Let's talk about cases and wireless changing - what works and what doesn't:
For example
Works
Generic charging back and cheap gel case works with Tylt charger
Generic charging back and cheap gel case works with LG hockey puck charger
Otterbox defender works with the tylt vu and qi sticker
Nillkin bumper case works with the Tylt wireless charger
Slim Armor works with the Tylt Vu
Qi sticker chip with generic eBay hockey puck (Powerbot clone) and it charges with Seidio Surface
Qi sticker (from GB) on OEM backing with Quick Circle Case (without the built in inductive) works on both the Tylt Vu as well as the LG WCP-300 puck.
Ringke slim case and with the 3 Coil wireless pad+original LG USB cable+2A Samsung charger (links in post #21)
but
Doesn't work
slim armor DIDNT work with Nokia Dt910
Works partially
3rd party quick circle case with wireless charging I got off of Ebay and ordered the WCD-100. Although it worked I kept
getting the center phone correctly message every time I put it on.
Best Buy Insignia TPU case has some trouble with the Tylt Vu. Wireless charging notification pops up frequently
How about posting here what we know works - and what doesn't. I'll update here from your posts so please make my life easier and give me something that I can just cut and paste.

You forgot about the Qi sticker chips for those who purchased.
I have a Qi sticker chip with generic eBay hockey puck (Powerbot clone) and it charges with Seidio Surface.
Overall, I think wireless charging will work with any case so as long there is no interference such as magnets or something.
My otterbox defender works with the tylt vu and qi sticker
Sent from my LG-D851 using XDA Free mobile app
My slim armor DIDNT work with Nokia Dt910. Had the on off issue. Ordered a lg wcd100 will see what happens.
EDIT : forgot to add that i got the slow charging message when using the case.
I have a 3rd party quick circle case with wireless charging I got off of Ebay and ordered the WCD-100. Although it worked I kept
getting the center phone correctly message every time I put it on. Returned that to Amazon and ordered the Tylt. If I continue to have
problems with that one when I get it then I'll know it's the case that's the issue.
This thread will be hard to follow just like the "What wireless charger works best with the G3" thread. I had to read that thread over and over. lol A list in the OP would be nice but a little time consuming to make I guess.
Nillkin bumper case works with the Tylt wireless charger. I will test the Insignia case at some point.

It should cut down on the same questions and not everyone has time to read a long thread. If OP didn't want to do it I could have done it
Maybe the OP also needs to add "a case and charger might work for someone and not another person. I guess depending on the sticker/placement".

I apologize for not updating the first thread within microseconds of someone posting - sheesh.
In order to make this thread worthwhile, we really need more information on some of the more obscure combinations. Stickers, for example, can come from multiple vendors and each may be a different quality. I'd suggest adding a link for no-name products. I'll continue to update the first post every couple of days for a while until we have a good representation of products.
I am using this OEM rear plate.
I am also using the Best Buy Insignia TPU case.
The charger is the Tylt Vu.
The Tylt works fine without the case on the phone but has trouble with this case.
Slim Armor works with the Qi sticker and the Amazon Cheotech charger....

It was a joke. Calm down. And my comment about the Seidio was because you updated the original post with stuff that was posted after mine and thought you missed it.
As for the Qi sticker chips, there's only one source that makes them but obviously sold by many others.
Just got my official LG qi charger WCD-100. I really like it, it's stable, and charges quite fast for qi. I got it for a pretty good deal so I don't mind and this is my 3rd qi charger that i currently have and by far the best one. It's really nice because I can't place my phone on it the wrong way. You just put it on and you're done! No alignment bs like on my other ones.
Qi sticker (from GB) on OEM backing with Quick Circle Case (without the built in inductive) works on both the Tylt Vu as well as the LG WCP-300 puck.
So, I finally received my sticker, and now I can wireless charge (yay), but my only Qi Charging Pad is the flat crappy Ebay one.
I'd like to get something similar to the Tylt Vu, at a reasonable price. Anyone have experience with:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/QI-Wireless...S_Cell_Phone_PDA_Chargers&hash=item4adb780ae4
or
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-LG-WCD-...S_Cell_Phone_PDA_Chargers&hash=item339185d666
I'm new to the wireless charging game, and I'm not sure how the compatibility works.
Thanks ahead of time for helping!

I totally agree with you.
I have the Nokia DT-900 and it works great on my Sprint G3, but have been unsuccessful thus far at finding any others that work as well.
I have a CHOE UPGRADED Qi Wireless Charger Charging Pad coming today. A colleague at work has it, and the phone tends to charge more often than not (if you get it in the sweet spot (hot zone)).
Good thing I have an Amazon prime account and return shipping is free! I've been doing quite a bit of buying and returning lately.

Yeah Prime is the best.
It seems the Tylt works well, but damn it...I don't want to spend upwards of $70 on a charger that could be outdated in a year or two.

Itian A6. It's a TYLT Vu clone and works. If you take the time to browse the forums or search, you'll see
http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=302985969
I went to http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/accessories/feeler-buy-qi-nfc-sticker-t2827738 and did a search for "itian a6"
Chargers using the new Qi spec should be coming later this year, so I think spending a lot of money now on something very soon to be outdated is not a good idea. I'm sticking with the $10-$15 ones that can be found on eBay. As long as they output 1000mA they're good enough for now.

Now that is some helpful information, thank you. Backwards compatible is the hotness.
FWIW The CHOE charger has worked really well for both my N5 and G3.
Kind of curious: has anyone tried the G3 with an AirDock:
http://www.theairdock.com/
Wondering if the curved back presents any problems with adhering to the micro-suction surface of the dock.
I have one and the charging works great. Only issue is that if the pad or surface isn't clean the phone doesn't like to stay put. The surface is some kind of nano technology. In my opinion it needs to be improved and the magnets need to be improved. The curved back does limit the overall contact surface area but I am getting a new SUPCASE and I am hoping that the material will stick better.
I have the AirDock, and it does not work with my cheap, Chinese Qi charging sticker. The very same sticker works on my Tylt Vu, however. I'm curious what Qi receiver you guys are using.
Thanks!
I found a couple of posts here on XDA that indicated the magnets in the Air Dock interfere with the Qi stickers. Air Dock (the company) doesn't recommend the mount for use with the G3.

Though on their website it clearly says supported (with additional hardware.) I assume this to mean with the QuickCircle charging case, which is horrendous and annoying. You are spot-on regarding the magnets. I asked if those can be removed, and support responded that they are necessary to keep the phone from sliding off. I am not convinced that is the case on the G3, because the phone slides off VERY easily without some sort of flat-back.
Sounds like G3 owners should just wait it out...
Me:
Howdy Howdy!
I noticed that the LG G3 is officially 'supported' (with additional hardware,) on your site, and I was curious if any developments have been made? I am still using the cheap Chinese sticker with my Tylt Vu, but of course that doesn't work on my original AirDock. Is there a recommended charging sticker, or do you guys still recommend the Circle case?
In all honesty, it's hard to recommend the naked G3 on the AirDock, because it can barely hold it. I have to clean my foam almost daily for it to stick, because the phone's back is curved. My friends with flat-back phones never seem to ever clean the foam and it works great.
Thank you!
-Steven
AirDock Support:
Hi Steven,
There are a couple things that are going to be better about Version 2.0 and the G3.
The transmitter in V2.0 will work well with that aftermarket receiver sticker. That's the biggest difference. It's an upgraded transmitter from V1.0
We will also be supplying a special version of V2.0 that will be curved to match the back of your G3 so that you can have the same grip strength as your flat backed phone owning friends!
Thanks
Me:
Whoa, that's awesome! I wish there was a trade-in option because I've been pretty bummed about this one, despite getting a few friends to pick one up for their more well-suited phones.
Thank you for the update!
Sounds great, but I already came up with my own solution. I grafted the Qi charger and phone clamp from this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M685JTG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (made by the same company as the Tylt Vu)
With the sticks-anywhere micro suction base of this:
http://www.amazon.com/iOttie-Windsh...UTF8&qid=1417825105&sr=8-1&keywords=iottie+xl
My only real complaint is that the Qi emits a shrill beeeeep every time it gets power (i.e., when I turn the car on).
But if the Air Dock 2 described above had been available, I probably would have bought that one. Good news for future buyers.

I have the original airdock and have been using it with my G3 with no problems. I have a thin ringke case and use the airdock sticker and it charges fine. I'm considering getting the LG g3 slim guard case because I don't like having the sticker on my phone. I read someone on here write that the LG g3 slim guard case sticks to the airdock.
What Qi receiver are you using?
I'm using a replacement battery cover with qi sticker that I bought on Amazon. I'm guessing the company puts the sticker on an oem battery cover but it has qi and nfc

Strange, then you are the first with an AirDock to get it working with the Qi sticker. I have followed the threads very closely, and even AirDock says it won't work. Do you have a link to the sticker/cover you bought?
Thanks!
I do... But I don't think I can post it. But if you go to Amazon the seller is 38 Ave. It's an oem battery cover with qi and nfc. I also just ordered the LG g3 slim guard case. I've read it works and sticks to the airdock.
I finally received the original LG g3 slim guard case. It is for the US version. It works great with the airdock. Sticks to it and charges it with no issues.

When you drive with GPS on, screen on, streaming music over bluetooth, does your battery stay charged? Mine won't even do that with a 2-amp USB connection. :/

Regardless of the input to the Qi charger, current Qi coils output at most 1 amp. But to answer your question, no, mine slowly discharges under the conditions you describe. If you're doing that for a long period, unplug the cable from the dock and plug it into your phone.

Dang. That's the entire time I've driving -- always. I should have done more research on Qi before ordering the sticker or any of these chargers. My Tylt has an almost impossible time keeping my phone charged when streaming and keeping the screen on at work. Nothing else going. Just heats up like crazy.

I don't seem to have any issues when I'm not streaming or using GPS. Just keeping the screen on seems to be fine. Make sure you're using a good USB cable. I found a couple of cheap ones I had wouldn't keep the phone charging consistently - it would keep cycling in and out of charge / discharge modes.
This won't help now, but there's a new Qi standard in development that is supposed to provide higher rates of charge. I do wonder how they'll deal with the extra heat, though.
Hi guys! I've been eyeing a wireless charger for a while now. I have the D855 which includes Qi wireless charging capabilities
.
Last time I purchases a generic charger for the Note 2 it got really hot for my liking.
I've had an eye for this one... Aukey N12:
http://www.aukey.com/product/wireless-charger-n12
Unfortunately I can only find this one on eBay Australia:
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=171730898638&alt=web
But it's $80+ down to $6.99 which is concerning.
So are there better alternatives (I assume there are heaps)?
Thanks!! [emoji4]
Will wireless chargers charge through some/all cases or covers?
It would be a pain to have to keep removing a cover (for example gel or plastic one) to be able to charge, espeically for those that are a really tight fit.
The Nokia wireless charges work flawlessly
The Nokia one is great but hard to find cheap.
Try the WCD-100 which is from LG and you can get it from Ebay for under $40-50. It works perfectly with the LG G3 (with a case). You just need to make sure you have a 1.5Amp USB charger as the WCD-100 doesn't come with a wall plug, just the USB cable.
I have several wireless chargers, the ones I like best are the Itian desktop charger and the Ikea Desk lamp charger. I have the Itian at work and the Ikea on my nightstand next to my bed. I need to put some clear rubber "feet" on the Ikea charger for easier alignment, and maybe find a way to add the charger for my G Watch R, but both work well. I should also add a disclaimer that I have only used the Ikea charger with the LG quick circle case, bit the Itian worked with the thinner cases, not so much with the leather book case (plastic and leather between the phone and charger)
@Aid777
It really depends on how thick it is. I reckon <4-5mm will be able to. I hope to get one soon and I'll let you know when I do.
You guys believe this is indeed a genuine product? the seller really emphasizes the legitimacy of it a number of times in the description.. given the price what do you guys thinks?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Sam...859259?hash=item3f7e79ec7b:g:b1EAAOSwH09ZNrc1
It's even cheaper on Aliexpress

As for authenticity, it will probably be the same Samsung charger that is sold without the Samsung branding. What happens in China is once they get the specs and production blueprints from the OEM, they start making on the side for themselves, in addition to supplying the OEMs with required number. Remember the previous fast wireless charger from Samsung which they sold for $75? The same thing has been available on Aliexpress for over a year now for about $15 and I have not seen anyone complaining about it.
Three years back I bought a 3 coil wireless charger called Itian A6 from Aliexpress for less than half the price of Tylt Vu from which they cloned it. And to this day it is working fine and I am currently using it to charge my S8+. But at this price, I am seriously considering getting the clone of Samsung's new convertible wireless charger.
Well.. this dude proves the non genuine Samsung wireless charger is crap, which is the main reason I asked the question:
Issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkR3H1Tnlp0
Resolution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fr4RlrfHIMk
I guess that can also happen. But if you buy from Aliexpress, you have buyer protection and all you need to do is make a video that demonstrates the issue (within the stipulated time) and you will get a full refund.
In 2015 I and a friend bought 16000mah power banks by Choetech that can charge itself and other devices with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 spec. When we got the power banks, my friend's was working fine but mine won't charge itself with QC2.0 (as indicated by the lack of green LED) although it did charge other devices with QC2.0 speeds. I took some photos indicating the issue and the seller issued a full refund of $30.

What a douche, he buys a fake one and whines about it that it doesn't work.
Personally i wouldn't buy anything from china that says its genuine and is half price of the original msrp, expect it to be fake.
I bought one of these it's definitely fake, it feels cheap and nasty. It's not even leather... it's hard rubber you can even see the joint molding on the side. It scent is very strong, I usually have my qi charger sitting in front of me on my desk just above my keyboard but now its back in the box waiting to hear back from the seller for a refund.
The sliding mechanism does not slide like the genuine product doesn't feel solid, cheap sliding mech with a lot of friction.
The bottom rubber which is suppose to help the device not slide around doesn't even touch the table it's too thin.
Also does not come with a charger or cable just the pad and clearly a poor quality USB-C adapter due to the print was half faded.
After all that it does support fast charging which was surprising lol I haven't tested it long enough to see if it cuts out etc
Thanks for the info! I'll be sure to NOT buy these then..
