Hi guys. I was trying to install miui on my phone by twrp because there was a version of aex. When i tried to install the file twrp crashed and my phone turn off. now it can only go in fastboot mode, what can i do? I only want to install twrp and then install the miui. If you know another method, please help me.
P.S. I don't have usb debugging enabled.
Check that your Bootloader has not been locked again.
If unlocked officially, just use Mi Unlock to unlock it again.
Try Flash/Boot TWRP again and proceed with your flashing.
If the above doesn't work flash a fastboot version of MIUI with MiFlash (you may need to use EDL mode)

Edit: - Official TWRP and MIUI don't work well together, you also may need to patch the boot image.

Hi,
I have unlocked my bootloader officially through the unlock tool and wanted to flash a custom recovery and also root my device (Redmi Note 3 - Snapdragon).
I was on Global Dev (6.5.19) before I even started to unlock my bootloader.
After unlock, I was succesffuly able to flash Cofface TWRP recovery through fastboot (well the command prompt didn't throw up any errors and had a success message).
However, when i reboot into recovery (either through button combination or "adb reboot recovery", I just get a screen that shows an image of a phone and USB cable" (similar to the image on the official bootloader unlock tool.
I checked whether the bootloader was unlocked (fastboot oem device-info) and it was indeed unlocked.
I have factory reset and reflashed 6.5.19 (Global dev rom) with MiFlash and this hasn't made any difference.
I also relocked the bootloader with MiFlash Beta and then unlocked successfully with the official unlock tool.
All of these steps still haven't made a difference.
Can someone please advise on the next step to do (as unlocked bootloader is pretty useless if I can't install a custom recovery).
P.S. I also get the same phone and usb cable image when booting into stock recovery
find it weird problem
if you dont, then first just boot the recovery
code:- fastboot boot xxxrecovery.img where xxxrecovery replace your own recovery img name in fastboot folder.
you must success and see twrp recovery
then again transfer img to sdcard and to flash from recovery.
then flash it from recovery and when you reboot ,just swipe to diseable rom to replace it with stock one.
find it really weird ,i did it hundredths of time in my offi unlocked and every time goes fine flashing recovery from fastboot
Hit thanks if i helped
please follow this... it does help for me.

I have the same problem .How u solved your problem?
You can easily flash this one ZCX Twrp. Is the best i didn`t encountered any issue until now. I`ve flashed custom roms and miui roms as well.. The install process is very simple, follow this one https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/zcx-twrp-install-twrp-flash-supersu-t3462448
Hello, I need help with my OPX.
I cannot enter Android or recovery, only Fastboot. Also, Fastboot on my PC can detect my device, but ADB cannot.
I had CM 13 and TWRP 3.0.2.0 installed on it, and now I was going to install LineageOS 14.1. I was first going to update TWRP to 3.0.3.0 because I thougt why not. I installed the new version with TWRPs image flashing and then it rebooted itself to Android. Then I was going to enter recovery again to install Lineage, the problem was that I couldn't even start the recovery. So now I tried to install TWRP with Fastboot, but it told me that the bootloader was locked which I thought was strange since I had unlocked it before.
So I tried to unlock the bootloader with Fastboot using "fastboot oem unlock" which it reported that it did and now I couldn't even enter Android.
But when I use "fastboot oem device-info", it says false to both unlocked and tampered and I still couldn't flash or boot into a recovery with Fastboot.
So now I can only boot into Fastboot Mode.
EDIT 2: Never mind, I fixed it with https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/general/guide-mega-unbrick-guide-hard-bricked-t3272108
Can I remove this thread somehow?
You needed to flash OOS3 ROM or system partion before flashing 3.0.3 and Lineage
Yepp, I noticed. Found out later that it was because of the older bootloader. I had no idea about that before.
hi there,
i have got a redmi note 3 pro that keeps stuck in bootloop.
Tried:
- boot to fastboot
- fired up miflash
- rebooted phone to edl
-miflash recognized phone
- flashed "kenzo" fastboot rom (tried global stable + kenzo_global_images_V7.1.8.0.LHOMICL_20160129.0000.14_5.1_global + chinese stable)
phone remains stuck in bootloop after restart.
Is there something I am missing? Please help me out.
(I guess bootloader is locked, not my phone)
when in fastboot mode, check the state of your device (make sure you have fastboot installed):
-connect device to pc
-open cmd
-type "fastboot oem device-info"
once you know the bootloader is unlocked, open miflash tool and flash the stock ROM. I don't see you need to go to EDL mode. Miflash is for fastboot mode!
how did you not knowing the condition of your bootloader? you should know it in the first place before you do such things.
oh, and make sure the directory of your rom image doesn't have spaces in it (example: C:/Users/Ivan Kurnia/...) (be safe, move it to like C:/Desktop) otherwise it will only take 1 second to flash the rom (which flashing didn't happen)
Thank you for your ideas, I still dont know if bootloader is locked or not, because it is not my phone, I was just asked to help.
However I managed to flash TWRP, now everything is good.

Yes I flashed TWRP in edl mode, then flashed new Rom via TWRP
How to root tedmi note 3
Flash lastest MIUI using MiFlash.
I have a problem.
I have managed to put the phone in EDL mode and with the help of IDT v2 temporarily unlock the bootloader. In this mode I had managed to flash twrp and boot to it successfully. Through twrp and adb I have hex edited the nvme file (guide ) to try and unlock the bootloader for good.
Unfortunately, the phone now can't boot into recovery mode. Only fastboot mode (with locked or unlocked bootloader -through IDT-) is accessible now. Flashing from the fastboot mode (with temporarily unlocked bootloader) is being reported as successful but the phone can't reboot into recovery.
Is there a way to successfully boot into twrp in this state?
Any and all suggestions are welcomed!
Thank you in advance!
To be honest, there are some ways, let's do some simple questions first.
Did you try flashing twrp again?
- if yes and it still don't work, try to extract an stable firmware recovery, erecovery with firmware extractor and try to flash it clean, do an recovery boot try and flash twrp again
Is the erecovery still intact?
- if yes try to recover the phone and retry you whole journey, if this don't work but the recovery can start u need to learn some things and Google them. Before i explain anything its better to learn from sources. Google following things: dload, extracting huawei firmware updates, huawei adb commands. If you are willing to do the dload method u need a usbc to a adapter and an usb stick. A few bucks but any cable will work. At team mt u get the update, extract a complete update and place it into dload, boot erecovery and hopefully it will recover anything. After that twrp and so on. Always double check adb protocols and cables. If anything happens while flashing u will brick the recovery. And u need to redo the erecovery thing.
I'm not that active but hopefully it will help
Xiaomi Redmi 8A
MIUI Global 11.0.7 (PCPMIXM)
Bootloader unlocked
I followed this youtube tutorial
Running the following commands:
fastboot devices (detected just fine)
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
All 3 files were flashed successfully, the TWRP wasn't working as expected, it booted into TWRP but the touch didn't work, so I decided to install another version found in another video (3.3.1-0105 by wzsx150), this worked, and allowed me to install MagiskManager-v7.5.1
Then after booting, I can't turn on the WiFi. When I try to enable it, it just disables itself automatically.
As far as I know, the boot image is the problem, I have another Xiaomi Redmi 8A with me but with MIUI Global 11.0.9 (PCPINXM), it has the bootloader unlocked too, what do you suggest? Can I get a copy of that boot and flash it with fastboot to the device with the wifi problem? may it work? what are the commands to do so? I don't know them and I don't want to brick it
Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

Hi, sorry if I misunderstood you but did you try to install the old Magisk Manager? It's not even Magisk Manager anymore but only Magisk, try to install the latest stable version 25.2 here is the download link.
Exact same issue here.
Unlocked bootloader and had twrp recovery on it
Installed PixelExperience 13 and everything was fine
For banking apps, I installed Magisk 25.2 following official process w/boot + recovery
Flashed patched images using fastboot.
Now I have banks, but no wifi :-/
Any hints?
