Hey all RN3 users <3
Now I'm leaving MIUI stock rom , they did not resolve any bug I report so I decided to go back to Custom Roms .. But every rom here I read replies all complain about issues " Core Issues " indeed .. So should I stick with official as you see it less buggy ! or there is a rom can do the job with no issues !
Thanks in advance mates.
Mostly all nougat roms do a better job than miui . If a custom rom have issues, these will be fixed very quickly, not like the ones in miui, which takes months to devs to fix..
You can use Official Lineage OS, Nitrogen OS, AOSP Extended, AOSIP, there are more good roms to try, it depends only by your preferences and what you expect from that rom. If you want a lot of customizations and stability, you can go with AOSIP, i have it now and it`s very stable and smooth, but that does not mean that others are not as good..
So is it stable with no major issues ? or FC !
Almost all roms are stable with no major issues.
@Kollachi is AOSIP has the option to install fonts :$
I can recommend you to use ResurectionRemix based on android 7.1. This is 4th May 23:30 in my time zone, and I am using nighty build from 2nd May 2017, and have no issues. (except that facebook lite and messanger lite apps not getting notifications until I wake my phone. It can be because i played with battery saving settings. I tried the 3rd May build but fingerprint didn't work, and not tested 4th May build. In shis rom you have a lots of settings and customisations out of the box, and you have Magisk root out of the box, and full substratum support (you need just install it from Google Play). The battery life is as good as on MIUI, so for me it is the best but you should test and decide.
@kuba3351 Thats what I'm talking about , RR builds has many many bugs
LOS14.1 is basic, stable, not a lot of customizations.
AOSPEX, is really stable but sometimes get something like you have to flash the camera binaries for no reason at all, a lot of customizations too. (just came from that)
NOS, is really custom, but i only use it for like 3 hours (i like stock roms)
They're all good though.
Also if you use magisk and don't wanna any problems try to pick one with no inbuild root. (I got some issues with that)
Use RR its also stable and has customizations .i never got any bug ..
Thanks for reply bro , but RR Topic full of bugs !
I flashed AOSIP .. LIKE IT for now 5h xD
AOSPExt has solved camera problem long time ago best rom if you are not bothered about lte network signal
aosip have full oms support, so i think you can install fonts with it.. And among all nougat roms, i found aosip have most stable signal (is based on pure caf) and have a lot of customizations. I haven`t encountered any issue until now
Yes, there are bugs in RR, because it has only testing nighty builds appearing everyday. I don't know why it is not building stable version once a week or once a month, but it is possible to test and find a good build that don't have serious bugs, and you will get a very good rom. You can also use Lineage OS or AOSP because people telling you that these ROMS are stable. It is your decision. I will stay at 2nd May build of RR until June then try to test upcoming builds.
Another intresting thing is Salfosh OS, but it can't run android apps. Unfortunately developer's device was stolen, and development became very slow, because without a device, dev must often ask people for logcat, testing etc. So the rom is not stable enough for daily use, so didn't tested in, but if it will be, and run android apps, it can be the best rom.
@cristiandiaconu6 Yea I like it now its my Rom ^^ crashed one time while pressed system option many time at once
aha I heard about this rom , RR was my best rom for my old Galaxy S2 .. but with RN3 i faced many bugs for the first flash so I left it for good untill they release the stable one , AOSIP lokks good for me now
@milav I will give it a try soon (;
I used LineageOS 14 until with one nightly I was stuck at trebuchet loop, where nobody could help me to get rid of it. Then I tried NitrogenOS and after a few weeks I can say that ROM is really stable and can be used as a daily driver. The only problem I had was that AdAway was not gaining root from built-in root, so I unrooted it and installed SuperSU.
Tried NOS too , good performance but I got bug or two I do not remember so I left it down !
try xaiomi.eu roms global or developper ,all miui roms and miui depended custom roms are better than other custom roms especially AOSP roms
Hi, I'm making a choice of the right ROM which would I use for Android 8. What I expect is obviously smooth performance, stability, substratum support and good perspective for regular updates. What I want to avoid is all Pixel-clones as they have own Gapps and I want it to have independent Gapps.
Being satisfied with RR on Nougat, I'm cionsidering to continue with RR. Because RR has now install issues with Gapps, Im giving a try to crDroid which is only beta but looks to me surprisingly good in all regards. Has cdDroid a known limitations compared to RR or is up to pair, or even better? What I want to avoid is long experimenting with various ROMs nd also often switching from one to another. Thanks for all clues.
I don't care about features or stuff like that in terms of pure performance which is the best?

U mean the debloat module of zip file?
I thought miui eu was already debloated
Miui with latest sphinx beta (available on the telegram group) or wait for the stable version of sphinx
There is nothing call "Best". It totally depends on your usage pattern and how you tweak the device according to your requirement. For some, miui has better battery life, whereas for others, its the AOSP based custom roms. Nobody is wrong. Try all ROMs and see which one meets your requirement. Don't just rely on other's opinion.
Hi there.
So I'm planning on installing Custom Rom for this Poco X3 but I feel Overwhelmed by the number of ROMs being developed for this device. So I am trying to moderate a poll on this topic to discover the most used ROM and why someone use it.
Feel free to vote in this thread and give your comments on this topic!
Best regards,
Vieri Wijaya
Crdroid are good
Please do give your opinion on your favourited ROM if you think it is necessary
That will help the user to determine his/her choice
for me only
crdroid , pixel experience official!
ArrowOS Is the most stable one and the most optimized. Plus it's updated daily with ROM improvements & fixes.
dotos is best for me
If you want to stay away from MIUI, ArrowOS is the best choice.
I'm sick of MIUI as 12.5.1 is rebooting too often and phone calls are also failing now. What is currently the 'most stable ROM'™. I don't want to switch and then notice that the new ROM has its own annoying problems. I already wanted to switch a couple of months ago to ArrowOS and the the OSS problems started for this ROM and many others. I don't need much fancy features, it should just work (Banking, Android Auto, Bluetooth...) and ROM / security updates should be available without the need of a clean flash.
I want to share my experience with my Poco X3 NFC. I found MIUI roms are not battery friendly on this phone, so after the bootloader unlock I immediatly moved to CRDroid.
Good (great in some cases) battery, stable, smooth, with ANX Camera it's perfect.
But on the Jully last build I had random freezes after some time with screen off. Latest build don't boot, don't know why and I wanted to keep my rom and data/storage.
I've flashed StormBreaker latest kernel, and all the little things that were annoying are now gone and my phone is now perfect.
Last week I updated my T225 (3/32GB) to the latest A13 from Samsung (CWAC2). After the update, It seems that my tablet has improved in terms of overall responsiveness and battery consumption. However, after reading several threads from this forum, it seems that the stock A13 is mediocre at best compared to AOSP-based ROMs. But the process of flashing AOSP-based A13 ROMs (thru custom AP) is complex and tedious due to lack of functional custom recovery like TWRP (not to mention the risk of failing and soft-brick). Before I would try these AOSP A13 ROMs, I need to ensure that it's totally worth it.
I am just curious about how this latest stock Samsung A13 ROM compares with AOSP-based A13 ROMs in terms of performance, responsiveness, stability, features, battery consumption, storage space , etc.
Feedback from anybody who moved to AOSP-based ROMs is highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

I'm running pure Google A13/GMS on latest XAR firmware. It is MUCH snappier than stock and has similar, if not slightly better battery life. Limitations I've found are Auto-Brightness does not work, screen rotation does not reorient soft keys, charger stats are not available to apps like accubattery, face unlock isn't available, and charging seems slower. These things are mostly fixable by building overlay files but that's quite a chore. I guess I'm calling the pro/cons a draw.

I recently bought a brand-new Samsung Galaxy A52 4G. Ran it with stock Samsung Android 13, but ultimately got the phone because I wanted to install Lineage OS on it. Have had it running Lineage OS 20 for about a month, and it works better (and faster) than the stock ROM.

Thanks. I appreciate all your feedback.
I've already downloaded what I need to flash AOSP GSIs (including a couple of ROMs) to test it myself next week. Thankfully, there is a much better and simpler way of flashing GSIs using fastbootd. My big thanks to Tom for that (including his feedback from using different GSIs).
I would just like to highlight what ktdt00 just mentioned "calling the pros/cons a draw." Because similar with my own experience, flashing AOSP-based ROMs does not necessarily translate to all positive experiences. There has always been a trade-off to consider. For sure you'll get a snappy, responsive device with AOSP ROMs but along with it are some bugs and quirks here and there that can be annoying -- not to mention the fact that in most cases you'll be compelled to root and install+configure a lot of modules to fix the device to your liking (pass SafetyNet attestation, CTS, widevine L1, banking apps, restore Dolby features, etc.).
My tab is T225 3/32. Little RAM, little storage, old SOC. It needs a lightweight ROM. Im Hoping to find one with more pros and negligible cons.

I don't know anything about widevine but here's my DRM info running the most current TD flashed with fastbootd and rooted with magisk.
