I have a redmi note 4 mediatek. Its miui version is '' Miui global 8.0 stable. 8.0.5.0.0 MBFCNDG ''. I dnt receive any update in updater app. I tried to update by recovery rom in choose update package but it shows cant verify update. 2nd problem is i have no 'Oem n unlocked entry in developer option'' for that i cant unlock my device. can anyone help me? I came to this forum in search for help with mi xiaomi redmi 3 pro.
I bought this phone a few weeks ago, and so far i'm really very happy with it, but unfortunately the rom installed has not my language completely, some parts are in PT/BR and aome in english.
So I would like to install the EU rom that has the full portuguese package included.I have already taken the first steps.Asked to xiaomi permission to unlock bootloader, which was already granted, but this step is my firs problem.I follwoed all the instructions connected the phone in FASTBOOT mode to the PC but whenever it reaches the 50% I get a message saying: "couldn't verify device-not connected to MI phone.try again"
Someone told that this is because I don't have the CHINA DEV installed, and this is my 2nd problem.I have downloaded the last china developer to my phone, I go to config-update-choose update package then I select the downloaded version, but then again I get the message error : can't verify update !!!
And this is it, i'm really blocked !! what to do ?? do I have to root my phone using something like KingoRoot and lose my warranty ??

Try this modified bootloader and then flash xiaomi.eu ROM
sSo if I understood it right I have to do this:
Installation :
1. Unrooted device
- download file ido-TWRP-3.0.2.0-miflash.zip
- extract and flash using miflash in download mode
this will also install official TWRP 3.0.2.0 to the device
and next step I have to instal the xiaomi.eu rom. right ??
Ok after reading a lot I found that to do that I need a PC with a 64 bit windows (mine is 32 )
Besides that for any strange reason I can't onstall the drivers !!!

I already got the official unlock permisson with the sms after submit for the unlock, and i would like to unlock, install twrp and put xiaomi eu weekly or RR cm 13 rom, the problem is that i cant unlock from official method, it fails on 50% saying counld't find the device and already tryied to flash global dev and global chinese via phone app and didnt change anything.
already installed adb drivers, disable driver signature, enable oem unlock and adb on phone.. nothing done...
please some help to unlock this?

Connect your phone to the computer and run "adb reboot edl" in the command line, then flash the latest China Developer ROM using Miflash.
Login into Mi account on your new ROM and try to unlock the bootloader with MiUnlockTool.

I ordered one for my daughter, and now I see it's actually a Redmi Note 3 (bit more expensive and different at the back).
==> So i'm busy checking out how to flash, I got the official sms to unlock the locked bootloader and the first part goes to 100%, but theb I have another error : "Current account is not bound to this device!"
I'll guess some more errors will follow seen this long & difficult process
I dowloaded the latest miui_MI6Global_7.8.10_024aaf1afd_7.1 of this week, but now I need to get rid of that error & locked bootloader.
Do I need to flash an old beta rom first or something to get rid if this error message ?

I am a bit confused. You are trying to flash your Redmi 3 (ido)?
Because the ROM you say you've downloaded is one for Xiaomi Mi 6...
Could you provide some information (screenshot of your 'about phone' with the current installed MIUI ROM etc?)
When I unlocked my ido's bootloader last year, I flashed the Chinese developer ROM using MiFlash, coming from a fake vendor ROM via EDL mode. Then in China dev ROM I unlocked the bootloader using MiUnlock.
After that I flashed TWRP (flash lazyscript before booting into the system or change to custom ROM immediatly because dm-verity is a b****).
I believe in recent ROMs, EDL mode was blocked by Xiaomi.
About the error: make sure you log in to the unlock tool with the same account as you are logged in to on your phone (the account with unlock permission). Then go to "developer options - Mi Unlock status" and make sure your account has been bound to the device there.
USB-debugging should be enabled, as well as OEM-unlock.
I do not know when you received the unlock code, but it is possible you'll have to wait a week or so. A lot of people have found that it suddenly works after a few days of waiting.
If you cannot switch to a developer ROM due to locked EDL mode, you should be able to flash your ido with locked bootloader using xiaomitool. http://en.miui.com/thread-835254-1-1.html
With this tool you can switch between MIUI ROMs on a locked bootloader.
I don't see any reason on why you download Mi 6 (sagit) recovery ROM instead of Redmi 3 (or Redmi Note 3 if it's what you're talking about) one. For "Current account is not bound to this device" error, wait for at least a week after you bind your Mi account with your phone before unlocking.

Now I have a rooted stable MIU9 V9.2.2.0 Laicnek and looking for the best battery saving Kernell, hope I can flash this simply with TWRP as everything is installed allready
What do I need to choose again in the options to flash a Kernell only ?
Otherwise the Lineos 15 with the latest Oreo (if there is an official version 15 already, as I see only a beta 2)

I have Redmi note 3 mtk version ( I think i have because my Rom version starts from LHN). As I know I have vendor Customized rom because for instance i don't have "oem unlocking" option in developer options.
Now, I have miui 9.6 Stable - 9.6.1.0(LHNCNFD) ROM updated OTA. I'd like to unlock bootloader but all the time I get info "couldn't verify. wait minute or two and try again" when I try "Add account and device". in developer options. I have an Mi user account with 100 pts security. I also chose my type of phone (redmi note 3 ) and region (Poland) in settings of account.
Is it possible to safetly flash any rom to unlock bootloader or flash global version of rom ( to have polish language) with locked bootloader. I read that it's solution with SP Flash Tool but it's required with edl method but as I know edl in new version of roms is also blocked. Is it true?
Hi, I have a redmi note 5 MEE7S. It actualy is buggy running MIUI V9.5.19.0.OEIMIFA stable global. I am able to connect to the phone ADB, fastboot and EDL.
Problem is : MIUI tells me that bootloader is unlocked but fastboot and all the MI utilities tell me that the bootloader is locked. Therefor I can't go trough the bootloader unlock process from Xiaomi as for MIUI it is already unlocked ! So I'm stuck....
I can't upgrade the phone to any official ROM by selecting manualy the package, I get the message : "can't verify update. Current version is illegal, only allowed to flash stable version".
The upgrade package I tried is a stable version ...
Any help would be nice.
