Hello everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ running Android 7.0, Samsung Experience version 8.1. I recently cleared the cache on the stock Android Messages texting app because I wasn't able to receive MMS messages, and now it's showing flashing, blank threads (looks like conversations are trying to sync, but aren't). I've attached a pic to better show the issue.
I searched the site and found someone else who had the same issue, but there wasn't an answer posted in that thread. I contacted the app developer and haven't received a response back. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Hi guys, only just got round to flashing to the official HTC T-Mobile(UK) ROM 1.72.110.4 and noticed some nice bonuses like a working youtube App from the get-go (yay) and facebook album integration from the manila contacts now show the pictures
Only thing is I'm sure there used to be a program that let me search the contents of the phone, which looks to have been replaced by bing search which isnt the same thing. Does anyone have a cab or know how else I can restore it? I cant remember where some of the apps save things so I used to just search my phone for the filename and voila. Would be nice to get that feature back. Please help

Did you search your phone to look for it
I have the same problem on a custom WM6.5 ROM for my Omnia. The tool is not there.
Was anyone able to add the "Search Phone" as a cab?

Been searching for this all morning with no luck.
Got given the bosses Galaxy S2 last week, so did a factory reset then an OTA update to 4.0.3 then started playing and setting it up for work use. I am using the inbuilt email program for my work POP3 account and the gmail program for the gmail account, viewing both through the combined email viewer - all working fine.
However, when I receive after hours voice mail messages from work, which send as a .wav file, the attachments wont show up, ie when viewing the email there is no attachments tab. If I try to forward the message, sure enough the attachment is there and visible and openable. All other attments seem to be showing OK (as in documents, PDF's, etc) just not the .wav files.
Is there a security setting or something somewhere that needs changing?
Well General is not the place where you stick questions. Moved to Q&A.
Sorry about that, thanks for relocating for me.
Further to the mystery, I mentioned if I try to forward the email I can now see the attachment in my outgoing message, well I decided to send the forward and the message that comes in now has the attachment visible...
This is what I mean - this is an incoming message where the attachment is not showing and no way of finding it -

Whereas this one that was received same as above, but then simply forwarded back to myself - now the attachment is visible so it was obviously always there
Bump!! Anyone?
I am getting the voice mails redirected to my gmail account today to see if it makes any difference.
I have a message thread between my fiance and I. But, for some reason, when i send her an MMS, it will create a new thread. So, then i will have 2 message threads between the same contact. Even when I am in the actual thread itself and try to add a photo that way, as soon as i click send, it appears as if the mms will go inside the same thread i'm already in, but then it disappears and when i go back to my conversations page, it shows as a new thread. Then all further sms' received will go inside the new thread the MMS created.
I already tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1227352&page=2
but all that did was merge the threads together, but, then again, i send an MMS and it creates a new thread.
i did notice, however, when i use SMS Backup and Restore and i use the "Backup selected threads" feature, it will show the phone number in different formats. EX: +1xxxxxxxxxx and +1 xxx-xxx-xxxx
I know that has something to do with it because every time i tried the method in the link above, The new MMS that created a new thread, will show up in the .xml file under a different number format than the other SMS'.
I don't understand why my phone doesn't recognize the number formats as the same contact .
PLEASE HELP!
Here is a screenshot of what i mean by 'Multiple Threads for the Same Contact'

Are your contacts properly synced to google? This happened to me before. But once I synced my contacts to google they're now properly merged. Weird issue though.
****Not my app or nor I have not been paid by this dev lol***
Now you can reply (not create) from your watch! You do not need an input device (ie minuum) to use it, but the reason for this thread is that you CAN use it with minuum to reply to texts. :good:

you must install from ADB not playstore
Btw, you can also create new messages with your Watch.
You have to install the Wear Mini Launcher and then start wear messenger and you're able to write new messages. The only problem is that you have to know the number of the contact you want to write^^
Another "problem" is that you only can reply and write SMS. You have to install the messenger bridge of the same dev to get the ability to answer to your Whatsapp messages. It will convert the whatsapp message into a sms with a prefix and convert it back to be sent via whatsapp.
Actually the dev works on the support of the latest whatsapp version. The Update will be live today or tomorrow he told me.
Does anyone know how to cancel a message once started? I couldn't do it and the only way out of the app was to send it (which I didn't want to do).
Hello everyone, I got a wileyfox swift 2 phone a couple of months ago and once the android 8 update came out, I updated my phone. Now, recently I installed a pi hole server on my home network and noticed that there is some strange dns queries being made by my phone. I have attached a picture of the requests. Can someone tell me if this is normal of there is some malware or virus affecting my phone. Also, I have tried a factory reset on the phone since I first thought it was a virus/malware but the requests still continue. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

many of those look like AD networks, legit ones though.
