the phone finally initializes, Everything keeps Stopping unexpectedly. I've tried to get to enabling ADB to maybe view the logcat but I can't even get to the settings.
I did notice in the recovery mod an error that said something about System/CSC/CEL/system not being accesible (And i'm surprised it's still there after 3 flashes, CEL being the CSC for the bloatware company)
What do I do?
Currently on Stock rom with stock recovery.
Edit:
Okay, I have managed to race through the crashes, Launch the Home app, and enable ADB... so we have that now... "ADB devices" Shows its connected.
Edit2:
They all crash with "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:" Right now Home screen is working but anything i try to run crashes
Edit3: It's like the old Gmail account is HARD CODED to it, What the hell? 3 rom flashes and countless factory reset, The account is still there, I cannot get rid of it.
First off all, I'm not sure if this question is answered else where.
I have my S2 almost since the day it came out in NL.
Today a problem occurred. After I boot my phone it keeps rebooting the launcher (not sure if that's the correct name). The phone it self stay's on, I don't go back to the Samsung logo or what else - just Android it self keeps rebooting.
I run Go Launcher Ex for a long time, never had problems with it.
I assume it's a memory problem.
Had a similar problem about a year ago, where my internal memory was stuffed. After removing some apps etc. my phone was just fine again. Problem today is I cant do anything. Connection with pc fails, because of the rebooting software. I'm not even fast enough to get to the Android settings.
Edit: I tried booting in Safe Mode. Which works, till it reboots into normal mode.. and keeps rebooting. And of course there's no time to get something done in safe mode.
- Phone get's really hot when this all happens. An other indication for a stuffed memory(card) I think?
- Removed the SD + SIM, no changes.
Edit:
I was quick enough to change the launcher to something else (i believe Nova, via Home Switcher). Then reboot my phone in Safe Mode with Nova on, then the reboot of the software starts again.. and it forces itself into Go Launcher Ex without Safe Mode.
Thanks in advance,

Go to recovery and wipe cache and wipe dalvik Cache. If still not working then do Factory Reset. If the problem is still there than flash the rom again.

As my main goal was to get my data from the phone I suprised myself a lot and I'm copying as we speak the whole /emmc/ via SDK tools.
It's gonna take a while - I assume it's copying the whole 16GB.
After that I'll try factory reset's etc. and check if I can use my phone again.
I've got a number of Moto G that have been working fine for months. Suddenly, one of them is constantly having apps crash. I'm talking literally every second. As fast as I can close the crash notification popup another one pops up for another app. android.process.acore, com, com.google.process.gapps, dozens of others. A reboot will fix it for a few minutes, but then it goes on a frenzy again. I've tried wiping the cache and dalvik cache with clockworkmod recovery. I've tried uninstalling updates for google play services. I unfortunately don't have a backup created for this device. I would try to factory reset, but the last time I tried factory resetting a rooted Moto G through the android interface it bootlooped. If I can't fix this, is there a way in clockworkmod recovery to "reset" back to just after I rooted the phone? If not, I may be able to copy over a backup from a similar phone, but I'm not sure if that would work.
EDIT: I think this phone might have just **** the bed. Bootloops when trying to turn on normally (unlocked bootloader warning screen, then motorola spinning world graphic, then off). Volume Down + Power in off state does nothing so I can't even get into the bootloader.
Anyone ever get the below? Notes: Phone was working fine ever since I got it. I got it close to when it came out. S9+ on Xfinity Mobile (Verizon). I run Nova Launcher. I haven't rebooted in a long time, so for some reason I decided to reboot. When I did so it says "Phone is starting.. optimizing app XX of 116". It finishes that and takes me to the below message. I've already tried step 1. No luck. I have not erased app data, but tried to get into safe mode using power and volume down button. That did not work.
I guess my only option is to try and Erase App Data?
Android Recovery
Your phone couldn't start normally. Some configuration data may be corrupt. Follow the instuctions below.
1. Try again Restart your phone. If your phone continues to be unable to start, go to the next step.
2. Erase app data Deleting app configuration data may allow your phone to start in Safe mode. Safe mode allows access to basic functions, so you can back up any important data stored on your phone. After backing up your data, a factory reset may be needed to get your phone to start normally.
3. Visit a service center If you don't want to erase your app data or your phone still doesn't start, visit a service center for assistance.
.. and on the very bottom says:
Reboot Recovery Cause is [system_server:8409 RecoverySystemRescueParty]#Support SINGLE-SKU
Block-Based OTA Supported API: 3
PS - The only thing I did today that was new was install a WWE Wrestling game, play it once, and uninstall it. Everything else was normal. Phone, text, notepad software, browse web, YouTube, etc.
So, I tried #2.. selected erase app data from the menu. Took a few seconds and rebooted. Did the "Phone is starting.. optimizing app XX of 116" again. Went right back to the Android Recovery screen.
This sucks because I NEED my phone for work. #1 - it's my alarm clock. #2 - they track when I log in and out and where I go with GPS. #3 - I call back to work during the day.
I can get into "Maintaince Boot Mode" and from there can try a Factory Reset which I am hoping I do not have to..
PSS - I tried to erase cache no luck. Tried to erase app data. No luck. Always comes backm to Android Recovery.
PSSS - Just did Vol Up + Bixby + Power. Went in to Wipe Data/Factory Reset. It's 12:45AM and I need to get to bed. I'm hoping this will at least fix it so I can wake up and get to work tomorrow.
So far it's doing something.. asked me a few questions.. I got past WiFi and it shut off. I didn't know I was low on power.
Sorry maybe I shouldn't have posted if I wasn't going to wait a bit (for an answer) before doing a factory reset. I paniced and factory reset.
Anyway, it's updating everything now. Then I can reinstall everything I need. I did lose all my phone number contacts.
