- Remove the rear fingerprint reader, replace with underscreen and improved face/retina unlock
- Remove the heart rate sensor
- No curved screen, ideally go back to a more square screen
- Larger battery, smaller motherboard
- Improve the note taking (screen off, etc.), integrate with other apps
- Way better speakers, stereo would be best but bottom and top earpiece low/high is fine (just not great for landscape)
- Better camera, better colour accuracy in all situations
I'm not going to buy the Note 9 so Samsung can do whatever they want.

Same here, I generally keep a phone for minimum of 2 years but not always. I'll definitely skip the 9 & hold out for the 10. I'm betting they will do something big with the 10, hoping anyways & that it'll be good.
Stereo speakers a must and decent quality too
Hifi dac
No curved screen I hate them but keep the aspect ratio
4k display which can be toggled to lower resolution for better vr ect
Dual tone flash and front flash
Wide angle camera instead of telephonic
And the usual upgrades :good:
I really wish they would go back to a flat screen like the Note 5. Also would be fine with a slightly thicker phone for a bigger battery, (even tho current battery lasts me all day). Keep the headphone jack and sd slot. And yes audio is the next spot for innovation. Samsung has really just let this sit at a sub par level. Not to worried about 4k , want them to keep the Note more business like.
Sent from my Galaxy Note8 using XDA Labs
Fingerprint reader in middle .
Fix lag
No excuse for small battery. Coming from mate 9, note 8 is pathetic with battery life.
Add a switch profile mode from the lockscreen using your fingerprint like what's on the Mate 10 so if your chick wants to see your phone you can cover your tracks
triple camera- 16mm, 26mm and 52mm. lol

That's great so now Kwon Oh-hyun doesn't need to go thru you for future development.
4K HDR 120hz OLED display and true front stereo speakers.
A BL unlocked Snapdragon version that we The Peeps in the US and Canada have a choice to buy. Also a price that reflects the $800 and below level a bigger battery and kill Bixby!!!
Id also ask for 256GB and 512GB memory size with sd card slot.

Don't do nothing that u have to cover ur tracks
remove bixby button, larger battery (5k), headphone jack, camera like in pixel2, smaller size (like note5), stereo speakers with good bass
I wish icon to call bigger from people edge panel ! Like S6 edge ... with large panel !!!!
A sapphire screen option (Please!)
Good stereo speakers
Unlimited [email protected] video recording
More internal storage
A flat screen
A usable fingerprint scanner
A Dual Sim option which doesn't take up my microSD slot
An IR blaster (yes, really )

For me, a removable battery and a super beefed up camera, and an improved software and UI/UX experience would be top priority
move the fingerprint sensor to the front!
Replaceable battery would be nice but unlikely.
IR blaster.
Do something with make the screen more scratch resistant or come up with a screen protector that just works!
Ditch Bixby.
Decent speakers.
1. Fingerprint on power button
2. Larger and Replaceable battery, if it can still be waterproof else Stick with Large battery
3. Better Speakers
4. IR and FM Radio.
5 Real like BB keyone.(unbreakable)
-120 hz refresh rate on screen
-4000+ mah battery, I hope in the range of 4500. While i know this wont happen, one can dream
-Dual front firing speakers
-No curve edge or rounded screen corners
-fingerprint either in middle of the back or in the screen
-more wide screen rather than taller.
- slightly larger display. An extra 0.1 inch will still be manageable.
- a variable 120hz display
- a redesigned more solid/premium feeling s-pen

Honor 10 WishlistThe Honor 9 was a big improvement over the Honor 8, taking many people's criticisms and implementing new features to fix them. For owners of the Honor 9, what are you hoping to see in the next installment of this phone line? What can the Honor 10 do to be even better?
Here are some things I would like to see in the next phone:
1440 x 2560 Resolution
Android Oreo
3500+ mAh battery
Improved selfie camera
Water resistant
What would you like to see in the Honor 10?

Forget snapdragon, honor will never use something other than kirin chipset in its higher end devices
Honor 5x has tons of ROMs because of SD
I hope for SD.

If they don't add it , it would be definetly a failure.
For me definately:
1. Optical Image Stabilization
2. OLED Screen
I want a side mounted fingerprint scanner/power button.
That would be awesome
Many of are not fans of side mounted fps.by side mounting it was is difficult to use other hand finger.
Honor 9 is a great phone and after two months still a pleasure to use everyday.
I would like the Honor 10 to have almost exactly the same design as Honor 9 which is beautiful, but transposed onto the body dimensions of the Honor 6x, with a 5.5" screen with 1440x2560 resolution. This size will allow a better battery life. Keep the fps where it is on a front home button. Update the chipset to Kirin 970, go one generation better for Gorilla Glass (I believe this means updating to Gorilla Glass 3), waterproof that, and I will definitely buy it.
keep the dimension, if possible increase battery capacity, ois and oled screen for better low light and better battery life. oh, and stereo speaker? wait, waterproofing too.
Narrow frame
Top and bottom sides have big parts than it needs.
Screen body ratio is terrible for this quality
Front facing stereo speakers
What I would like to see on the Honor 10:
Screen:
- same size, I like one handed usability
Body:
- metal unibody for better heat dissipation and less fragility
- waterproofing would be nice
- headphone jack is a must
- fingerprint on the back, for smaller bezzels, maybe
Camera:
- at least f/1.9 aperture, for low ligh, same sensors, same autofocus
- OIS
Performance:
- Kirin 970
- 4GB RAM + 64GB flash should be enough
- again, heat dissipation
Software:
- at least two years of constant updates.
- this is the biggest flaw of Huawei devices, the lack of updates after the first year. And it's becoming a bigger issue, as time passes and bad reputation grows. Get your **** together Huawei
Misc:
- IR blaster is always nice
-in order to keep the price in the same range of sub 400 Euros, I'd keep a similar battery, screen, fast charging options, maybe even USB standard, stereo speakers and other fancy stuff. If you're into that, go for the Huawei P or Mate series
- I feel that as long as the latest Honor device outperforms last year's Galaxy, while keeping a low price, it should do ok. And yes, except for waterproofing, I believe the Honor 9 is a better device than the S7
18:9 display aspect screen since it's the new trend.
Improved audio ( since huawei has been rated the lowest quality of audio output).
Stereo speakers.
Rest what you said.
I hope Honor/Huawei listens us.

That is probably never gonna happen. As the Honor is owned by Huawei and they do prefer to use their own HiSilicon Kirin SOCs. Which is much better than Qualcomm's Snapdragon's range of SOCs.

According to the following news article,
https://www.gizchina.com/2017/11/17/sony-h8521-pro-a-appears-gfxbench-next-flagship-sony/
Sony might be finally preparing their long overdue rival to the biggest phones on the market aka the real Phablets. It appears we may finally see the successor to the Xperia Z Ultra, which was my first real phablet and then I switched to Huawei P8 Max and now with Asus ZF3U but I think Sony's new phone if it becomes real in January's CES or Feb's MWC 2018 will be a game changer.
I still like my ZF3U but I always thought that the top and bottom bezels could have been reduced to accommodate a larger screen, possibly with a bit of a curve without compromising overall size of the device beyond 7.5" inches (the most ideal Phablet size)
It appears with Sony's new design language changes coming and the claimed size of 7.4" the new device will most likely be my next phone. I hope someone from Sony or Asus will listen and make the next big phone bigger without big bezels and better with flagship specs. Here is what I want to see in the next ZF3U or a Sony XZU Sucessor:
-7.4" 2k or 4k bezelless display preferably with 3D and AR capabilities and dedicated display options, in menu for dpi and other adjustments.
-QC SD 845 CPU
-128GB OR 256GB ROM
-6-8gb RAM
-Dual Sim with dedicated 2nd sim slot-non hybrid slot
-MicroSD card expansion
-Dual front and dual rear cameras positioned in the centre without a bulge to protect the lens and possibly with ZF3 AR style surround for better visuals or with a protective slide cover.
-3.5mm Audio Jack- yes it is a basic feature but we need to keep it
-NFC and IR Blaster (basic features that should now be common and not a wish in this day and age- still not sure why the ZF3U does not have NFC enabled)
-4600 or higher mah battery with quick charge and wireless charge
-Quad Speakers Positioned in all corners or 2 speakers with one on top and one, on bottom with at least the same or higher quality and loudness of the ZF3U
-A STYLUS Pen Integrated into the Phone is long overdue.
-Android 8.1 Near Stock UI with customizations similar to Flyme OS and with the best of the Huawei and Samsung implementations and side menu implementation in phone and all app settings-very useful for navigating settings in an app or phone.
-Dedicated Fingerprint scanner on the rear centre of the device as well as all the other locks such as pin, face, retina, iris etc… . bring it on.
-Dual Type C Ports (Charge and HDMI over Type C)
-Dedicated QWERTY Keyboard Dock style accessory with similar functionality to that of Samsung Dex or Huawei's Mate 10 style display over HDMI.
Thats it from me, enough wishful thinking. Hope somone from Sony, Asus or Huawei reads too. Now lets hear what everyone thinks! Enjoy!

I hope to see a new huge screen phablet with proper band support but I think only Xiaomi will do even with no full support of bands.
I just got my ZenFone 3 ultra to be sure that I will have a big screen phone until something good come to market.

Hey everyone. Poco f1 has been a revolutionary smartphone. Judging by Flipkart's offer, the F2 is around the corner. Tell me ur expectations. What would you like to see differently in the 2nd gen poco??
Personally, I would like to see
> An Amoled display( A differentiating feature between flagships and killer. So an Amoled panel is a must to bring it to terms with other phones)
> No notch or dew drop notch( I think the ir face unlock can be skipped, I'll even take big bezels instead of the notch)
> A 5000mah battery( a bit greedy but it makes sense for a phone which is going to come with SD 855 and liquid cooling. Big battery. Longer gaming sessions.)
> Finally an aggressive price tag like the F1. 25k would be the sweet spot considering a newer chip and a switch to amoled.
Very excited for F2's launch. So what do u guys think??
NFC + amoled
I think nfc is a bit far fetched
a touchscreen that works properly out of the box?!
AMOLED screen (Widevine L1 support would be appreciated!), teardrop notch or full-fledged top bezel, and less rounded corners. If the F2 really needs to have rounded corners, I'd rather have them be tastefully done like the Redmi Note 5 Pro or the Oneplus 6. The current corners are atrocious.
I vote for OIS on camera....
Better Quality Checked
QHD
AMOLED screen
EDL mode
Removable Battery
IR
Verified Boot support
Ois and oled
Amoled screen
As long as it is not **** like Poco f1 it will be OK. NFC?
NFC costs pennies to implement. Why not?
AMOLED screen would be nice, ir blaster too.
Keep the micro SD slot.
4000 mah battery is nice, but why not go bigger?
It won't be waterproof, but that would be nice
The f2 will face stiff competition though, being up against the very aggressively priced Lenovo z5 pro gt, which itself reminds me of the mi8 to the Pocophone F1.
Amoled screen, nfc ,ois, sd855, tiny hole selfie camera, wide angle camera on backside instead of deep sense, and aluminum frame. And also keep headphone jack, microsd card support, led notification.
Ip68 water resistant and glass body for wireless charging is unnecessary for most user.
Poco F1 + smaller notch + NFC + same price + available within next three month = instant buy
OIS + Waterproof
now that leaks are pointing towards a sd 845, i seriously hope that a plus or a pro version exists with better features and base price of 25k
The one that leaked in geekbench has the sd 845 and not the 855. I’m sincerely hoping this is not the f2 but I wouldn’t mind if there is a plus version.
Firstly, the regular poco f2 should stick to lcd, 4000 mah battery, and same camera with telephoto or wide angle. This model should come in 6/64(20k) and 8/128(23k) only.
Secondly if there is a plus version and I do think there will be one. It should come with amoled, 5000 mah battery and slightly better cameras. This model should have 3 variants. 6/64(25k), 6/128(27k) and 8/256(31k).
I think this pricing makes total sense. This way they have a super cheap option like the f1 and also a much improved one while also staying substantially cheaper than one plus 7(around 40k)
Something that I want common for both is an unobtrusive notch(dew drop or punch hole), qc4(maybe), nfc(if xiaomi is serious about european markets coz it doesn’t matter in India, I would love to see a metal back or glass but plastic makes most sense( maybe kevlar coloured variants or just go the blackberry route with super grippy backs), less rounded corners(more elegance please) and keep the good stuff from the f1(aggressive pricing, headphone jack, good custom development, liquid cooling, skip ir face unlock and stick with physical fingerprint sensor(coz indisplay one is still finicky and slow)stereo speakers(a little better) and micro sd support).

I know the screen on poco f1 is not good. But QHD is too costly and I don't see it being done simply because none of the competition is doing it. Also, isn't a 1080p amoled cheaper than a QHD IPS? The sensible upgrade would be a 1080p amoled. But if they wanna go extremely competitive they should go for a good LCD display. Even the ones on Redmi's had no issue.
Moto Maxx was awesome for its time, but I don't think now's the time for QHD under 25k.
IR blaster is a welcome addition. I loved it on my Mi Max and no one is doing removable batteries anymore. I would love to see them make a comeback but as there is such an emphasis on design nowadays that manufacturers opt for sleek devices.
OIS Camera

NFC is useless in PH, but why not

Having opted for a Mate 20 Pro (presumably because of things like battery life, cameras and in-screen fingerprint reader) and now that we're entering the 2019 release cycle (Galaxy 10's incoming, P30 Pro not too far away) what features do you want in your next phone?
- Hole punch camera or slider, or are you happy with a notch for proper facial recognition?
- An ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint reader?
- Better rear cameras with higher optical zoom?
- Drop the curved screen?
I'm talking about physical features rather than software related things like EMUI & locked bootloaders but, on that note, would you go for another Huawei knowing what you do about the M20Pro?

I think thats all, every spec in a smartphone nowsdays is more than enough. The only thing left is to take all of it and do it right with quality standards.

I'd like to see dual monitor support via HDMI when connected to EMUI desktop mode. (1920x1080)+(1920x1080)=3840x1080.
Also, if the EMUI desktop mode could permit direct SMS text messaging via desktop mode similar to that of Samsung DEX mode.
Ubuntu Linux on Huawei EMUI
I would like to see flagship phone that is less fragile. If phone like M20pro have charger this fast so wireless charging is not a necessity, at least give me an option for aluminium back. Also a phone with less or no compromises with under 1k price. I personally don't care about gimmicks like s pen or reverse charging etc. IR blaster is cool, I use it all the time. That's why I chose M20pro vs Note9.
My next purchase will be very carefully considered and almost certainly not a Huawei. Mainly because I have faced touchscreen lag on the P20 pro and now the Mate 20 Pro. Also the P20 Pro monochrome sensor made night mode much much better than the Mate 20 Pro so I think Huawei have lost their advantage. I used to do pitch black or very low light pin sharp night mode shots on the P20 pro, but in exactly the same scenario on the Mate 20 pro, you have camera shake which ruins the shot.
As for my next phone:
High touch screen response / sensitivity / low ms.
4-5,000 mah battery with battery life to match (12hrs SOT)
Flat screen (Screen protector friendly)
Pin sharp selfie camera (such as Pixel or One plus)
3D Face unlock
No pinhole selfie camera
Excellent video recording (stereo and handles concert scenarios)
Excellent low light camera, and fast shutter speed for indoor / pets etc (ala Pixel 2)
Powerful, loud stereo Dolby atmos speakers.
As I go along I feel this is never going to happen. This above is a mix of the Razer phone 2 and the Mate 20 Pro.
I know its late for first impressions, since the phone was released 1 year ago and motorola has released "an upgraded version" (honestly cant see much of an upgrade apart for the 144hz oled, more so mostly downgrades), but i just got it in a, in my opinion rather good, deal from lenovo directly for 499e new.
Ill start with negatives first as there are rather few that i saw until now.
Most of them have to do with the curved display:
1. The edges are extremely curved, have color distorsion and the part of the display is there but unusable for reading, hence the real estate is smaller as advertised. The display is not optimally calibrated, is slightly blue and you can change it manually (like on samsung or lg phones)
2. The aluminum frame at the side is slightly protruding from the the rest of the phone, so when holding it with one hand its somewhat annoying/irritating, almost painful when holding it for prolonged times. Somewhat slippery with dry hands. No protective casing.
3. As far as i can tell the camera isnt able to do more than 120fps in slow motion (i dont think its 240fps), even if i try with gcam only 1/4 works, with 1/8 not working. This is quite the schocker as most other sd865 phones can do 960fps, or at least 240/480fps
4. Gcam (7 and 8) works good with the main and the tele camera, but fails with the ultra wide (white dotted lines/raster on the whole image). The good thing is, the stock camera seems to be a modified gcam version.
5. apparently only 2 OS updates (one being Android 11, so only 12 coming) / but on the bright side, the edge 20 pro will get only 1 ^ ^ Naturally its not as good as Samsung or Google but its for half the price.
6. No custom Roms, apparently bootloader unlock damages the FP function (not sure if in android 11 as well)
7. Only single sim - at least the international variant. No SDcard
Positives
1. The phone feels really solid in the hand. It is a real premium feel. Entirely comparable to the samsung note series
2. The battery life is awesome. Currently at 42% and over 5 Hours SOT
3. The main camera and the ultrawide make great photos, the tele is somewhat underwhelming (zoomed in main photo, has almost same detail as the tele picture native)
4. 12GB ram, 256GB UFS 3.0, USB 3 connection, Displayport/HDMI support all for 499e
5. The motorola desktop experience, works like samsung dex, really useful gimmick
6. doesnt heat up much, consistent performance
7. 90 Hz display, doesnt eat up as much battery and subjectively its not different to 120hz
8. The moto gestures and functions are absolutely awesome. Especially the Peek Display. I really missed this from the moto z i had and sold a few years ago.
9. loud stereo speakers, though they could use a bit more bass and less mids and highs. There is some kind of equalizer which doesnt seem to have too much effect though.
10. For me with smaller hands the width is perfect for single handed use, both left and right sided. Though because of the high display its sometimes hard to press things on the top.
11. Almost no bloatware (except for the google bloatware) so basically as if you would be getting a pixel phone.
12. Bootloader unlockable.
13. 3.5mm Headphone jack.
14. Charger and headphones in the box!
Will be adding things when i use it more. If anyone has questions i can try to answer them. And if anyone doest agree with me, bring it up so i can try it out.
