I wounder if it is possible to tweak in the build prop to get more fps in the 4K video recording?
I use the two 7.1 roms on the two links below on my LG G Pro 2 D838 and everything works great except the 4K recording, if I acitvate the 4K mode the live screen in video mode lags alot and the recorded videos have about only 15 fps.
On the stock Kitkat 4.4 and Lollipop 5.0 the fps is on 30 stable.
I have tried alot of different camera apps and they all give the same result.
So anyone here who can give me som advice where to begin?

Hi,
I have a problem with video recording in each MIUI GB ROM.
Every time during recordinng video freeze for 1-5 seconds.
This problem exist for 720p video recording.
When I try to switch to 720x480 - camera doesn't start.
When I swich to 192x144 - video recording working flawlessly but because of the poor quality - the film is useless.
I have tried every kernel for MIUI v2 Neo/NeoV.
I have tried every ROMs MIUI GB for Neo/NeoV and everytime I have a the same problem.
On stock GB ROMs everything is ok.
I have tried lgcamera to chose best max working resolution but I would like to know is it possible to 720p video recording in MIUI GB ROM for my NEO V?
Best regards

It was SD card problem only!
Hi,have this problem since JB upgrade from ICS, all video files I record come out to be huge. I tryed to reduce resolution in settings and it didn't help.
For example a 10 seconds video comes out to be between 25- 40 mb!!
I went from stock rom to a custom one, my rom now is stable and good but video files I record still are huge.
Any sugestions?
Sup guys , after searching and messing with media_profiles.xml alot, finally i found a fix for slowmotion recording with stock moto camera on cm12.1.
just replace media_profiles.xml i have provided and volla .
these are the changes i have done apart from slowmo -
increased 4k bitrate to 65 from 30 mbps
increased 1080p bitrate to 20 from 17mbps
increased 4k audio bitrate to 320kbps
increased 1080p audio bitrate to 256kbps
image quality to 100%
how to - extract the file and copy it to the /system/etc/ , overwrite and give permission 644. you need moto camera already installed, just install it from playstore.
p.s.- it seems like slowmo isn't working exactly same as stock firmware but it's better than not working , it may work on other roms too i haven't tested yet. Doesn't work on cm13 according to some users and i can't fix it since im still on cm12.1 for obvious reasons
Its working thanks
Works great in NX Nexus rom
Update: CM12.1 Nightly 29 Oct support SlowMo
Nice find
It work for other then X Moto devices too, I test on MAXX, on CM base RR it use the same media profile from X.
Hope you or some one fix the slomo audio. But like you say better working slow then not working... :good:
Will use yours changes on my ROM...

i think audio can't be fixed in slowmo. think of it like this - when you fast forward/ rewind a video in any dvd player or digital player (pc), either audio gets messdup or it gets mute. that's how slowmo works. it records video @120fps and then plays it back at 30 fps. so it will be pretty slow speed audio . also if you open media_profiles.xml you can see it ignores audio settings for timelapse videos. so it can't be fixed without framework changes i guess. no idea honestly .

Hi there, since for about 6 Weeks i have a problem with video recording.
Video recording is choppy and I have framedrops (see the 3 links at the end) when i use FHD and 4K.
On 4k it is even worse. Could anyone please compare my vids with the own recording from another G5? Are there framedrops and choppy video on your G5?
I am am an Stock 10C, rooted, Xposed Framework v86 (Lucky Patcher, Play Store Changelog, Xprivacy, Youtube Adaway, Youtube Background Playback).
What i tried to resolve the issue:
- Cleared camera app's data & cache
- Record only on internal memory
- Switch off HDR
- Change OIS to Steady
- Clean installed 10C withoud Root, Xposes etc.
But the issue still remains. Do you have any hints for me? Could this might be faulty hardware?
Thank you in advance

Could anyone please provide some videos recorderd with a LG G5? I will compare them to my videos to exclude my device is faulty. I've found some videos online, but most of them are edited.
Thank you in advance

sorry for the darkness and the short length but I hope it is enough to determine whether it is choppy or not. I currently haven't installed the 60 fps mod so it is more or less stock what you can see.

hello everyone!!
So i record a lot of videos using the Open Camera app and it is great but the only problem is that it can record a maximum of 30 fps .
I want to get 60 fps videos out of Open Camera app.
Now when i use Gcam to record videos then it allows me to shoot in 60 fps.
So this means that our RN3 is capable of recording 60fps .
It would be great if anyone can help me with this .
Is there any way to get 60 fps in other camera apps???? What should be done to achieve this???
What decides the fps a phone can shoot at??? Can it be tweaked through software????
and yes i have tried it in a lot of rom its same in all of them.
Right now i am using aex noughat rom with stock kernel.
not sure but might be related to camera2 api.
Having used the gcam app for almost two years on RN3, to this day, I'm still wondering why xiaomi hasn't implemented a 60 fps video recording option in the official miui stock camera app...
I have seen several thread here on xda but still i didnt get any satisfactory answers.
And yeah camera2api is enabled and working in open camera as i has all manual control that camera2api provides!!
