THIS IS A PIXEL² MOD FOR ASUS ZENFONE 2 LASER/SELFIE RUNNING WITH LINEAGE OS 15(OREO)I am VERY excited to introduce to you some new Pixel 2 features, thanks to the developers releasing Pixel 2 apks on XDA!! This begins the era of Pixel 2 mods. While much work remains to be done on Android Oreo, this is an exciting development. Check out those screenshots
Here's my PIXEL² MOD built for Android Oreo! The current status of this mod is still a work in progress. Actually i am working to bring a whole PIXEL² ROM with all PIXEL² FEATURES. But as you know that LineageOs 15 for Our device is still a work in progress so there have some bugs. But as soon as a stable build (BugLess) of LineageOs 15 release for our device, I will Give you a Complete PIXEL² ROM. For now use this..:silly:
Important piece here. Anything flashed is flashed at your own risk. I have not and will not release anything that I have not flashed myself. However, I only release that after testing the mod on my Asus Zenfone 2 Laser running with LineageOs 15. Regardless, you should always backup before flashing anything. Better safe than sorry. To everyone who has asked questions, tested, and contributed I give you a huge thanks.
If you intend on using Substratum, don't flash Pixel Blue Accent Color Mod. I'm working on a simple work around for this.
So as always, make a backup before flashing. I do not have an uninstaller zip made. The best way to uninstall is to backup your system.img in TWRP and restore if to remove the mod.

Common Questions/Issues & Answers/Solutions
Pixel Nav Bar Animation?
-Not yet, still roadblocked on that one.
Pixel Launcher is crashing repeatedly after flashing this mod!
-Go into settings from your quick settings and grant Pixel Launcher notification access.
Not all icons are round?
The problem seems to be in the versions of those apps.
Substratum?
-If you flash the Pixel Blue Accent Color Mod For LineageOS 15 then it may break Substratum. If you want to use Substratum don't flash Pixel Blue Accent Color Mod mod. If you have, then just reflash your system.img to return to stock. But you can still use the Google Pixel 2 Mod.
Notification Dots aren't working?!
-Make sure to enable the Notification Dots too. Go into the Pixel Launcher Settings (tap and hold like if you were adding a widget or changing a wallpaper). In the settings there is a category "Notification Dots". Even if it says "On" tap on it. Make sure "Allow Notification Dots" is on.
Weather is not showing!
-Make sure to grant Pixel Launcher location access. Then give it some time. If you don't want to wait, swiping into Google Now and clicking on the weather seems to force refresh the weather widget on your homescreen.

Hi, I started making my own rom, I'm not very expert in modding, but I try to do my best.
The rom is not ready yet, but I've already made its thread because I want to share my work with you and I haven't lot of ideas and experience, so I need your help.
FEATURES:
Based on Russian stock JB 4.1.2 system (taken from 4pda)
Deodexed
Rooted
Very slim
Faster than stock
Enabled QSlide apps, even in statusbar
Changed bootanimation with one "special"
Transparent StatusBar
Build.prop tweaked
Added Reincarnation Engine Tweaks
Something more that now I don't remember
Added Morelocale 2
Apps removed:
Voice Recorder
Google Maps
Google Street View
Music and Music Widget (replaced with Clean Music, very slim and fast)
LG SmartCard Service
Google TTS
Gallery (replaced with QuickPick)
Weather, Weather themes and widget
Google PlayGames
Google Magazines
Stock launcher and its themes (replaced with Nova Launcher)
Help Desk
Hangouts (you can find it on Play Store)
Google Drive (available on Play Store)
Chrome (available on Play Store)
Google Books
App Club
Stock Keyboard (replaced with LG G3 keyboard)

I haven't released anything because I have some problems, in particular:
BUGS:
Nova Launcher goes on FC (but I think to know how to solve it, I need only time to test it)
Wi-Fi doesn't turn on (I think because of build.prop tweaks)
Statusbar isn't transparent (I don't know why, I modded SystemUI.apk and android.policy.jar, but no results)
G3 keyboard doesn't work (I think to replace it with AOSP 4.2 keyboard)
Now I need you guys, I would like to have some ideas and maybe a little help
As soon as possible I will fix bugs and release NoobROM V1
See you soon for news...

Since you've taken it from 4pda only russian and english languages are present, right? Are front button back lights working?
I have few suggestions for future releases:
-AOSP Lockscreen
-AOSP Dialer app
-Personalization settings for status bar (eg. Potato Statusbar)
-Perhaps AROMA installer
It's great to see someone is developing roms for our phone :good:
Thanks, keep it up!

Yes, only russian and english, but I added Morelocale2 as system app, so you can set your own language in most of apps
All backlights work, even the led of home button
For your suggestion (thank you) :
- I don't know if I am able, I will try maybe
- It's a good idea, I will try
- Yes, but these personalisation make phone slower.. I don't know, maybe I will add Potato Gradient to solve the issue of transparent statusbar
- I think I'm not able to add this feature :/

Since you won't start porting it from L9 II without proper drivers, this is nonsense
I myself also started to cook a ROM for this device, but I think I'll keep it close to stock, like launcher, lockscreen, etc. But this is a really nice start of a project, although I'm not a developer also, if you need assist contact me.:good: Keep it up!

If the rumors about getting a KK based stock rom in July are correct (fingers crossed), then the best thing to do would be to wait for it and then try to debloat it - just like our friend here does with the current stock rom.
And Erpinoob - thanks for the effort. This phone really needs some development efforts just like yours.

Wow looking forward to this
Here's some suggestion:
- Use the AOSP version of Messaging, Camera, Calendar, Lockscreen and stuffs
- SystemUI mods. Very very please :victory:
- Use Trebuchet Launcher instead of Nova. People may like it that way
- Maybe use some Jeeko's PureAudio or PureGraphics
- Adblock and GoogleDNS
I don't know how to help you with the coding or such, I'm just giving you ideas
Oh by the way, I once requested the Transparent Status Bar, but one of the Optima Team member says there's something wrong with the android.policy.jar so I think it's not possible... yet
I'll test it later
Hey there, I have some suggestions-
Use Xperia Z2 or Z3 keyboard
Rename Nova Launcher to Launcherl.apk and put it in system/app(it may work) or use Kitkat Launcher
Zipalign apks
Build.prop tweaks --
ro.scf.lcd.density=220

debug.qctwa.preservebuf=1 - qualcomm device specific
debug.qc.hardware=true - qualcomm device specific

Did you edit wpa_supplicant.conf due to which wifi is not working?
You can remove libwebviewchromium.so from /system/lib
Is this rom for p710 or p715, single sim or dual sim.

I'll have this one.. In case I backport a feature, I'll drop it here!
I will give it a try.
What about the notifications? Did you theme it?
Oh and for the switch in the settings, I think it is a kind of yellow buttons or something like that on Android L. Otherwise, good job.
Just tested on my Moto X. What's not working:
- Settings Panel partially themed (background is still black, not gray like the image)
- Navigation Bar wasn't themed with the new L buttons.
- Status bar icons weren't themed either.
- Calculator wasn't themed as well.
- Whatsapp isn't themed.
- Everything else seems to have worked just fine, I'll update this post as I find more.
The only difference I'm seeing on my Nexus 5 (Stock 4.4.4) is the blue action bar in Settings and the wallpaper/boot animation.
it seems the app is applying the boot animation without even ticking the checkbox for it from within the app , and even after disabling it / uninstalling the app , i still have the Android L boot animation. this makes me wonder if other system files have been also changed which is quite troublesome since it means it's gonna break any future ota updates and will force me to sideload such updates.
can you add a revert/restore feature , or at least give us some info on what exactly is being changed/overwritten with this app.
thanks

I understand your problems.. I use CyanogenMod, I have themed everything based on the files present in it. I haven't made changes in my code for the Module to continue theming if it doesn't find what it has to on your phone.. I cannot make out which file is causing it! If you can attach your Xposed Logs(Xposed Installer -> Logs -> Menu Button-> Save to SD), it would be great [emoji4]

Now it works well! Except that calculator now looks a bit weird (not like before installing this theme, but not like in Android L ), but I don't really mind that. Of course, fix would be welcome .
So I was getting bored and flashed StryFlex v2.0, the Xperience p) was great but I was disappointed to see that CM Messenger didn't change color according to theme accent. No matter what theme I applied it was still cyan blue.
Therefore I present my themed CM Messenger ! (I am just bragging here seriously it is the same CM Messenger with a bit change so that now it gets color from StryFlex Themes yay ! )
Please remember to hit thanks after flashing my mod cause that will encourage me to make awesome mods like this one in future
Requirements:
- TWRP or Philz for flashing zip (haven't tested it on CM Recovery, can anyone try and report?)
- StryFlex v2.0 rom

I was going to do that but figured same color might look good. The calculator app looks kind of weird because of accent color Also I have modified systemui a bit too (for analog clock so that on lockscreen it shows theme color for second's hand instead of red) and I was going to modify calendar app too so that it shows theme color for weekends instead of red but apparently I am missing com.sonyericsson.uxp.apk (the second framework...) to decompile Sony Calendar app. Do you think you can help me with that? I think you might have that framework..

Thanks for reporting I will try to fix it soon (right now my cell is in bootloop thanks to CM12.1 build 0921 so going back to 0919) if you want to you can extract the contents of zip and place system/app/mms/mms.apk from extracted folder to /system/app/mms on your phone using any file explorer like root explorer or solid explorer and set permissions to 644 (rw-r--r--)
Edit: Also make sure the zip you downloaded isn't corrupted, just redownload the zip and give that one a shot. Sometimes for God knows what reason the zip gets corrupted.

Great job! If you want to make it even more sony-like, you can add the smileys from sony ui, like Inceptic did in his lollipop mod. Plus it would fix the bug on stock messaging app that you cant see default android smileys on green background

Haha, I used this on my Nokia N900 and they didn't look as good as I thought they would. When messaging app resizes them, it's hard to see which is which, you have to look very closely and it's kinda annoying

This is for the open Beta's. I'm assuming you got it mixed up with this thread . That's why there is no aroma installer and you are getting the crashes.

Thanks a lot for this. I'm glad that someone took the relay in this.
For those who want dark notification, the developer has no time for that. So you could try installing this substratum theme, if your rom supports it, and just theme the notification tray.

How do you specifically theme the notification tray?
please can you create file to work in 3.5.3 ??
Honor 6X, You can also find this on other forums for EMUI 5/8 devices.
•
New theme for EMUI 5/8 devices, some features are ported to the EMUI 4 variant (ONLY: icon pack and Night Blue Whatsapp color).
LINKS AND SCREENS BELOW.
•
The EMUI 5 version of this theme offers:
+ Material icons picked from three different icon packs
+ Material notification bar icons and material settings icons
+ Dark UI from Dark Mode PRO Theme (on Themes Factory)
+ Custom drawer icon, I replaced the horrible stock one
+ S8 navigation bar style
+ Whatsapp UI: New color for the bar on the top of the screen (Material Blue from Twitter Mobile's Night Mode), you can choose to download the "Stock Whatsapp" variant in the subfolder if you don't like this custom color.
+ Dynamic Calendar
+ and more!

How to apply it
Good theme, though the Black Notification Panel is pretty much the same as the Default Notification Panel, Blue on Black. I'd imagine this is good for a dark settings screen, also a Twitter Dark Blue WhatsApp and some system tweaks here and there. Frankly I'd love to see a black Playstore and black WhatsApp theme!
If maybe a bit more theming, would be great.

Btw, I tried doing themes for other apps, but it seems like that it is impossible to do that without Xposed + root (or Andromeda, the no-root solution for Oreo devices).
I'll try to make that work, but for now the theme is suspended because Oreo is rolling out on many devices (mine included), so I could end up having difficulties in developing an EMUI 5 theme on EMUI 8.

Download the file and move it in 'Internal Memory > HWThemes'.
Then check the Themes app and apply it from there.
Hope this works out for you.

I understand! However I'd like to see if you can make a similar theme on EMUI8! ?

I'd like to make it, but I still have to wait for the update.
Huawei + my carrier (branded phone) = we're in 2018 and I didn't receive Oreo, yet...
Changelog:
3th August 2018:
Thread updated, new version added, links updated.
Confirmed: support for EMUI 8 (zYDarkUI5.hwt tested on P10 lite)
