are you okay bro?
Seriously, kenzo has one of the most disrespectful communities I have seen.
Also, many people here don't understand how xda works.
It's a shame that there is nothing, that can be done about it.
Now I am using nitrogen os oreo and battery backup is very good. It depends on apps you using. If you using an always hungry fat facebook app or another you will never get a good battery backup. I am using lite versions, facebook lite, skype lite and I switched off unneeded permissions so theese apps doesn't use my microphone or location. And about android 8.1, It is not released yet, It is only developer preview. Nitrogen OS started releasing Oreo builds short time after Oreo was released and I think this will happen in case android 8.1. So be patient.
Absurd
Making demands is not the spirit of xda.

Yeah, sure, especially before Nexus phones
First Google nexuses get marshmallow update and usually after 3/4 weeks later other brand's flagships get update

HTC have confirmed that the M9+ is getting Marshmallow, so at least we know Mediatek will give the Helio X10 Marshmallow
How long does it usually take until Miui upgrades to the latest Android version?
Miui 7 with 5.0 came out in August, that is almost a year later.

When the Android version is official, builders normally have 90 days to implement it but this is often not the case

This is obviously a fake. Why are you posting this?
Let's hope we get the Marshmallow update before Redmi note 3 releases.
I wonder if Xiaomi stopped development on the Redmi note when the Redmi note 2 was launched.
I won't get any hope from Xioami. Even now, a lot of bugs in current version haven't been fixed.

Exactly. For example screen brightnes. I opened thread to miui bug section. But nobody cares or stupid MTK's lux sensor sucks and they cant fix it -_-
I read that xiaomi confirm marshmallow for RN2
But i found no date
I hope cyanogenmod make a Rom earlier
*a developer make a rom earlier
Cyanogenmod don't make anything, only developer do it and, if they want, they become a cm official maintainer

Ok, been some time now and I see only one ROM in this forum.. What happened to miui pro and other?
Hello,
So I bought the Pocophone F1 and it's in his way to my house. Probably I will not keep the MIU software and use a rom like I did with my others smartphones. I was looking for a subject where they could detail about the roms and their battery life, because some roms are new to me, but didn't found anything.
Do you know a good rom with battery life improvement? Not sure about lineage, beacause there's too much features that I will not use.
Miui 10 8.11.2 based on android pie.. best battery life.. unlocked your bootloader .then flash Sphinx Kernel by Milouk.. .even the asus rog phone beat the performance..

Have you been trying others rom with the pocophone?
The Sphinx Kernel looks pretty good.
I am flashaholic and i love lineage OS but so far i have not installed any rom for now..im satisfied with the stock rom ( Miui ) maybe in the near future . .. for now i am enjoying Miui. ..Sphinx kernel makes the pocophone beast.. milouk has a good reputation his known for being smart , intelligent and a humble developer back in the days with Nexus device. And lots of users are happy to see him working with our devices so Cheers!!!!
LiquidRemix (9.0) rom have very good battery life. Before I was on Miui 9 latest. LiquidRemix rom has better battery life and performance for me. I saw Havoc rom recent one but I have not try it yet.
I had flashed the los, I felt it had not customisations at all..lol..
I tried nitrogen os..
But now I m using latest global beta..
Currently the miui provides the best battery backup and best performance.. just flash the sphinx kernel..
Battery backup is very good on all roms but best on miui

Well you convinced me! Maybe for roms is too soon, because most of them have something that is not working yet. I always thought that the MIUI was not taking the full advantage of the battery and management was not that good.
When you bought the phone, did he came with the clean stock miui? Or you had to flash it?
Your thought was wrong..Battey management and performance are fluid ...You can install MiuP https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sid.miuilatestupdates&hl=en there's a hidden settings , Go to Power mode and select Performance. .you cant' find these settings to your stock settings , it will activate battery performance. I am using my device for two days moderate usage of gaming , Pubg and Vainglory...i suggest turn off the notification setting with this app because it's very annoying popping up news every 30 mins..Good Luck!!!
Thank You very much bamz1117 for your advice. Once I'll get the phone I will flash the kernel and install the to access to hidden settings.
Your Welcome...Hit thanks if you like @DarkyX_90
All roms have excellent battery backup and ram usage but if you want just a close to stock android rom with minimal features, your best bet would be the Lineage OS. Install a GApps Pico build and you're good to go.
Most of the time I'm on lineage but currently I'm trying out the havoc os and loving its rich customization features
I would, but there's no thanks button
NOS is great for me. Full on stability and it's smooth. I was using MIUI PIE 8.11.8 and thought it's awesome until I flashed NOS rom. Everything is awesome now. Modded gcam does the job well too.
My suggestion would be to try MIUI PIE first and when you're bored with it, try NOS. You won't go back to MIUI ever.
that's fine it's a Q and A poll so you cant find a thanks button.... see this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/how-to/miui-10-stable-global-version-rolled-t3858866
Hey I got today the phone I was already to make everything, and the first thing I wanted to do was to update the miui. I have some questions because I am new with MIUI. On updates I have "10.0.4.0". I presume the " 8.11.2" is from the "developer rom", right?
1 - If yes, can it be dowloaded through the miui update on my smartphone? Or it's like a normal rom with TWRP?
2 - I went to http://en.miui.com/ and I just can found the " 8.10.25" version. Where did you get the 8.11.2?
3 - Any way to know which features may not work with the developer rom?
4 - The "8.11.2" has most languages available, or just because it's an advance version, it's just in english?
@DarkyX_90 Good to know you already have your phone ..this a Q and Q poll ..can you go to this thread so that i can help you out regarding your questions..https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/how-to/miui-10-stable-global-version-rolled-t3858866
Oh yes you right, I am sorry. Let's keep this topic as it is.
If anyone have thoughts about the battery and roms share with us.
It's new as I said I want to install a custom rom and I would love it if you recommended the most stable one. Or best one. Oh just recommend one to me please - I don't want to try various!
Thank you all
U can try following..
Corvous 8.0

Not aware there was oxygen os for it. Thanks man!
Well, first be sure which device you have (curtana or joyeuse), many users are not sure about that cause of the different names for Indian and global versions.
Secondly, it's hard/impossible to say "This is the best ROM out there", cause all have their pros and cons ?
And it also depends what you want...a firmware with MIUI, or without MIUI...with Google apps or without...
And it's good to have also a look on telegram groups, cause there are some devs that don't post their new ROMs here any more.

Joyeuse (I was not aware of the difference hence did not mention it on my post) now that I did some digging I know I have that one.
Without MIUI, the phone I have been using so far is Mi Mix 2S and I really can't see anything on MIUI to recommend it (or like it) and with Google apps. (If I did not want Google apps I would have gone the Huawei route )
Thank you and thanks for the telegram tip!

Hello guys. I'm in pixel experience 11 and while the rom works ok there are 2 bugs for sure. One is that the front "flash" for face recognition works all the time and second the battery issue that start like after a month.
So i want to downgrade to a good android 10 that supports google assistans without push anything and a good kernel. I search 2 days now and I think crdroid 6,12 is the best but I might be wrong. Thank you for ur time!!!

I prefer android 10 and not 12. I'm pretty much sure everything work as should be on 10.

Everything works in A12L also as should be but ok
Keep in mind all A10 ROMs are EOL so you won't find support for them and also most of them won't pass Safetynet by default nowdays.
I still recommend you to consider to move to A12L but it's your choice. There is no reason to stay on old ROMs.
Try Havoc fan edition and Nusantara elts Android 10 roms, both with July 2022 security patch. You'll have to look on telegram for these, but both pass safety net.
Baikal or crdroid ftw
